Hi I have a 2007 corvette c6 the reduce engine power is on the dash MAF sensor and the. Camshaft sensor has been replaced any ideas is appreciated thank you.
Make sure that the maf sensor is original oem and check the wining harness for both maf and camshaft sensor. What are you reading the scan tool when you plug it in? You should really be using a gm oe side scan tool for this they run about $100 to $200.
I plugged the maxi scan in my 2007 corvette c6 and it lights up the screen but shows no information even though the check engine light is on. Nevermind I started the car and plugged it in like you said and it works Thanks
My c6 I have to disconnect battery then reconnect then after driving it for about 6 to 8 minutes it starts throwing random warnings at me gauges quite working gas gauge goes to empty although I have 1/2 a tank .....some of the warnings are low fuel service engine soon ...tire pressure ....abs brakes ....and a few more .....new battery connections are clean car has 45 thousand miles on it ? if i got one of theses scanners would this help me to figure this out thanks for any ideas that might help (2005)
Hi Lorn, This little scanner in the video will not help you much in your situation because most likely you make have a bad module / electrical short / bad ground / instrument cluster failure. The only way to verify is to use a scan tool that has GM support for all the different modules, below is the link to the recommend scan tool. I will have a video posted on it by tomorrow evening check when you get a chance. Let me know if you have any questions. _RandomFix link to recommend scan tool, its amazing and very affordable amzn.to/2vXlEM8
Wow, that tester is expensive for a one time use for a problem someone proably can't fix. Go to the dealer for a free estimate. Wondering, what was the outcome ?
You found a dealer that will give a free estimate? Everytime I got to a dealer they always charge a diagnostic fee even if under warranty. But it's covered by warranty the fee is waived.
2005 corvette electronics dead .@@DebbieTomkoSUNSHINE go to the corvette form and do a search on the above you will see how I fixed it ,I did this without the tester because that line was down as well as most of the car cheers
Don, yes this is just a scan tool. You are correct. There are a lot of good scan tools now on the market for around $400 that include lifetime updates.
Dude I'm impressed. You've made it thorough and kept it simple. Now I purchase a scanner.
Robi, thank you and I'm glad to hear the video was helpful

The instruction manual which comes with your device says in big bold print not to start the engine. Ant thoughts?

I have an 05 Corvette, check engine light turns on, but when the scanner is plugged in, it won't connect.
The pin the on the obd2 connector. Is the obd2 reader powering up.
After you hit delete code, your scanner said "erase failure" at the top of the screen.
This obd2 reader might of had an error, if this happens just rescan.
That is not a scan tool , it is a code reader for those DIY people that think they can fix their car with out a real scan tool that cost over a $1000

@@RANDOMFIX a real scan tool can read factory side data, everything else is a code reader
