Thank you John, Even a dead tree in Scotland is so beautiful. You have captured the whole atmosphere of being out in the weather. I am at minus 20 this morning in western Canada so not going outside for now.
I love the black and white version, John. My wife likes the colourful one with the little clump of leaves in the foreground. I hope you had your wellies on though🙂
Just catching up on your videos and I loved this one of 'that' tree that I wasn't aware of. It's great to hear you go through how you compose your shots, thank you ☺
Love the thought processes that went into these gorgeous images John you put a lot of effort into these and got you're just rewards, great work. Merry Christmas and all the best for 2023.
Hi John, It's quite a while since I have been around that side of the Loch, I like a shot with the wee wave in the foreground, also the wet Leaves in the foreground.
Thank you John, great video, like the way you survey the scene from different angles. Have a great Christmas & Happy New Year to you & your Family........
Yeah, I'm afraid its one of these spots that wherever you shoot it from there's always an element in the shot that clutters it. I have to admit I'm more attracted to the roots of the trees right on the shoreline. I might pop along just to shoot them over the winter. There's a single youngish tree half way along the southern shore of Loch Venachar that I've only shot in the summer with a shallow spit of land running out to it that I'm sure will be sitting nicely 20 ft offshore about now. Its a good couple of miles walk to get to it though.
well captured, didnt know about this tree i thought you were talking about the tree along at milarochy bay may need to take a wander next time im along that way, did u pop into the oak tree for a spot of lunch on the way back
Your work is absolutely stunning! You have quite the eye for beauty...even a crusty old dead tree! Bravo! 👏❤
Thanks Trisha! :)
How lucky to find those leaves 😂, some great shots there John , tricky subject in the light and wind you had. Thanks for sharing your luck 😛
Thanks Jeff! Yeh, very lucky that day ;) I should have bought a lottery ticket on the way home!

I can't think where that tree would be on Loch Venachar but I'll keep an eye out for it next time I'm in the area
@@JohnMcKennaPhotography Looking at Google Maps I think (wouldn't swear to it) that its just to the north east of Invertrossachs Country House.
ah right. I'll keep a closer eye on the loch when i'm next over there!

Thanks Scott. It's well worth a visit and usually a lot quieter than the Milarochy Bay one.
