Colloquially, pdf file is used to describe anyone who fancies someone under the age of 17-18 now, which seems pretty unhelpful. We're basically telling all adult males that they're perverts for finding females who have the reproductive bits that signal "fertile" attractive. As recently as the 90's into the noughts society (in the UK at least) would at least acknowledge it was "normal" or "natural", even if socially unaccceptable to verbally express it in most situations, and always unacceptable to pursue. Although the age on consent is 16 here, and under 18 y/o are considered minors under the law, so it's weirdly legal to have sex with minors as long as they're 16 or 17.
