Thank you so much for explaining this! The circuit theory book I was reading was not explaining it in a way I could understand, so I really appreciate what you did here!
@@GauravJ i am subscribed to your channel since 2018 or 2019, i started learning about electricity back then and your channel was/is one of the best that i have found. Regarding sharing, i do not know anyone who watches youtube to learn about electricity. I can't help with this. I'm sorry. But i always click like on your videos. Best wishes and thank you very much again !
Yes it did help!!! So I came by because I watch how to measure “ghost voltage” and using the “LoZ”in the multimeter, and the guy who explained it talked about the magnetic field kind of mixed with the other wires…😅 would you make a video about this? I’m just a regular electrician but very passionate about the engineering part of it, it’s amazing how all works. Greetings from México 🇲🇽
Capacitor has negative reactance because the impediment effect of a capacitor diminishes as frequency increases where as inductor has positive reactance because the impediment effect of an inductor strengthens when frequency increases. For circuit impediments with positive reactance the voltage drop across the circuit impediment leads the current thru the circuit impediment whereas for circuit impediments with negative reactance the voltage drop across the circuit impediment lags the current thru the circuit impediment. Resistive impediments don't have reactance because they don't impede in a way that depends on frequency.
Hello sir very happy to see your videos which are very compact and conceptual, I request you to please make a detailed video on tertiary winding of trafo why we require that configuration specially despite the availability of earthing trafo ,neutral ground, please make all confusion out sir
As a matter of speaking it is, as in the sum of all oppositions to current flow. Yes Mathematically Z = |Z|= sqrt(R^2+x^2), phi. Or Z = R + jX or Z = x+jy. But this isn't really a useful way to help someone comprehend impedance. This is only useful for a calculation to get the answer when given the values to substitute. Good video :)
Finally, my doubt got cleared. Thanks a lot sir.❤
Thankyou much sir. It's really Easiest way to understand.
Best impedance video ever
Thank you from Ukraine. You helped me to understand the basics of this topic. Now I can learn more about impedance
Now u can return to listen russian bombs

Glad it was helpful!
It means lot. For a basic understanding to deal with the everyday power system discussion.
I was forgetting this but now i will not, thanks to you !
Thank you very much !
Thank you 😊 Do share and subscribe 😇

you are the best
There should be a youtube type called youtube study that would show revelant videos closer to only the topics searched
You are the best among the best sir.👍

Thanks from Bangladesh.

can you please explain why sometimes the formula for impedance subtracts Xc and Xl instead of adding them up?
THANKYOU SIR 🤝
very informative video

Thanks you Boss
I am a neet aspirants.Your practical videos help me clearing my concept.
Glad it was helpful 😊
Thank you sir 🌝
You're welcome!
thanks for all videos. can you make a video for short circuit calculation in various network elements?
Capacitive circuit is always leading one and it's angle should be positive not negative
Where's the link for capacitance and inductive reactance
Thank you
Welcome 😇 do also check out my other videos 😊
Sir explain the concept of synchronism?
Will try
Does impedance play any role in DC motors? Or is it just resistance and inductance inbalalance?
No. We only resistance in DC. Impedance only in AC
@@GauravJ thanks!
Nice
Thank You . Do share and subscribe 😇
Which simulator do you use??
Everycircuit
In Case of Capacitor I leads V by 90 degree not lag
What can i do in return to say thank you

XL=80,R=40,Z=100,Xc=?
4:54 Isn't Z=sqft(R^2+(XL-XC)^2)?
Yes
Z is NOT equal to R+XC+XL.
As a matter of speaking it is, as in the sum of all oppositions to current flow.
Yes Mathematically Z = |Z|= sqrt(R^2+x^2), phi. Or Z = R + jX or Z = x+jy.

It sounds like you are saying "impotence" rather than "impedance". If you can solve "impotence" you will be rich! 😃
Pronounced imPEEdance, not impotence.
Less informative
thanks sir
