4 Week Old Husky Puppy Meets Dad & Bonds For The 1st Time (TOO Cute!) Mom Still Protects!

- *LIKE & SUBSCRIBE* Memphis the Husky dad (who was neutered when this puppy was conceived. A more than million to one shot, hence the singleton puppy Yoda that resulted) finally gets close to his new puppy of 4 weeks of age, and mom Nikkita, while still on guard a bit, is much more accepting of having dad around his puppy, and Memmy is cleaning Yoda's ears and licking him. They do discipline their pups starting at a very young age, especially since he had no littermates, it was their job to take over the role of the missing pups and be parents, rule & protect, and little Yoda has turned out incredibly. Never even play bit me or the kids. NEVER!!! Never had a pup like that. They always bit and I was scared, being alone and all. Sometimes it got really scary to us, but it was very normal after talking to the vet and also reading up online. We humans can't understand it, but they can't speak or use time outs so their ways can look scary, but it's all in love and instinct. You'll see that as these videos go on. Again, it can look scary and you aren't supposed to interrupt it, but I did sometimes when I got super frightened. They never harmed him in any serious way, just like a spanking I guess you could say, although I am not a spanker personally, again they do not talk so this is their way.. just to teach him. They have their family ranking too. Who is the alpha, etc. Memphis always set his place in the family, but the puppy father bonding was super sweet, wish I grabbed the camera sooner, and mom is more willing, as they are after 3 weeks comes, usually, every mo is different. We waited for this at 4+ weeks. This was her only puppy. SUCH a good mommy she still is. See how she has her paw resting over the baby? Soo sweet!

My chihuahua has puppies and she lets the father look at them, she even lets him go inside the dog house. When she leaves the dad stays and keeps them safe.
Yeah, when I was a kid the neighbors had a golden that had her first litter of pups. They were only a few days old and she invited me into the den she made herself to come meet them and just laid there never growled or bore her teeth at me. Years later, they moved and gave her to us and before she died of cancer, she was the most gentle intelligent dog ever.
Dad: "He's just so cute I could eat him~!"
Mothers are protective because theirr pups are basically helpless plus in the wild male and even fathers have the tendency of killing pups because of rival or hunger reasons or pack size.
If a pup is from another pack or pack member they can be attacked.
If the packsize is too big the Alpha can attack the pups too.
And yes even if food is scarce pups can be targetted.
Hence why moms instinctively keep away anyone from their pups.
Even aggressively if necessary.
i think this rule goes a long way in the animal kingdom lool

I don't think it's knowledge that it's his son but I biological intuition. Dogs need the ability to love small cute things just as much as humans. because if they don't have an intuition to protect their future generations, the gene pool won't survive very long. Especially with dog that have relatively small litters compared to a lot of other animals with a very high pup mortality rate. So I don't think the dog looks at it and thinks "that's my son" but more like the reaction we get when we see a baby on the street. Our brains rush with dopamine, we smile and say "awe" and all we wanna do is squeeze their cheeks.

in this one you can see that dad/Mem is a little jealous we wanted mom /kitas attention didn't really know that Yoda's his son yet just wanted ktas affection/ attention .. I think it's cute but if you ask Yoda at that time he'd say something a lot different. .. now this is my second opinion in this.. Lol
