If you want to do poison, it is important to know there is normal poison and strong/deadly poison, with strong poison doing roughly double the poison damage, if I believe. Nothing talks about this in game for some reason, but one weapon I know that does strong poison is the SerpentBone Blade Katana.
this is true, however, the duration of the poison is about half so it is a trade off depending on the length of the fight

I don’t think it’s more damage, I’m pretty sure it’s the same as a regular poison proc, the difference being it’s doing the damage faster.

Love to see the Jev level 1 run continue! Also the axe talisman and spiked cracked tear are just to boost your charged attack regular damage. Poise damage aka stance damage is something else.
The zweihander deals "39.6 Stance damage" per 2h Charged R2. so by using R2s mainly you can deal the extra damage to boss hp and a lot of stance damage to the bosses hidden stance hp bar. Most bosses have anywhere from hidden 80-120 stance HP (margit has 80 - godfrey has 120)
Which means to break their stance and get that juicy riposte it would take around 3-4 charged r2s. you have to be quick with them because bosses slowly regenerate stance hp so the faster you are with the charged r2s the more likely you will be to break their stances! Good luck brother 🫡

You should pick up the ritual shield talisman in the Capital as soon as you're able as it will reduce damage taken by a third while at full health. Very helpful for RL1

Love the elden ring vids, perfect balance of skill and jevism (Not forcing it but a fist build requis playthrough would be elite). Keep it up man, haven't played cod or pretty much any game you play anymore but still watch every video.

If you wanna something good for your poison build get the poison moth flight ashe of war its great burst damage (it takes all the poison damage they would take overtime and deals it in a big chunk)
You could use the serpent hunter or if you want to keep the zweihander u could get chilling mist
Golden Vow ash of war on a dagger, 2 finger heirloom, radagon scarseal, axe tailsman, ritual sword tailsman, flame grant me strength, opaline bubble tear, spiked cracked tear, thank me later jev your damage will be MASSSIVE on level 1
if your going with that specific colossal sword, i recommend eventually putting bleed on it because if im right it does some crazy bleed proc. Also if you do fight melania, use freeze pots to cancel waterfowl makes the fight so much easier

You could definitely grab Royal Knights Resolve (Increases your weapon damage by 80% for your next attack and lasts 10 seconds) ash of war while you are at volcano manor for your charged attack build. Perhaps infuse it with poison after getting the corresponding whetblade that does that. For now you could find and use the Determination ash of war in Limgrave which is the same as Royal Knight's Resolve but increases your damage by 60% instead of 80% for your next attack.

Jev you could easily get Golden Vow ash of war from a knight riding a horse North East from the Warmaster's Shack and have it on a dagger to apply it quickly for more damage and bit more defence before boss fights. Great videos btw.

Put the highland axe in your off hand because it buffs roar attacks. Then you can deal more damage with charged attacks. Then also get the roar medallion and do those cool charged heavies

If you want to stack more damage, there is a golden vow as of war instead of the incantation version that you can slap onto anything like a dagger and get that buff plus damage reduction. Not as good as the incantation version, but still great
Give us some story time videos like the old videos still rewatch them to this day the BUS DRIVER is the best story imo 90% looking back 10% looking at the road

I’m not sure if you already know this, but only after I did my level 1 run did I remember about the ritual shield talisman. I bet that would help out so much with getting 1 shot in the endgame.
I’d recommend just running a standard infusion for more damage because you can’t build up an enemy’s poison meter while you have it already procced on them, so the poison ash of war coating on your weapon and the cloud is more than enough to get it to proc. Standard infusion will give you more damage for the entire fight, only downside is it will take slightly longer to proc poison, but with how much the skill already builds it up it’s hardly an issue.
Jev, if you get the Godrick's great rune you get a +5 in every stat bringing your endurance up to 20 for light rolls again with the axe tali, if you want it.

The difference between light and medium load is so minuscule and will rarely make a difference in dodging attacks

There’s one poison build in the game I feel like you would have fun with. There’s a weapon called Venomous Fang in a cave in Caelid, and it applies deadly poison (which is a poison that deals double damage per tick but lasts for 1/3 of the time, compared); the funny thing about this weapons is that, if you apply a poison affinity on it, the weapon now applies what I call “deadlier poison” which has attributes from both poisons (double damage of deadly but the longer duration of regular). It’s also just a funny weapon!

Now that you're in Liurnia, check out all the gazebos after you get the maps. You can see them on there and they all have either upgrade mats or a grace/waygate.

Assassins gambit ash of war should help a lot with getting past mobs since you’ll get one shot a lot
Btw the Zwiehannder is a real sword used by German Juggernauts during the medevil times
you can actually use way way more weapons than youd think on an SL1 run. pretty much most new weapons can be used like the great Katanas or the light greatswords, youll need very little talisman space for them, so if youre aiming for the DLC those 2 would be great. fist weapons and Dex weapons are a solid S tier aswell especially the Stars or in case of the DLC the backhand blades and claws of night. DEX has 3 talismans that boost it by 5 (heirloom and prosthesis from millicent which also boost consecutive attacks and the soreseal) so ive found it to be the most diverse and gives you so many options as you can also get decent scaled damage due to your stats. plus add the godrick rune, another 5 to every stat, and physik tear giving you 10 to x stat for a bit and it makes the SL1 run 100x more enjoyable/doable

Poison and rot can stack, so you could have a backup rot weapon or craft rot pots for ultimate DOT

morning star is crazy good, you can farm for stone club, buy spiked caestus in caelid or get the star fists which are probably s tier for lv 1
doing runs like these are the only way to make me feel a little bit like the first time I played this game
If you go kill the Iron fist Alexander, the jar stuck in the ground in Limgrave you’ll get a talisman that increases the attack power of your skills by 10%

If you optimize your flasks you can make claws have poison, rot, and bleed at level 1
Try and get the scarseal aswell, boosts +3 which could help with other weapons

Jeff, make sure you talk to Big Boggart to get Boiled Prawns and eventually the Boiled Crabs when he moves to Lyndell. That 20% damage negation from the Boiled Crab might come in clutch, it's basically the Dragoncrest Greatshield Talisman as a consumable
