    Thank you for another GREAT teaching video. We all appreciate your willingness to share your expertise. I love that you kept in all of the extra work you had to do - good to know that even with all of your expertise that sometimes it doesn't work out like you intended. That gives us newbies hope :)

      I felt it was a valuable teaching exercise. I am not perfect and this shows that along with how to take an error and make it work.

    Thank you for using the sterling tines. I was flustered after finely dipping into the sterling stash and having left over parts. It like leaving money on the table .

    Another great teaching video. The rings are gorgeous. Thank you for leaving in the extra work part. That was very helpful to me. Somehow I also get a bevel.
    Thank you for sharing all your knowledge and time ❤️

    Great rings! If you restrict the flux to the area you want filled, you'll limit the solder spread. Or you can paint the outer edge of the target area with ochre to achieve same.

    Nice video. Very informative 👍 😀 I would like to figure out how how you cut the forks. And I was wondering if they are plated silver or thoroughly sterling. How to figure it out...the stamp marks?

    Can you do this with silver plated forks?
    Where do I find hard/med solder?
    Is the solder sterling silver?

    • @FlatwearableArtisanJewelry
      @FlatwearableArtisanJewelry  2 года назад

      You will have less than satisfactory results. The amount of filing, sanding, multiple levels of soldering, etc. are all going to damage the plating. You could remove the plating and re-plate after but that all increase your time and cost. We carry pre-cut solder chips in hard, med, easy, and x-easy in a convenient flip-top box on our website. We also carry the same solders in wire form. They are meant for use with sterling silver. www.flatwearable.net/home/soldering-station/
