Today marks the day that Spider-Man finally swings back home to the Marvel Cinematic Universe in SPIDER-MAN: HOMECOMING, so Awfully Good Movies is once again returning to the well of Marvel's early days of adapting their comic books for TV with 1978's SPIDER-MAN STRIKES BACK! And since Awfully Good's Jason Adams has already introduced you to the first of these flicks, Awfully Good Movies is pleased to show you its sequel, which shows our friendly neighborhood Spider-Man going up against a villain far more dastardly than any Vulture or Green Goblin: ALAN ALDA'S ELDERLY FATHER!!! But in addition to that, Spider-Man's also got to deal with a gang of his college buddies building an atomic bomb, a snooping female reporter who may find out his secret identity, and the sweet-ass karate moves of the villain's henchmen. It just goes to show you that the folks over at Columbia Pictures and Sony were trying to dick around with Spider-Man long before they had him turn emo.

@@mams1701 I think it's more like they haven't asked him to make one. Then again, they probably don't want to be reminded of this specific period. Matt Salinger has not made a cameo as far as I know either. Lou Ferrigno did in that Hulk movie with Edward Norton but his run as Hulk is such a big part of pop culture that I guess they had to make an exception.
yakuza01 - the MCU has bastardized the characters to the point they are hardly recognizable anymore.. I mean Mary-Jane Watson has been a redhead since 1965..now she's... What?? And Peter didn't know Ned Leeds until he was an adult... Now he's his best friend..? And Hawaiian or whatever? I could go on forever.. I am a black man and I find that bastardizing these characters by force feeding 'inclusiveness' by altering these characters races is a joke thus I stopped watching MCU movies when Ultron started singing a Jimmy the Cricket song while trying to destroy the Earth.. 🤮

One of the things that's itching in the back of my mind: Did they have the US version of Spider Man wear that goofy web shooter on his wrist, because they had plans to (or actually did) reuse footage from the Japanese Spider Man that was in production at the same time? Dammit, they should have had him using Leopardon, that would have blown 1970s comic book geeks' minds.
I'm pretty sure that the American show came along first (only slightly). They didn't reuse any of the footage from either show.

Loved these movies and TV series. Bixby's show was way better acting, writing and directing-wise, but this was Spidey! How could I not love it. Not the 1st live action of him (thank you Electric Company) but finally done seriously and full length. We kept our hopes up that with him having a near perfect comics accurate Spider suit, maybe it meant super villains around the corner. I mean by this point he'd had so many 1st, 2nd and 3rd tier super villains, it seemed like there'd have to be one or two of them. Nope. Not even Kingpin. Sigh. At least they could've given the actor a cameo in one of the Spidey franchises.

GameCargo Loved it! The best Spider-Man yet. It was mercifully free of any romantic angst or villain overload, and it was just as good at being a high school comedy as it was being a superhero flick. Can't wait for the sequel!

So, your claim is that you have some sort of copyright on the idea of counting kills in a movie? We created each of our lists on our own, as it's a fun topic that movie fans have discussed since movies have existed. What's next, you going to say you have a claim on Top 10 lists? Get over it. Lots of recurring and overlapping ideas on RUclips.
We are beyond fine with people making kill counts. Please please please make more. Competition feeds creativity. The problem is you are having RUclips block other kill count channel videos because you are claiming they are your content. There's really no need to try to play stupid here, you know what you did.
All we have done is protect OUR videos, as other channels have ripped many of ours and claimed them as their own (particularly our 8-Bit Trailers series). In no way are we trying to stop anyone else from making anything they want, just trying to stop people from ripping off (i.e. downloading) our videos and uploading them on their channel and calling them their own. Happy to discuss further over e-mail to dig deeper and see if there's more to this (RUclips is a fickle beast, as we all know).

That series (along with Cap America, Hulk, Daredevil and especially their Thor attempt - I forget if there were any more) was awful in terms of writing, fx, acting, costumes and anything u can think that was featured. HOWEVER, it can be excused when considering budget, technology, etc... The exception is score. Music has no price - u write good music or not. Oh - and Nic Hammond looked like he was 47 years old...
