Surron/Segway x260 build video from scratch This is the no talking fast paced version of this build.( longer detailed version on this build should be should be posted!)
Interesting to see one built up from parts. Thanks for the video. You might want to turn your master link around, you put it on backwards 🙂 That wrap really makes it!
The linkage being upside down is pretty common. Would have liked to see more of the wiring harness install (dc to dc converter...etc) process. Mainly because there are a couple of connectors I'm a little unclear about. But great vid either way.
Thank you! I do have a build version of this build that I talk and say every part before I put it on and I went over the power system in it that I could post! Or I can aslo take everything out and make a detailed version going over it +install if that helps more
In the meantime I do have a quick little short of me going over everything in the power system while it was outside of the surron for better look that should be helpful on my TikTok (22-23 videos down)!
Could have been cheaper if it wasn’t a Segwayx260 with a surron power train in it but with the trailer and stand included it’s right about 17k! Sadly still need to trow like 5k+ before she’s finished though
Thank you! I have had this bike for 2 years now and have learned from RUclips fixing anything that broke but learned a lot taking it apart and rebuilding it up for this video
@@electric_things_ heck yea that’s wassup bro, I plan on getting mines in February. I can’t wait. Im riding in the streets I just don’t want no problems with the police tho so I might get pedals like a nerd 🤓 lol
@@bigballa8220 nice their definitely worth it imo👌the pedal kit would definitely be smart if the cops care where your at! Lucky the cops haven’t messed with me so haven’t needed it yet lol
Thank you! And I actually haven’t tired the bike out yet hopefully will this weekend! they do feel like good quality but I haven’t tried them yet to have a opinion
@@electric_things_ loving the Talaria. I ride it almost daily on trails near my house. So fun. I upgraded the wheels and tires and next up is the suspension.
I bought it when it was a stock Segwayx260! But I agree a fresh scratch build is a vibe, I got my parts from warp 9,ext racing and surronshop is the only place I know you could find a frame and odd plastic piece for a complete scratch build. I was going to buy another frame but honestly better just to buy a cheap used one and sell the old parts imo
Is the hub in that warp 16” rim different from OEM hub? Because I got VMX racing 16 inch rear rim and my chain rubs the rear tire. Its hub is just like OEM. Just got non o ring chain and some spacers fir the rear sprocket and now the chain is almost cleared… need to find 1mm more from somewhere still… if nothing else I need to cut some knobs from the michelin star cross tire…
Yea it’s a wrap 9 hub that i got it all together as like a plug and play kit, wrap9 makes their surron hubs specially designed to be spaced over to have clearance for big dirt bike tires like yours or my tusk tires! Definitely would try to use spacers rather then cutting your traction making for a uneven ride might not be to noticeable but would be annoying if you could tell
Do you have any like old Surron parts because im building a Surron from the litteral ground up im wielding a frame ect but im not really at the spot right now to afford parts to buy the electronics and I was wondering if u could send me some parts? ❤❤❤
Yea I definitely agree I regret it little but with the wrap and new parts you only notice it on top swing arm! But I want all my blacks and everything to match and I still have a couple parts I need so I’m saving the color theme when I have everything!
Yea with stock power the 16inch rear wheel feels great, handles a lot better in the dirt and I didn’t feel anything to noticeable when I switched. Then this also used to be a Segway x260 but I switched the battery and controller to the new 2023 surron 34amp battery and wave controller witch was like a 1200watt upgrade+range, then I have a 20% power booster for little more acceleration and it feels great with that. Could still use 72v power!
@@electric_things_ I did a full light kit on mine... no problems after a few years. headlight is 3 X brighter , and the tail light is brighter, + turn and side ring lights. I stressed about it taking to many watts but no prob. cant remember what the total Watt consumption was...
Hey can you help me with info on the wolf tooth headset, I have a talaria and water gets in my bearings and its just not good. What do I need to do to get a headset like that
@@electric_things_ No i have not. Just keep water away from the area. and i just cant over tigthen it or its hard to move. it already doesnt move as freely as it should
@@deankruse-fx4qpI did start with a Segway x260 frame but upgraded basically everything including the bolts so it’s definitely possible to order everything including the main frame, does seem cheaper to go the used x160 rout though! Can send some good websites iv looked into pricing and what website I would need to build one with ordering the frame!
@@electric_things_I'm highly interested to see what frames and parts u saw online thinking about building me one as well. If u got a list of the parts available on websites I'd be super grateful.
So this was a complete Segwayx260 so I already had the main frame and wire harnesses but everything els I got from warp9 website along with ext racing and couple odd things from surronshop! I can help direct you in the right place if you’re looking for something pacific!
Why anyone drops this much cash on a Surron is beyond me, and I have one. Just the chincy hardware that holds the rear wheel on and the MTB size parts. These things aren't meant to be real moto's. You guys are chasing something that already exists, it's call a KTM.
Full version of this build with talking is posted!
this is so sweet, looks sick
Thanks man!

Aww that’s why it fell off lol didn’t even think about that, good to know! And thanks man appreciate it!

I may be wrong but I thing you put your chain lock key thing on backwards. Nice build.
Hey thank you! Your definitely right chain fell off super quick didn’t know that was a thing just been getting lucky putting it on right😂
ngl you should've powder coated it while it was just a frame
But he didn’t powder coat it

Nice build. Now for 72v, ps the backwards linkage in the beginning was a bit funny and was a nice edit cut.
Thank you definitely time for 72v! And haha that’s when I realized I was doing something wrong😂
That Aviator song has me on edge. But nice stuff
Thank you! Do you think it would be better without the song or just a better one?
youre really missing out not having a torp tc 500 and an upgraded battery but start with the controller first
Yea I agree definitely will end up getting on eventually! Just looked up torp tc controller and that looks nice definitely a good upgrade
nice job dude👍

How loud is this warp drive chain conversion kit?
It’s definitely louder then the belt but compared to the other brand it sounds pretty good, and 8:03 has little of what it sounds like
What is the back tire
Their tusk emx tm35 soft terrain tires and it’s a warp 9 back rim/hub to be able to run that tire
