So I don't drink any alcohol at all but I do a lot of stage acting, and often times we do scenes that involve things like cocktail parties or bar scenes. We substitute real liquor with nonalcoholic beverages but we need to make it look legit, and this video helped me pick out some excellent glasses that look the part on camera.
Btw it's WeiZen not Weisen, you have to press the tip of your tongue against your front teeth, it has to sound hard. And you Swedish is funny, it sounds more like Thai :D
The new set is very nice, and kudos for the Buzz Lightyear toy in the background! :) My problem with the Ikea glassware is that almost every single one of them is just *gargantual*. Like most cocktails would be 90, 105 or 120 ml and Ikea sells these enormous 250, 270, 300, 350 ml glasses. lol I have the Frasera you've shown on the video which is a great rocks glass, cocktails look pretty in it. They also sell something like the Framträda but with cubes carved onto the outside, which is great of like a Jungle Bird or some smaller crushed ice cocktails.
Hello Marcus and Leandro ! I was wondering what glasses you were using for coupe cocktails (by that, I mean the same glasses from the "My 4 favorite gin cocktails" video for example) ? If I check the specs, most of the cocktails you make in those glasses are around 3 oz (90 ml). But the ones I find on the internet and that looks like yours, labelled as "champagne coupe" are "200 ml" or around 7 oz, and I feel like this would look half empty if I were buying those for my cocktails. Is it the same or do you have a different capacity ? Thanks, keep up the good work, love your bids guys ☺️
Sorry for the late comment, but I just found this video. I'm having trouble finding the OMTÄNKSAM glasses. They're not showing up on the Ikea website. However, there are a lot of other, apparently unrelated, products with the same name. Some further research revealed that the OMTÄNKSAM line was designed for people with disabilities and includes the glassware, various pieces of furniture and even jar grippers. Thus, the translation of the name as "thoughtful" makes a lot of sense. All well and good, but I still have to track down some of those glasses!
Ok, literally a week ago I went on IKEA to replace a stemless wine glass I love and saw the pearl diver-esk glass & bought it! Great minds think alike!
no you buy it :) you're not supposed to take the yellow bags that they use to hand out in the store. But haven't seen those in ages so they might have stopped doing those, at least here in the US. Or maybe it's because of covid.
the thing about Marie Antoinette's boobs being the inspiration for the coupe glass is not true. For one thing, she was born like fifty years after the coupe glass itself was created. But most of the things we hear about Marie Antoinette are hyperbole or myth so it makes sense that people still say that
DAS IST EIN WEIZENGLAS hahaha great german pronounciation! but i have to do my part in being a german on the internet and correct you on the Z. it's pronounced like a sharp TS. also great video and good to see you guys again
Cool! I found this episode really educating! I’m gonna be moving back to my home country and I need to restock/expand my home bar. I’ve no idea IKEA had so many different glasses! P.S love the new set and the buzz doll!!
Each time I am in their store I had to restrain myself from buying new cocktail glass since I do not have any more space in the flat ;/.. but this Sallskaplig I have not seen yet..
Whoa! Slow down. I have no idea what the glasses really look like. I was looking forward to seeing some glassware. You should shoot this one again at a slower speed!
If you are ever trying to get rid of glassware I’m a bar manager for a cocktail bar in Massachusetts. Feel free to reach out I would have use for a lot of that kind of glass ware. Please message me or ask for my email!
Now I’m down a rabbit hole of looking at IKEA glassware so, thanks 😅 Thankfully my SO was already going to order stuff from IKEA I’ll sneak a few things in! Love the new set!!
I love the new set!!! Sorry I couldn't support it, but looks like a lot of folks stepped up. Love this episode! Love the Metalshake T-shirt, too! Question about T-shirts: can you guys restock the shirt with the three classic cocktails in the line drawing? by the time I got around to getting one it was gone. 😞 I'd love to get that one and a metalshake one and a slappy poo one.
Good video. I have been using the tall glass for Collins and Tiki and a short rocks glass for a while. I will have to go back and look at some of the other glasses. My only complaint about buying glassware is that most glasses are too big for cocktails. To get the "right" size, you have to get them from a restaurant supply store.
hey leandro, i noticed you have a bottle of velvet falernum up there. does that not need to be refrigerated? i have a bottle but have been waiting on opening it bc i dont want it to go bad
Nah it has enough alcohol to keep it relatively stable unrefrigerated. The flavor will fade over time but your nose and taste can tell you when that happens :)
I've been meaning to see this episode for quite a while now, I was finally able to do it, wohoo! By any chance have you seen something similar to a Nick & Nora in IKEA or some other not so expensive store? cheers
New Zealand, they're not in New Zealand. We've been promised a store but no idea when it will be open yet. So you can use that for Ikea trivia night.
Yoooo, that set looks so good (love the background buzz)
So I don't drink any alcohol at all but I do a lot of stage acting, and often times we do scenes that involve things like cocktail parties or bar scenes. I love the martini glass. So simple and perfect, just as i like it. No weird designs or anything
"Das ist ein Weizen Glas!" made my day! Weiter so, feier euch beide extrem!
