I think it's a national thing. Us Americans love Luigi but over there they seem to really dislike him. I understand Mario is the star but Luigi is actually better, he runs faster and jumps higher than Mario. Also there's a theory that Mario lives in Luigi's shadow in the real world which is why he loves being in the Mushroom Kingdom because he gets to be the hero and the one everybody adores.

i would have never though this game would be so much fun (at least it looks like it is a lot of fun) it exceeded my expectation by a lot i am a big x-com fan so yeah have to have it and rabbit peachwith her slidekick...aewsome...i am also very interessted how a yoshi rabbit would turn out

So this is my rendition of the plot. The Rabbids were up to no good, and started causing trouble in Mushroom neighborhood, then Mario got in one little fight and Luigi got scared, and he said "you're moving in with Beep-0 and Rabbid Peach in Bel Air."

Cyberpunked yes he can. It has been stated in multiple games that he runs faster and jumps higher. Hell you can even test it in games by putting them side by side and having them jump at the same time. Not to mention in all smash brothers games Luigi is always top tier and Mario is always bottom tier.
