I live in the Cleveland OH area and MALLEY's chocolate covered strawberries are my go-to for Valentines Day. They set up 4 or 5 temporary drive-throughs just for the occasion. They have been around the area since the 1930's and all of it is wonderful. .

This video only strengths my belief that Calli and Matt are really brother and sister. :) Now Calli, I must agree with Matt, going low key on V-Day is on the same plan as forgetting an anniversary. Any woman that tells a man to keep V-Day low key is just setting him up for at least a full year of never hearing the end of it. I am surprised about what you said about your V-Days in the past, if I knew the office address I would send you flowers.
I never thought about that! They could be siblings. That would explain the bond that shows between them. Although they have said enough things in other videos that I don't think so.
I world never tell my man to go low key unless I was contemplating getting out of the relationship. Men should take it as a compliment if she wants his attention and focus.

My wife & I have been together 14 years and we key it low key. Usually we do a different fish dinner (each year is different) and that's about it, maybe a movie if there's one we both wanna see. The most high key we've done is lobster tails while up in MA one year and that wasn't even that expensive.
O, one more thing, Matt, you do know that Calli was setting you up to having to sleep on the sofa for at least a month, do not fall for the trap. :) LOL
We are so low key about Valentine's Day that I actually feel guilty for buying my husband a card this year. I absolutely hated Valentine's Day in high school, when I felt like the only girl who didn't receive flowers and candy. I wonder how many of us "low key" proponents had dismal Valentine's Day experiences when we were younger.

Roblox Santa Claus Actually, if you have a good, healthy, fun-loving relationship with somebody, I think it's more than reasonable to use that pick-up line. I might just use it someday, but only after I've known them for at least a year. 😂👍🏼

Hubby has been on brain tumor journey and holiday time he ended up in hosp~2ndtumor we didnt know of(but discovered, thats a blessing-its smaller than 1st had been)..so our Valentine's day is for us, and our kids🤗,we r grateful 👼. The point is to make your significant other feel special, and a lot of time, a really nice love note and something that is special to the person whether that be a favorite candy, extra time together like a walk or a favorite activity, whatever. as long as they feel like you really do love them, all that superficial stuff is not needed.
I'm a low-key gal, my husband and I don't celebrate Valentine's day (no card, no chocolate, no flowers, nothing). Our anniversary is in March, but even then, I guess I have low expectations, all I need is a dinner out and a game of putt-putt and I'm happy.
It doesn’t have to be super huge but something nice but small (ie flowers, card, chocolates) and a nice date would definitely be more then appreciated by me 😂
My husband and I have a standing agreement not to do Valentine's Day. It's a made-up holiday. However he did surprise me one year with a coffee maker where on one side you can make a pot of coffee and on the other side you could make a shot of coffee and steam your milk to make a latte. And he brought it to work just kind of to show the people I worked with that he was all that and a bag of chips. I kind of agree he is all that and a bag of chips.

My husband does things for me everyday of the year. I don't need anything special on Valentine's day. I don't even remember the last time I washed my car. He does it all. Cars, yard, BIG bugs and dead things in the yard. He is an awesome man, husband, dad and now grandpa. I am blessed and am happy to cook him whatever he wants me to on Valentine's day.😍

Valentines day is just another commercial holiday dreamed up by Florist and Chocolate makers and bad chocolate makers at that. if you need a holiday to show your love to each other you aint in love, your love should be shown everyday.

If I had a special someone, I would want to do something special on Valentine's Day, even if it was just taking a walk together and holding hands, and then watching a movie on Netflix or something. Maybe going out for coffee during the day. I would just want to spend as much of the day with him as possible.

Gonna have to agree with Calli on this one. Valentines Day is a made up holiday to create revenue for certain companies. Shouldn't need a government recognized holiday to show your love to your spouse. That's the kind of thing you should choose to do on your own. Really V-Day is the LAST day you should celebrate that on.

It can be sweet either way...go big sometimes when you can but not everytime to keep it special. Some valentines take it back to a blanket in front of the fireplace and have a picnic in your living room with some roses when you broke.
I’m both southern AND Jewish so I gotta do it twice a year! I’m expected to do Valentines proper in February then later in the year, I gotta do something special for Tu B’Av, the Jewish day of love.
I’m not even supposed to celebrate Valentine’s Day but if I don’t, well I’m in the dog house that’s for sure.

My hubby and I do stuff for each other all year round, however Valentine's day can sometime be big, but most time small. if it's big it's cause someone wants something that they won't buy themselves (but could afford to buy, just haven't pulled the trigger so to speak). Example: 1 year we just did cards and had a nice dinner to ourselves, and then another year I had been eyeballing an office chair, but kept talking myself out of it. Hubby went and purchased the office chair for me and I loved it.
For me, all out because my birthday is less than a week before Valentine’s Day so we can just celebrate them together
I am a huge believer in thoughtfulness over extravagance. Quality over quantity. Take them to their favorite restaurant. make your own heart shaped box and fill it with candy they actually like. Make them a custom card and print it on nice cardstock. Or hide their favorite snacks all around the house and make a valentine's day scavenger hunt with a special surprise like tickets to a movie they want to see at the end

What's lower than low?? Husband and I don't do a thing on valentine's day. His birthday is the 5th, mine is the 19th. So we go out then when there is no crowds, noise and long waits. 💘💝💞
I'm OK with low key, hubby went to Costco today and walked in with flowers for me. 😍😘 That's plenty. A man who grocery shops an occasionally grabs a nice bouquet for me too. 😉💐😂

I am low key.
Hubby usually gets me a card and some chocolate (not necessarily the themed jacked up chocos), and maybe flowers.
I prefer to make one of his fave meals and spend time together away from the crazy crowd of "Keeping Up With the Jones" (that'll be a funny skit)
He's gotten me some nice gifts over the years, but he knows if all he can afford is a card and a Hershey bar then it is the thought that counts. We do little things for each other all year round and I much prefer a night out on our anniversary -- OUR special day -- than the commercial day of love.
I agree with Callie. Low-key Valentine's day. I don't really care for it or Thanksgiving at all. I don't think a person needs a dedicated day to show love or appreciation or to hangout. But hey, for each it's own.

I personally like low key better, just spending time with each other with maybe a small present (like a stuffed animal or flowers) and dinner (not necessarily going out to eat, home cooked is nice too, but maybe make something you don't cook often)

Here in Ohio, they have Sweetest Day 🙄. Never heard of this until I moved here.
Setting a limit on Valentine's day is like trapping yourself if you believe your wife doesn't automatically think that it is a minimum. We set limits on Christmas one year of $100 and she gave me a lamb skin leather jacket. Yes, she held it over my head for years, because I didn't exceed the limit.