Keep it up, I'm extremely hyped about you two!
7:09 I love how non-German speaking people emphasize the "angry" part of the pronunciation :D
To be fair, it was pretty spot on!
For an Italian American, it was surprisingly good
Hope you guys do a set tour soon it feels like ages since you guys first said you were building a proper set. It looks fantastic.
I collect cocktail glasses and my favorite place to find them is second hand stores for sure!
Good will glass ware shopping is the best!
The new set it Killer!!! Can't wait to see it in all the videos! Oh yea that Opal machine!
Cool new set!
Those rock glasses though. They're all over tv, can't unsee that now.
Yes, lol. IKEA is a big source for Film and TV props. So easy to buy and return :)
HANS, DAS IST EIN WEIZEN GLAS!
Btw it's WeiZen not Weisen, you have to press the tip of your tongue against your front teeth, it has to sound hard.
And you Swedish is funny, it sounds more like Thai :D
Hey! That Christmassy glass DEFINITELY looks like a crystal Christmas Bell on a stem! BTW Love the new set!!
And I thought I was the regular rebel having some of my favourite cocktail glasses from IKEA! XD
The New Set looks great! And some great info!
thanks david
Yeah! Metal Shake! 🤟🤟
Gotta say one of my favorite secrets is checking TJ Max for RCR brand glasses
Love those glasses too!
Go to home goods, they have tons of those! All of my glassware is from RCR and I love the way all of them look and feel 🔥🙌🏻
Great video!!!! Now you can do all of your bitters. Happy new year guys!!!
Nice to see the new space.
The new set is very nice, and kudos for the Buzz Lightyear toy in the background! :)

Kate Moss isn't the only South London supermodel
Sorry for the late comment, but I just found this video.

This is really cool, I love Ikea but I didn't even know they had soooo much glassware!
Weird that I found this today. Just kitted out my little home setup with Ikea glasses earlier today.
Kinda funny that the Omtänksam glasses aren't purchasable from the Swedish IKEA stores...
Barfly Freepour is back.....with a bullet......
No I don't know why I said that......but people in movies say it, and it sounds cool! Great Video!
😂
Nice, fancy new set!
Hah, I took a look at their glassware before watching the video and picked out pretty much the same glasses! Great finds.
Haha, i liked your Swedish. I'm from Sweden and i'm going to IKEA tomorow. 👍 Cheers
Ok, literally a week ago I went on IKEA to replace a stemless wine glass I love and saw the pearl diver-esk glass & bought it! Great minds think alike!
they're great glasses :)
I really like the Svalka snaps glasses for liqueurs
I have a few of the Frasera glasses. I really like them and they have a nice weight.
I missed you guys!
i missed this so much
It'll probably be drowned but you guys should pick up some of their 365+ goblet glasses for egg white sours or what not
All the Germans...haha :) I like the Pearl diver glass from Ikea
Every time I go to make a blended margarita it turns out really watery and tasteless...I could use super tips from y’all
go to main channel and watch our margarita videos :) We don't have a lot of blended though ruclips.net/user/theeducatedbarfly
Mix the lime juice and simple syrup and freeze into cubes. Use that in the recipe. Then as it melts it won't water down the drink.
You know you aren’t supposed to take the BBB (Big Blue Bag), right?
no you buy it :) you're not supposed to take the yellow bags that they use to hand out in the store. But haven't seen those in ages so they might have stopped doing those, at least here in the US. Or maybe it's because of covid.
@@freepour
They disappeared during Covid. I’d wager washing them is a pain.
You are not showing each glass for long enough to barely see it and appreciate it. Thumbs done ✅
Where are you going to put the names of the people who supported the new set build?
We’ll have pretty much an entire wall dedicated to it :)
When you look at the IKEA world map an your country is the only yellow one in the middle of a blue Europe XD
Yellow means planned opening, so hopefully soon!
Was this filmed in your new studio?
Yes it was. It’s not completely finished yet but it is done enough to film on finally! :)
Glenclairn
damn the omtänksam no longer exists
Video starts @ 2:55
Hahahahaa
Goods= goodies?
Godis = sweets/candy more or less
ALL HAIL IKEA!
Where's Marius from?
He’s from Norway
@@freepour I though so, considering his pronunciation of the Swedish words.
And neighbour to me, the home of Ikea :)
the thing about Marie Antoinette's boobs being the inspiration for the coupe glass is not true. For one thing, she was born like fifty years after the coupe glass itself was created. But most of the things we hear about Marie Antoinette are hyperbole or myth so it makes sense that people still say that
still a good story though
The letter Ä is pronounced as an E. Even norwegians get this wrong apparently.
“I don’t know what countries they aren’t in...” shows map with two entire continents with only three countries between them with IKEA stores.
