4:42 no L R pan tell me about it dude, that my main complaint about modern mixers. As a man who's made sampled based hip-hop for over 30 years this is a standard on most old mixers and a must have for older recordings were things like the rhythm sections will be hard panned, I find it unbelievable that I can't find any 2 channel DJ mixers with this feature today. Appreciate the review my man, you covered a lot of stuff people don't.
Thanks for checking out the video. I appreciate it. That’s a fact about older recordings. Also as a DJ it’s fun to pan something to the left or right speaker sometimes. I guess I will have to plug in my old vestax to do that 😆
dope review!!! I recently picked this up as well. And not gonna lie. your older numark scratch video was one of the only few that gave an honest opinion and helped me make the purchase. And you are right, the upfaders are too close to the cross faders.
I really appreciate that my bro. Thanks so much for letting me know. It’s an honest review because they did not send it to me to review it 😂. I wish they did tho lol. ☮️
Does anybody else find that the vinyl volume is way lower than the digital volume of Serato files? I want to mix my laptop with vinyl but find that I have to really push the gain on the vinyl to get it close to matching.
I definitely forgot to mention this in my follow up review. Thank you for pointing this out. It is a big problem and I find myself cranking up the gain all the way just to keep it somewhat close to what’s playing from the laptop. Very big problem for sure.
@ thanks for confirming. I wasn’t sure if I have a bunk unit. I’ve been sitting on this thing for a couple of years and just pulled it out of storage because I finally got a MacBook that can handle Serato. I guess one can just make sure your levels are low on the digital before you start your mix. I hate having no headroom on the gain in the middle of a mix.
@@sosanistaI definitely think this mixer is meant to use either all vinyl or all serato. But not mixed together unfortunately. Big flaw. I appreciate you commenting about that. As I forgot to mention it 🙏
@@DJREALONE-CHI Still messing with it. Having lots of headroom on the mixer when you start helps + outing to a preamp with volume control is also a must I think. I'm just using in a home environment so not a huge deal. I do say though that the phono stage on this mixer sounds really nice to my ears despite the issues stated above. I'm pushing this through a vintage tube receiver.
@@sosanista I have used it at events before and it worked well with both. You are right about having it run through a pre amp to help control that volume. The vintage tube mixer. Wow. That’s interesting. Glad it’s working out for you so far.
This was my first controller/mixer, bought it in Mar. 20 and used it for about a year then graduated to the Rane 72...I just needed MORE! That crossfader was MEAN though... I'm from SA btw...TX❤
Salute fam. Thanks so much for tuning in. Yea man I’m still not ready to go all in on the digital 😂. So for now this joint is definitely solid. TX stand up. ☮️
The only effects that work with the vinyl is the filter knob. So it was disappointing for other effects not to work. But for the price this is a great mixer. I’m sure more expensive mixers would have the effects built in for vinyl.
That is one thing I forgot to mention. Thanks for asking. It is OK. But when mixing from a record audio to digital. You have to either crank up the record volume. Or turn the digital way down. But overall output is not to bad when only playing records.
I’ll be honest with you I’m not even sure what pitch and play is lol. I’m kind of old school so I don’t mess with some new features. I do know you can set up your hot cues and use the shift button to change functions that sync with your laptop. But I’m not familiar with pitch n play.
Hello can i ask u about numark scratch,my numark scratch and 1turntable, connect to serato...and went upload song, the song become auto fast pitch...went not connecting to pc both can use perfectly
I don’t believe serato is a recording program. So in order to get your vinyl in to serato as an mp3. You would have to use another computer program to record it as audio then save as mp3. I use a program called twisted wave on Mac. But there are many to record in and then save as mp3. Then place the mp3 in to serato library.
Ok I’m on a windows laptop and looking to convert my vinyl collection to mp3, I’m new to serato and just got the numark scratch still trying to work it out haha! I need to buy the control vinyl but was hoping there was a way to mix in my normal vinyl through serato for now
@@Aaron-simpson92 it’s definitely a large process. For me personally I was lucky to have some DJ homies who gave me hard drives full of music. I think as a beginner the best way is to join an online record pool such as beat junkies or bpm supreme. Make an account and download all the mp3s. I personally didn’t want to make the task of converting my music. Unless the songs are rare and not available online.
🤣 probably. But never actually kept track. It’s over 20 years of djing so I’m sure it’s around that much. Records use to be cheaper though back then 1-10$. Now the prices are crazy that’s why I switched to serato after all these years 😆
Compared to some old school mixers I have this one just doesn’t connect well for me. And no hole for an actual wire if your ground attachment is broken. I guess I’ve been spoiled with my vestax mixers over the years 😂

Yessir. I got you 🫡
Love from INDIA Brother.. keep it going.
Appreciate you, Bro! 🤝
Thank you for the info about the crossfader distance from the faders
Dope video, I see you MIC’d up!!!! Legit! Appreciate the shout out and great points on the mixer.
No doubt. Had to step the mic game up. Thanks for checking it out. ☮️

I know im late to the game. But you were a pioneer with it 😆 thanks for checking it out 🫡
Very useful thank you !
No problem. Thanks for tuning in.

i like the size of the filter knobs haha it's just. super comfortable

shout out all the djs who beta tested serato for DJ Real One
100 on that. Thank y’all for preparing it for me to use in 2024 😂
the hardware effects arent that easy to add, as they need to program a dsp chip for that, the filters are analogue...
Thanks for the review. What´s the phono audio quality like?

Yea I use the records more than I do the digital. I think it’s a great mixer to transition in to digital for sure. Or even only do records.

I’m not sure how to help with this problem. It might be an issue with your serato software. Not the mixer. Check the settings in the serato program

Holy man thats a lot of vinyl.. how much you think you've spent 30 grand?. Ive bought 200 records the past 2 months cand already spent 4000$ Canadian

Do the crossfader is still ok ?
One year later crossfader still working well and very smooth.
Use this mixer with djay pro ai it’s way better
No doubt. I will have to check that out.
