What is a boil pimple or furuncles
A boil is a bacterial skin infection that forms in hair follicles and oil glands.
    How do boils form
Boils usually develop in regions of the body that experience friction or pressure, such as the face, armpits, groin, shoulders, and buttocks. Boils start out as painful, red bumps that develop a pus-filled head and will eventually burst, drain, and heal within 2 days to 3 weeks of forming. A boil on the eyelid is known as a stye and a cluster of boils that form a connected area of infection under the skin is known as a carbuncle and is usually associated with fevers.
    What causes boils
Staphylococcus aureus, a type of bacteria that is commonly found already on the skin. They end up infecting and inflaming the hair follicles if they see a good opportunity to do so, causing a very big yellow pimple that's deeper in the skin and quite frankly hurts a lot more. The surrounding tissue also becomes infected and the infection causes the skin tissue inside the boil to break down, creating a pus-filled hollow space or what is known as an abscess. Once the pus has escaped from the red, swollen lump after a few days - either on its own or following treatment - the boil heals within a few weeks and may leave a small scar
How to treat boils and get rid of boils
First and foremost: Never pick at or squeeze a boil. If it isn’t drained properly, it could actually infect nearby areas or push the infection deeper into the skin and cause more boils. Take these steps for boils treatment at home and how to treat a boil fast.
1.) Place a warm, wet washcloth against the boil for 10 minutes up to 4 times a day. The heat increases circulation and may help bring more white blood cells and antibodies to the area to fight the infection.
2.) Clean the area around the boil with antibacterial soap if you see pus coming out.
3.) Cover the area with a dressing or gauze until it heals.
4.) Try to bathe or shower every day and wash your hands regularly.
5.) Talk to your pharmacist to recommend a painkiller that is suitable for you
Also Keep in mind that: Antibiotics are only needed if complications are likely or have already occurred for example: if several boils have merged and developed into a carbuncle. It's at this point where Your doctor may drain it by making an incision into it followed by prescribed antibiotics to help you heal or prevent recurrent infections. Which antibiotic exactly? Its hard to tell, because Many varieties of the bacteria that cause boils have become resistant to certain types of antibiotics. So lab testing can help determine what type of antibiotic would work best in your situation.
How to prevent boils from coming back
1.) When you have a boil, washing and keeping your clothes and bedding clean can help prevent infection from spreading.
2.) Keep all surfaces that you may touch cleaned and disinfected regularly. These include door knobs, toilet seats, bath tubs, and commonly used surfaces throughout the home.
3.) Avoid going to a swimming pool or gym until the boil has gone cuz- you could pass the infection on to others.
4.) Avoid sharing items that come into contact with the skin. This includes razors, athletic equipment, and towels. In these instances, sharing is not caring.
5.) If you are more prone to boils, use a textured cloth, brush, glove, or loofah to exfoliate the skin once a week, especially high risk areas like the armpits, groin, face, and shoulders.
How long do boils last on skin
Most boils drain and heal within 2 days to 3 weeks of appearing, but if they dont, you should get medical attention.
Dont pick at, squeeze, or use a sharp object to pop the boil.

What worked for me previously was a poultice of finely grated garlic (onion also works) (let the garlic sit out ~10 min for allicin to form) mixed with a bit of black cumin seed oil & a drop of oregano oil... this time I'm adding a little bit of raw honey, neem powder and turmeric to form more of a paste so it stays put better since it's under my armpit.
This one has been around for awhile since my hygiene slipped a bit, the second I start taking regular showers, taking my liquid multivitamins, getting regular sunlight, and doing a 3-day juice fast, it starts bubbling to the surface! Just trying to help speed it along this time :) Good info here thanks Doc 🙏

try tea tree oil blended with lavender and lemongrass oil. Equal parts. I have been making a blend of these essential oils for years for friends and family. It has helped everyone. The blend I make is with 4 essential oils that I researched years ago for staph infection. Since I created it and it's so effective, I don't want to give the whole formula in case I ever decide to distribute it. Certainly trying those 3 oils will help. If you are sensitive to oils you may want to put 5 drops of each of those oils into a tablespoon of coconut oil and make a salve. Apply it to your boil and cover with gauze. It should come to a head within 24 hours (usually alot faster) Good luck.

I've had boils in my armpits that reoccur a lot and eventually ended up scaring. So, I'm going to try this and hope it helps. plus I have very thick thighs causing so much friction that leaves so many boils, and other places close maybe 1 or 2 times(hurts wayyyy too much).

