Nice video!! As a surfskate beginner, I can do cutbacks but don't dare to swing the board on only the back wheels like that radical maneuver you done. Any tips to overcome this? or maybe a tutorial video for how to rotate on back wheels only? :D
Thank you! It all just comes down to practice, the more you ride, the more you'll get comfortable and confident with it! Try just doing a manual on your back wheels first to get used to popping up your board and riding on two wheels, then you can move onto doing a little turn while on you back wheels and get used to that. Then you can try sliding on two wheels. Main thing is persistence!
If you can do this, you're pretty close to an air reverse! all the mechanics are very similar, all you really have to incorporate is the pop off the ramp to get in the air. I'd suggest learning a straight air first just to get comfortable getting in the air then you can move onto an air reverse. But if you can perform this, airs are definitely the next step I reckon. YEW!
A backhand reverse on a surfskate, I find doesn't correlate as much to surfing, as you really need to rely on the push of the wave to to help you transition out of that reverse, which you don't get when skating concrete. But can do a tutorial on a backhand reverse, it would just be a slightly different approach to a surfing backhand reverse.