DAS IST EIN WEIZENGLAS hahaha great german pronounciation! but i have to do my part in being a german on the internet and correct you on the Z. it's pronounced like a sharp TS. also great video and good to see you guys again

P.S love the new set and the buzz doll!!
Is this really the first video where we can see you in the new set and you guys don‘t talk about it??😂
Yep. Aaaand yep!
Nice set btw. Maybe a tad more lighting needed.
Each time I am in their store I had to restrain myself from buying new cocktail glass since I do not have any more space in the flat ;/.. but this Sallskaplig I have not seen yet..
So glad you are back guys. Really like IKEA, and this review is fantastic. For that price, it's a great glassware start. Cheers and Happy Holidays!
Diggin' the new set. Love the warmer colors. Feels a lot more homey yet modern. (And now the Surf Side Sips will always be an arm's reach away) XD
Just a suggestion....take glass out and let sit on table instead of pulling them out moving them around then immediately putting back in box.
We'll try and do that for the next time :)
The thing i look for in a glass more than anything is that they are very clear. Some cheap glasses just don't seem clean or clear.
The Sälskapelig have an odd size of 27 cl. What Cocktails would you use them for? I have them but am wondering
I'm now going to go on a full IKEA glassware run and feel like a kid in a candy shop. Thank you for this valuable information! XD
Love the set! Love Marius’s knowledge of the pronunciation and love the content. You guys are great
Whoa! Slow down. I have no idea what the glasses really look like. I was looking forward to seeing some glassware. You should shoot this one again at a slower speed!
i love glassware but i barely drink alcohol :(
Thanks for the suggestion
whoa i need to go to ikea soon
If you are ever trying to get rid of glassware I’m a bar manager for a cocktail bar in Massachusetts. Feel free to reach out I would have use for a lot of that kind of glass ware. Please message me or ask for my email!
Where in MA?
Tbh, the glass you presenting 7:18, is actually called a Pilsner glass in germany:)
😂
Look nice
Now I’m down a rabbit hole of looking at IKEA glassware so, thanks 😅 Thankfully my SO was already going to order stuff from IKEA I’ll sneak a few things in! Love the new set!!
Hi!!!!! I’m a newbie to the channel names Nicole....
Hi! Welcome!
We just found this channel last week, and I feel like we have watched like 2 or 3 videos a day since. Thanks for this content.
Lol we don't have an Ikea here in middle Tennessee
I say things like that so y’all will tell me exactly where all the ikea’s aren’t LOL
And what if you don't want to support IKEA?
You're just missing out on some nice affordable glasses, that's all. To each their own :)
Ikea is one of my fav place to shop. Not necessarily quality. But trendy enough
This video is exactly what I needed. I'm about to get rid of all of my current glassware and re-up with these goodies - great $ too!
Is Marius Finnish or Norwegian?
Norwegian
Homegoods and Goodwill are great places to find inexpensive barware
7:15 das ist ein Stout Glas! Weizen is taller
I have the Storhet glasses. A pretty glass and great price.
I see that Strong Water mug back there on the shelf. 👀
Really like the new set! And thank you for the glass advice
Set looks great. I'm glad this channel is running again.
This seemed more like a glassware box video
Really great episode. Loving the new set
I love this kind of video, is super helpful 🥰
I love the new set!!! Sorry I couldn't support it, but looks like a lot of folks stepped up.
Love this episode! Love the Metalshake T-shirt, too! Question about T-shirts: can you guys restock the shirt with the three classic cocktails in the line drawing? by the time I got around to getting one it was gone. 😞 I'd love to get that one and a metalshake one and a slappy poo one.
Yes we can do that :)
I want my kitchen to look like your set! 😍
Good video. I have been using the tall glass for Collins and Tiki and a short rocks glass for a while. I will have to go back and look at some of the other glasses. My only complaint about buying glassware is that most glasses are too big for cocktails. To get the "right" size, you have to get them from a restaurant supply store.
Get em there too :)
Loving the new set! Well worth the wait!
I really like the coupe (Storhet)!
What a SET! Well done guys!
Champlane flutes.

Nah it has enough alcohol to keep it relatively stable unrefrigerated. The flavor will fade over time but your nose and taste can tell you when that happens :)
I bought some ikea glasses a month ago and one of my coupes cracked while I was scrubbing it ;_;
Some of them are thin so be careful when washing. That goes for all glassware though.
Just got £300 in IKEA vouchers for my new home and this is answering all the questions
with £300 you'll never ever run out of glassware lol
set look 100!
I've been meaning to see this episode for quite a while now, I was finally able to do it, wohoo!
By any chance have you seen something similar to a Nick & Nora in IKEA or some other not so expensive store? cheers
Hmm, don't really recall seeing any. Not sure where you live, but have you looked into the Amehla glasses we use a lot? amzn.to/2XY8Jr4
@@freepour oh awesome, thank you Leandro!
The real question is when did you get that Buzz Light-year.
It’s my Son’s toy. He’s over it now though so I stole it 😂
