Can we all take a moment and applaud the choreographer in the music video? 👏👏👏 He was absolutely gifted depicting what Skynd wanted for the music video
The man in the video has a scarf on him because of a few reasons: 1) It's because in her trials, she tended to wear cute looking scarves, to help her image to look younger and thus more innocent. 2) It's the CO2 that's suffocating him. 3) It shows how much of a hold she had on his psyche. 4) All the pressure she pushed on him to commit self-deletion. Very good symbolism by SKYND as always.
Conrad was her boyfriend that she talked into killing myself. All the lyrics, save one, are direct from the text, of their convo the last couple of days, when Conrad was going back and forth about it, anytime he started backing down, like worried about how it'll affect his family (she told him they would be happy if he did it), she kept goading and ridiculing him, telling him what to do, that day when he finally did, he actually changed his mind and got out of his car, and she shamed him into getting back in. And deleted her texts messages. Her lawyer tried to say she was trying to talk him out lf it, but once the scripts were gotten of the texts (over 1000), there is absolutely no way you can say that she was trying to save him. She ended up only getting 15 months, and then was let out after just a few months for "model behavior" and there are people that defend her too. Ugh. Conrad didn't deserve that.
Me reading the name “Michelle Carter” and thinks: “Huh? Name doesn’t sound familiar… let’s see if the lyrics will clue me in…” *presses play on video and immediately hear the cell phone key sounds* Me: “Ah yes, that soulless bitch” Interesting how the instinct is to think there is a special place in Hell for someone like that, while watching one of the only current videos which Skynd portrayed the Evil having a different role in the crime, an almost direct role… almost like Michelle and Evil know each other pretty well. *(Not counting the Elisa Lam video which had a different structure only having a victim)* I do love the video though, it was so kind and beautiful as it showed Conrad’s fight to live and to stay for the family he clearly loved 💜

Imo SKYND makes it CLEAR that she feels Michelle Carter is guilty. Almost like she's mocking her. I love the way she portrays her as an evil puppet master. Brilliant representation. I first came across SKYND watching Hollywood Undead videos. Columbine (I live in California and was a senior in high school at the time) and I thought how brazeb and disrespectful. However, I thought about how well done the video was. So I started digging into this band, watching interviews, finding SKYND'S firmer idebty and watching that banquet ritary club concert. She's a very tough, kind, highly intelligent woman. Idk if this is true it not, but I read that she reached out to some of the survivors and they approved. Jim Jones is a GENIUS piece of art! The references she makes are so brilliant! I had to go watch Leonardo DiCaprio's documentary on it. Guess what!? He's currently making a movie about Jim Jones, starting in it as him. I'm a more recent convert, but I love the shit outta these guys. Tyler Hadley is my favorite but.... that's much like choosing a favorite child. Michelle Carter talked her boyfriend Conrad Roy to get back into his vehicle when he was attempting suicide and this led to his death. She also pushed him into it to begin with. The song definitely gives you the feel of an oppressive atmosphere. Imagine if the only person you trusted to stop you, via the reveal of intent one would consider a call for help, talked you into it instead. You wouldn't be able to push it off any longer. No wonder it takes so long between tracks.
The lead singer of Skynd did a song from the band, POD called, Afraid to Die or Not Afraid to Die. Really good song because she’s on it. Not her usual makeup. She’s actually quite attractive
