Electric Callboy played their own set at BABYMETAL's FOX_FEST, and then their singers Kevin and Nico joined BABYMETAL and their Kami Band on stage for this song.
There's a live video of this that is definitely worth watching.
It has Anthony Barone on the drums. : )

Yes, the drums here are very good, but the version with Barone is something else (look for OFFICIAL Live Music Video at FOX_FEST). You do notice when Barone is in the band :)

I haven't listened to a BABYMETAL on their own, but ill definitely check it out for the drummer, also just to hear it live lol
I already loved Babymetal and Electric Callboy before this song. I was so freaking hyped when I found out about this collaboration. I think it's a perfect match. I cannot stop listening to this song.
And since you liked it, you should definitely check out more songs from both bands. My suggestions:

EC: Pump it, We Got The Moves and Hypa Hypa.

People sometimes do have that reaction when experiencing EC for the first time and in combination with BabyMetal it's even more ... special. 😁
You can't go wrong with EC, most of their material since "Hypa Hypa" in 2020 (clean singer Nico joined after original lead singer Sushi left to found a new project) is uplifting electronicore like Ratatata but they do have more serious songs too (Hate/Love, MIndreader, Parasite).
Check out "Drum Solo / Kurwa Song Live in Cologne Lanxess Arena 2023", EC's drummer David Friedrich plays it over a remix of Darude's Sandstorm (the Kurwa Song title is an inside joke from their tour/ bts vlogs).
Great collaboration ... and if the only BABYMETAL you've heard is this and their features with Lil Uzi Vert and BMTH you are missing out. You already have some great suggestions for songs of their own in the comments below.
Those 2 songs are actually what got BABYMETAL on my radar, but i saw people hyping this song up so i thought id give it a listen!

Song is totally a banger so don't worry about jamming with this all day, we all do the same.
It's always nice to see more reactors getting into this amazing group, they're a global phenomenon from Japan and trust me you have seen nothing yet.
Here's a brief info about this amazing group:
BabyMetal is a Japanese metal dance unit created in 2010 under another Jpop/Jrock group called Sakura Gakuin, they had 11 and 12 years old when started this and become independent after 2013, they created their own genre called kawaii-metal (kawaii means cute) mixing Jpop with metal sound and different subgenres along with many more rhythms. Their name is a reference to a new genre and not related to their ages or "baby" faces, is a pun intended play words with "heavy-metal" which sounds similar to "baby-metal".
They are:
*SuMetal* lead vocalist, now 26.
*MoaMetal* scream and dance, now 24.
*MomoMetal* scream and dance, she's 21 and is the new official member since April 1st last year.
-YuiMetal- scream and dance, former member since 2018.
None of them are related.
After 2018 you'll see backup dancers performing along with them but none of them are official members, they don't sing, only dance, but that status change recently like i said.
There's no other group like them around and teaming up with this group from Germany just elevated them even higher.
If you like Jpop and edm elements then you're gonna find a lot of cool songs blended with heavy metal in their latest album "The Other One" released last year. Songs like Divine Attack - Shingeki, METALIZM, Time Wave and Light and Darkness among other great songs as well tracks and live performance from early era will make you bounce and rock with this insane group.
This single just reached Number 1 US Billboard rock/metal chart for the first time for both bands!
Last weekend of May they did the live premiere of this song in Japan at FOX_FEST (a festival held by BM) and everyone went wild with this collab, the live version is already out if you don't wanna stop enjoying this song. Last weekend they played this together once again at Rock Am Ring and the day before at Rock Im Park in Germany twice in the same day, one during EC show and later at BM show.
The girl in the middle is the lead singer SuMetal and she actually dance less than the other girls (MoaMetal and MomoMetal) because she sings most of the time but regardless she can dance and sing and you won't even notice she's out of breath.
About this song:
This was filmed in Germany and the concept of the MV is they're breaking boundaries with the genres and they don't care about corporation decisions, the office with the suits workers and the Japanese boss kinda represent that.
The "hips don't lie" is definitely a Shakira reference.
The "Fu Fu" (or more like "wu-uh wu-uh") part sounds like Backstreet Boys - Everybody female backing chorus but it's probably used way back before in more songs.
The "push it to the limit" line it could be an homage to Scarface's movie, another post disco, dance rock song with some guitar elements.
The moment when they're bursting the wall is another homage to Aerosmith x Run DMC - Walk This Way MV, symbolism of breaking the boundaries with the music genres like I already said.
Also one of the singers is holding up the cable with electricity during the breakdown it could be a reference to "The Cable Guy" movie.
When I heard the official audio I thought the second "Are you ready?" chorus was MomoMetal doing the backing growling but they didn't show that in the MV, although later fans spotted in the live performance, so it was her after all as well in the third chorus when singing "Everybody".
There's probably more references but I'm so far away from pop culture that i probably missing a lot more.
Fun fact: EC said in a reactor comment and later at their own reaction video that they did the bursting the walls scene in one shot, there will be a bts so we're waiting for more.
The crew had to put all those disco ball on the celling manually just for this song.
They met each other last year when BM went to see EC live in Boston and they asked them to work together, this is a 50/50 collab song.

A lot of people say the "Call" in "Callboy" the way you say the "Cal" in "California", and honestly, it confuses me. I never hear anyone pronounce "call", the separate word, that way. Again, it's just... confusing to me.
so whats the proper way to say the name, it still confuses me too
