The two guys in the beginning playing the banjos remind me of back in the late 70s 80s of The Mandrell Sisters. We use to watch them every week on television my father absolutely loved them. They were so fantastic and so pretty❤

Looks like a wonderful day out and a beautiful setting sitting there on the restaurant porch. The food looks excellent for the most part especially the ham and the pot roast and the meatloaf and the mashed potatoes, not a big fan of beans I would rather it have been scalloped potatoes with ham. I don't think I would pay $12 for the coconut cake or for the pickled eggs. Overall it looked like a very nice experience! ❤🇺🇸🙏🏻👍🏻

It's crazy but I don't like beets but I love pickled beets eggs my mama use to make them all the time at Easter

Mornin' guys!! the coconut cake looked so good, it's my fav!! Also love me some pinto beans, they are a big deal here in SW OK!! I love them with cheese and chopped onions!! Don't care for chow chow or beets however! I use pico de gallo instead. The grounds w/ the flowers and water were just amazing! 11 bucks? wow that's a deal!! thanks for the review guys, have a great day!!

We have turnip or collard greens at least once a week. They're so good!! My family is from Central PA, but moved to the south when I was 4 and the public school system introduced me and I fell in love!!! Pinto beans are amazing!!! If you eat refried beans in a Mexican restaurant, then you like pintos. All of that looks amazing!!!

My first mother-in-law loved bitter turnip greens but my mother didn’t and she always put 1/2 up to 1 teaspoon of white sugar in a pot of turnip greens and that took the bitterness out and made all the difference in the world in the taste. I could not eat the bitter turnip greens but I absolutely love to eat and Love to smell the turnip greens with the sugar in them boiling. It makes the whole house smell wonderful to me.

That food looked fresh and delicious, the gravy was eye catching, the seating area outside looked layed back and relaxing 😌. Generous portions and priced right. PS that cornbred looked like it would melt in your mouth. I would have to try the so. butter peacon cheesecake 🍰

See John that is why you should never prejudge before you try something. You could be missing out on so many good things to eat! Those eggs look so good I am going to have to make them at home!! That food looked soo good I am definitely going to stop in when I get back there this fall.Country ham can be an acquired taste but once you learn to appreciate that aged flavor you crave it and love it. You two make a great team reviewing restaurants because your tastes are so different, you cover all sides of the taste spectrum. Another fantastic video ! Hey I love your channel and love your vids, especially the ones at Dollywood! Speaking of Dollywood, a friend of mine who has never been and me (I have been once with my Mom years ago and all I rode was the train, we ate at Aunt Granny's buffet and I didn't even get any cinnamon bread because I didn't know about it when I went) are going the week after June 15th when the Smoky Mountain Summer Celebration festival will just have begun. I would love to know about the Tasting Pass for that festival as well as the menu for the open-air buffet in Country Fair. How soon will you be doing those two vlogs after the festival begins on the 15th? I would love to watch those ASAP because they are so informative and it will help us make a decision about taking advantage of the Tasting Pass and that buffet. THANKS!!

If you have eaten Mexican food most refried beans are made from pinto beans. Food looks pretty good compared to the outdoor buffet place, that food on another site looked awful. Great video ty!

I love pickled eggs although I’ve never had pickled deviled eggs. I’ll give you a pass for having never had pinto beans and greens. West Virginia broke off from Virginia to side with the north during the civil war so it’s half Yankee anyway!! LOL! Thanks for another great video!!

Way “back in the day”, Granny Ogle’s had an all you can eat beans and greens dish with unlimited skillets of cornbread. I so wish they would bring it back! Beans and greens are one of the cheapest meals you can make, hence their popularity from many years ago. That said- Those prices for a single serving are just way too much.

Can be chopped green tomatoes, bell peppers, sweet onions, cabbage cooked in vinegar, sugar, cinnamon, allspice and cloves then canned. Also can be red tomatoes, celery, red kidney beans, califlower, onions cooked in vinegar and sugar then canned. Can be eaten as a side dish or put on hot dogs, cornbread, etc.
