- In this video I stop by Rutterz Rodz while out on the ScottieDTV You Can't Cancel Cool Road Tour 2020 and checked out a 1966 Dodge Charger they had finished up just before The SEMA Show 2019. Rutterz Rodz in Bristol Tennessee is a shop that sure knows cool...This 1966 Dodge Charger is covered in a bronze color that it wears really well...Bronze is not always a color you would consider painting a Hot Rod but in 1966 these colors were popular and Mike tells Me that they originally were going to paint it black but that they had the opportunity to display the car at the 2020 SEMA Show if they would paint it Axalta's color of the year...I think it was a good decision!!...The interior is all custom but the 1966 Charger had some cool features from the factory and they left all of those.. A cool mix of modern and original... Wheels are always a personal choice and no one set will please everyone...I really dig the one off custom one they designed...They look like a hubcap from back in the day...But they are a aluminum wheel..Not a cap...A very cool touch!!...Under the hood Rutterz Rodz shoehorned the modern Hellcat power plant...Plenty of power to turn the rear tires over...This 1966 Dodge Charger from Rutterz Rodz is one cool Hot Rod for sure!!...I think You will dig it as much as I do...Check it out!!

Nailed it! The car looks like a stock 66 Charger, but with all the 21st. century mechanics. Perfect. He is correct when he said "Futuristic". They were. Great build.

Stunning car. Excellent video. There was a 1966 Charger in the junkyard I worked at in 1985 and it was our favorite car to hide in and get high because the interior was so cool. Thanks for the memories.

I had one when it was only a couple years old. Perfect condition. I've always loved the interior on these cars.

They were beautiful cars and that one is BETTER than factory and screams 1966. They were always a beautiful car and always reminded me of a AMC Marlin.

Beautiful car. Love the color. I have a gold 66 383 727 survivor in great shape that I love. It does have some good modifications under the hood but paint and interior are original.

Two dimensions does not do the Gen I Charger justice. You have to see one in person to really appreciate the various cuts, angles, convexes, textures, grill, trim and overall presence of the vehicle. Way ahead of its time and very under appreciated. With the Hellcat engine, I believe it would behoove the builder to add the U.S. car tool sub frame connectors, torque boxes, upper bulkhead to engine bay gussets, radiator support (etc.) to beef up the platform due to the 700+ hp and torque the Gen III hemi is capable of.
They use a new aftermarket chassis....

Love the first gen when jt comes to Charger. I think this style being the replacement from the current 4dr design would be amazing. On the look out for a 66/7.

This is a sweet ride, my dream car is a 66-67 charger original version and I would love to have this one with air conditioning, and the paint job is perfect, but I would like to see it in a b5 blue type blue and interior design like that is really nice job actually i probably wouldn't change anything as long as it has air conditioning

I do like the metallic blue like a deep dark blue sky in the middle of the day, but the way that color seems to look one way and the other way like a slightly different color translucent like 2 colors coming together as 1 .really great job, absolutely perfect
Eat you're heart out Mark Warman, best restomod I have every seen, its like you took my dream car from my head and built it exactly how I want it, except I wanted blue metallic flakes, b5 blue I think, after seeing this color it grew on me and I think its perfection at it's greatest. When I get ahold of enough $ I will have to get you to build me a car, only bad thing is the gas prices, but of course I will have to go to the track, but I mainly want the comfort of driven across country, but when I want power I have enough to $hit and get lol. I think its because of the modern yet original, way the car is kept, I love the interior and the outside is immaculate, just right amount of modern and original, together and the tire's and rims set it off . awesome job . #1 in my book

I did very similar design on a 1967 Charger in 2014 but with a 6.4L. Stock exterior/interior but with 17" tires

THE 1966 CORONET WAS AVAILABLE AS A FOUR DOOR WITH FIXED HEADLIGHTS. SOUNDS JUST LIKE THE 2011 "CHARGER"

Love the paint job, absolutely beautiful. But I'm disappointed that it has an automatic transmission. This much car should have a 5 or 6 speed manul.
