I work for Nuhn as a tank builder (welder/fitter) and it is such an awesome feeling seeing everything being built ground up in the shop and then being used by farmers everywhere
Nuhn is a great company. My pipe to my pit plugged and needed a 6' over the wall pump quick. The cut one down and rebuilt it on a Friday and I drove down 5 hours away and picked it up on Monday a few years back
I live 15 minutes away from where Nuhn industries factory is and they are incredibly nice people to work for and they design and build awesome equipment
alsoCool Vid...I live in ontario canada. I operated a concrete truck. Western Star and i poured so many shit-ponds for cows and pigs, also blue harvester silos..I was a cool job I liked the operation of your jet-mixer. all the right toys for the right job.show me more please and thank-you
We've got a crawler to and we love it. We use sand to bed with an was the same as you cleaning every pit each fall got old but not anymore this thing is the way to go and got about the same hours as yours.
Have you looked at a 12 inch Nuhn white iron pump we have one and Nuhn’s “white iron” lasts a lot longer than regular steel in sand and it can do 12000 gpm and has good agitation
It kinda surprises me that there aren't some kind of bumpers on the front and rear to protect those pump nozzles. It looks like you could easily bang into the wall and damage them.
Pretty good explanation on things, but wouldn't hauling solids out be almost as efficient as hauling liquids? Other than having a more uniform fertilizer, I don't see much advantage unless you never completely empty the pit.
why not AKW sump flow from bard travels through a vertical concrete pipe. the sand would settle and be removed keeping it from your lagoon or make thew flow go through some baffles making the sand fall into sandpit
Andrew Hourigan we've purchased a few things from them over the years and at this point, they are about the only dealer that seems to have good service. They'll have you buying a red tractor before you know it! Lol
David Waller I work for Nuhn. I’m one of the tank builders, and my boss (owners son, the one who invented this), well all of them really are pretty smart
Do you ever get sand built up in ur tanks? And if you find that remote to be hard on your fingers after a while they have a new remote with joy sticks instead of buttons
Watched the video you linked. That looked like a disaster. Who thought 1 pump would agitate a 5.5 million gal pit when sand is used for bed pack? You sure know how to tackle problems
David E it happened twice now blown hydraulic hose both times. Usually you can push it with the other pump and get it to float to the wall. I've walked the wall jumped down onto it and hooked a rope to it one time and pulled out to the ramp the other time I just fixed it and we were good. Both times lagoon was near full, didn't have to jump down to far.

Handling manure has come a long way from just a barn cleaner, spreader, and a tractor with a loader!!! Thanks for explaining your system!
And pitch fork
we still do it that way

You have so much equipment to do so many tasks. So self contained
Fascinating machine, thank you for detailed explanation 👍👍

looks serious piece of kit don t fancy job washing it!excellent video keep up the good work
Do you not have a sand separator to save on all of this mixing, wear on equipment and reuse of the sand for bedding?

Does hauling that sand on the fields affect soil types and yields any?
Amazing machine. I'd be wary parking on the ramp though after seeing some boat launch fails har-har.
At least it floats though
@@FarmingFixingFabricating Imagine a car.
I have never seen such a $hit stirrer!! Truly bad ass!

Mark Groth you can pump the liquids a lot faster than you could load solids. You do have a good point though.
That's one hell of a rig.
need more manure video man awesome your channel !!
Next video will be a spreading video
Interesting machine, I presume you mean Impeller when you say fan? this looks like a centrifugal pump of sorts.
Yes

The new ones have cat engines and gps. Would make it a lot easier to stir
I realize I'm kinda randomly asking but does anybody know a good site to stream new movies online?

Only needs run a portion of the time
Did the car stay white where it was parked?
Martha Neer lol,yup
i work in custom spreading and sand is very difficult to eliminate ! 2x 300hp in a 100x16 rond slurry pit and we can't do anything .. lol
That is quite a piece of equipment
Looks like that crawler came from java farm supply? Them guys are great to work with!
Phillip Saunders that it did

Phillip Saunders we have all red manure equipment isn't that good enough. Lol
Farming Fixing & Fabricating j
Looks like a swamp Ferrari who ever designed it must be very smart .

@@jamesconlan9732 Whats the price tag on one of these?
friendlywhiteguy I’m not quite sure to be honest, anything I find used is over 100k, but now we have a new 2018 model so I’m not sure what that’d be
Do you ever get sand built up in ur tanks? And if you find that remote to be hard on your fingers after a while they have a new remote with joy sticks instead of buttons
I weighed ours on with the trailer hooked to our service truck and total everything weighed 18k and our service truck is a f350
Built 15 minutes from me in sebringville Ontario 👍

Does the manure lagoon ever freeze? If it does, you should definitely consider using it as an ice rink
Sometimes
Farming Fixing & Fabricating I would pay to skate on manure
Hey I need about 7 gallons of liquid manure sent to me lol
How much sand do you use in the operation every year
Thats a crazy huge manure pit. How much did it cost to build? Insane amount of concrete
Just under a million
the gov. in canada has rules on how much crap u can put on your fields now
scootmex53 yes we have some of the same refs here as well.Everything is documented and applied per an application rate.
Can it run back and forth on its own or does someone need to be on the remote?
You have to more or less be in the remote
You couldn't sound more bored talking about this
Uhoh
Can you do a video on milking
Well shit that's cool
How often do you have to run that dune buggy?
We run it about everyday when we are hauling out of the lagoon
2x playback speed fixes him
Very interesting. Thanks 👍👍✌️
ever run it out of fuel when its out in the middle of the lagoon ? who hooks the tow line up ?
No we haven't
If it breaks down right in the middle what do you do? Draw straws to see who gets to go sort it lol

How many cows do you run than?
I think about 1500 maybe more
Little over 3,000 head
You sure love to talk. Lol
U chopping corn yet
That was made 15 minutes away from me
What's the purpose of all this ?
august this is a manure lagoon and the machine is used for agitation,it’s just another way to magage manure from a large dairy.
Andrew Hourigan, Thank you.
What # do I call you at when my Toilet clogs again?....LOL
Lol
