    CLIP DESCRIPTION:
O'Neil (Kurt Russell) and Jackson (James Spader) infiltrate the pyramid in disguise and attack the Horus guards.
    FILM DESCRIPTION:
This lucrative, elephantine-budgeted sci-fi opus paved the way for director Roland Emmerich's mega-hit Independence Day (1996). The story commences in Giza, Egypt, circa 1928, where an archaeological expedition unearths an ancient ring with cryptic hieroglyphs. The film then moves to the present day, where Egyptologist Daniel Jackson (James Spader) is busily trying to convince a group of skeptics that the pyramids were not built by man, but by an extraterrestrial force. After the lecture, a military man approaches him and offers him a job translating the said ring; its inscriptions actually constitute a map to a massive stargate (or interstellar portal). The army sends over resident crackpot colonel Jack O'Neill (Kurt Russell) to travel through the stargate and see what's on the other side; Jackson accompanies him, and the two men turn up in a desert planet on the other side of the universe, with three moons in its sky. The world in question is ruled by Ra (Jaye Davidson), a hermaphroditic Egyptian sun god, who oppresses hordes of slave workers. Jackson and O'Neill then join forces to help the said workers revolt against their oppressor.

Tbh, that armor is pretty effective, even if it doesn't protect their torso much. You are naturally more inclined to shoot the big, scary (and armored) head. It's the same trick the Arkham Knight tells his militia Batman uses, the one with the bat symbol on his chest, where his armor is strongest. Even O'neil can't help himself but to shoot the headpiece.

@Masked Vigilante the same way for the Sontarans, as they would also enjoy using the Goa'uld and their Jaffa Warriors for target practice. Like the Klingons, Sontarans do not fear death, and they also have a sense and code of honor.
General Staal "Staal The Undefeated" of the 10th Sontaran Battle Fleet: "Excellent skills of deduction! I would rate you above average, soldier. Well done. Whereas you, you smell of sweat and fear."

its highly questionable where these guards has metal helmets to protect their head in a fight but they do not have any protection on to their bodies their body is well open for for attack just having cloths and parts are exposed, so not sure what is the reason to have that big metal helmets on their head only , also they have laser weapons but still wear sandals with bear foot so the Technology does not sync well

It suffered from some clichés and I didn't care for the big rebellion battle at the end.
The first half was interesting and fun but then it dragged a little until the scenes with Ra. Which are, in my opinion some of the best in cinema.
The atmosphere and feel of the movie changes entirely once he's introduced.

Sadly this wasn't technological advancement. The Go'auld are brain parasites that control the hosts. They raraely develop their own techbologies. They brought their culture of control and mythos with them when they enslaved the humans of Earth thousands of years ago by posing as gods from numerous pantheons.
