I had a custom MTB built by Ave back in 1993 or 94. It was a lug-less beauty! Welds were so smooth, you'd think it was putty but it was not. I remember him telling us he pioneered the use of the bike geometry board(?) in the Philippines, the one you'll see behind him (left side) in 0:26 of the video. At the time, he was really high-tech! He showed us his thick book of bike geometry which he used as reference. Pro riders send their bikes to him, and only to him, even in the middle of the Marlboro tour to have those fixed. He is the pros' pro, so to speak. It's cool that my son, now 19 and a biker himself, envies me for having a custom bike built by Ave. Proud customer here. More power, chief! :)
Talked to him last november 2019 for my cyclocross build. He is the man who knows what you want, direct to the point, explain well the pros and cons yet very humble. I was intimidated that time but I still asked him for photo together. 😂 Stay healthy Kuya Ave. - Proud Ave Maldea user here.
Pinamana ng Lolo ko sa akin ang frame and fork niya na gawa ni Sir. Maldea nung G7 ako. Until now nagagamit ko parin sa mga ride. Proud Cyclist from Zambales 🎊
naka usap ko si mang ave personally at marami akong natutunan sa kanya about bikes, biro mo nadaanan ko siya at his very busy moments pero na entertain pa rin niya ako,sa kanya ko nalaman ang pinaka maganda at pinaka matibay na wheel set, imagine mo frame lang ang ginagawa niya pero versatile din sa ibang parts, grabe im proud that im pinoy because of this man ave maldea.

Steel is the best material for bike frame, it is the toughest, comfortable, long life especially when you take care of it, and worry free, weight is no issue, no wonder why Superman is known as "The Man of Steel" not The Man of Aluminum, or the Man of Aluminum, or Man of Carbon because steel symbolizes strength. I do love to have a steel frame designed and made by this legend/bike icon Mr. Ave M. as soonest.
Hi-tensile, chromoly frames; that is exactly what I am looking for. I would like to have an unpainted one so I can get it painted the color I desire and then build it up as an electric bike. Steel is a much smoother and forgiving ride compared to aluminum which a large portion of street bikes are made of. Steel is most definitely real and the better element to have as a bike frame.
mabuhay po kayo sir,god blss..love bike, njoy ride to ol,god blss s ride 👍👏...hop magkaroon din ako ngbike nga galing s taong katulad mo sir super sown kahit subra ng malayo ng naabot mg mga nagawa mo,hanga ako s taong katulad mo...

No. You miss the point. A factory is a complete different beast than to a one man or family workshop. This workshop of his is not merely a business, a mean of income, it's a way of life. And unlike a pure business, this way of life has its own soul.

Those frames look fantastic. We need more people like this gentleman, who praise their work and art instead of market and money.
How much po frame?
Vin Commons Titanium and Aluminum tube frames are very expensive raw materials to acquire here in the Philippines.
