Make a Heart shaped Potholder

- This project is from the kit we sent out in the Heart Box at the end of January. This would make a great gift or craft show offering, as you can always use left over scraps from other projects.

I always wanted to sew potholders & now have incentive to do so! So glad you made the tutorial because I had questions after reading instructions that have been answered. I think these could possibly work with a 4-leaf shamrock shape as well. Consider another template & kit for St. Patrick's Day!

I love the heart pot holder! Gonna make them for gifts for my "flower girls"! I manage a grocery store flower shop and always gift them something for working so hard this time of year. The heart box was so fun!

If you don’t mind saying, was the white material for the inside some kind of material that wouldn’t allow your hands to be burnt like is used in potholders? does that material have a specific kind of name.?
Can you explain the use of a walking foot? Can you demonstrate this?

The thermal material is called Insul Bright:)
I have older tutorials on my channel where I am using a walking foot- quilting tutorials. The white stuff will protect you from heat, it's called Insulbright and there is another called Thermolam.
? Is the pattern available without a kit? Or was it only available in the heart box?