I suffered with recurring abscesses from the age of 10 to 31 (I’m now 37 and have not had any boils for the last 6 years and counting). I Would end up in the ER about 4 to 6 times a year, cultures never came back positive for anything, ever, not staph, not mrsa, nothing. The frustrating part was that nothing doctors and dermatologists prescribed or tried worked to prevent them from coming back (including everything I just heard in this video sadly) I was even taking prescription antibiotics daily for a couple years which unfortunately lead to other health conditions.
I was eventually diagnosed with Hidradenitis suppurativa and could literally feel the tunnels that formed under my skin.. the condition was debilitating and negatively affected every aspect of my life. Looking back right now I’m honestly not even sure I was able to live with it for so long.
It wasn’t until I took a holistic and homeopathic approach to my health that the condition went away. I stopped taking all of my prescriptions, I started intermittent fasting, removed processed grains and carbs from my diet and started supplementing with trace minerals and moving away from synthetic vitamins, and as a result my body started to naturally heal and the condition went away for good.
If you’re here and watching videos from these types of doctors online, you’re well on your way to attaining the knowledge that you need to heal yourself from any condition that you suffer from which traditional western allopathic doctors have no answers for. Wishing you the best of luck on your journeys to healing 🙏🏾

I had a boil on my cheek area 2 years ago, it took almost 2 weeks with antibiotics to pop on it's own then I went to a doctor cut it n drain the infection...about 1 year after the same area keeps getting slightly swollen for like a day then leak the infection the next day...this has been happening once per month ever since...this morning I woke up and the boil is back again this time full blown but it's still leaking slightly...before watching this video I keep squeezing to drain the infection but now I know it's a bad idea...Thank you

I have been blending and using essential oils for over 25 years. I make a blend that has truly helped people get rid of staph and if you keep using it after it's not symptomatic it can keep it away permanently. I would also recommend taking chlorophyll tablets which help purify the blood. try tea tree oil blended with lavender and lemongrass oil. Apply it to your boil 3-4 times a day and cover with gauze. It should come to a head within 24 hours (usually alot faster) Good luck. Let me know if this helps. Another great healing tool is finding someone that you can get a ion foot cleanse from. It is miraculous for brown recluse spider bites and staph infections. I know this because my daughter was bitten 25 years ago and it's what sent me down this rabbit hole of holistic healing. She was completely healed from the bite and it was a difficult journey but I seriously believe all the different oil poultices and indian clay masks were instrumental in getting all the venom out. The ion cleanse was the one that cleared everything up in the end after only 1 session. Holistic isn't always the easiest but it is definitely the healthiest for your body.

I ended up with one on my face near my sideburn, think I got it from shaving, after taking antibiotics for 4 days it opened but nothing drained out, so with tweezers I grabbed the sack & pulled it out, it was the size of two peanuts still in the shell, or two/thirds of a finger. I spotted 3 lesser ones once I removed the big one & was also able to pull them out as well without any of them breaking open. Yup ended up with deep holes in my face. Then when looking at my face with strong reading glasses I saw a super tiny sack in every pour in the area that I took my time and removed all of them, had something like 35 to 40 of them, without the antibiotics I would have lost half of my face & maybe my eye ... or the infection could have killed me, welcome to the middle-ages.
Where they were left a scar the size of a golf ball. Before it opened the whole one side of my face became infected, swelled to the point I almost couldn't see out of my one eye. I was already taking an antibiotics for it, but once I woke with half my face swollen to the point I couldn't see well out of the eye on that side I called my doctor again this time in a panic, he switched to the same antibiotic but with surfer added to the pill, this did the trick, within days my face was clearing up, in 7 days I looked healed, but I still finished the meds, not finishing antibiotics and a few of the germs still alive are the strongest & if you do not kill them all, the next time, those meds may, or most likely not work at all, then one could end up in the hospital.
And damn they can come on fast, and just go insane damaging your skin, and maybe your health ... can't the infection travel to your heart, or lungs?

Idk if I’ve been getting boils but it will start as a small bump with puss then it turns into a big ring that’s makes the skin around it hard to the touch and after it’s healed it leaves a scar.... I’ve had 2 on my thigh 1 on my waist line and 1 on my side above the waistline. Now it seems I have another 1 or 3 coming in at waist line, under my belly button and about 2 inches or so above my belly button. I’ve gotten all this within this year so far before I’ve never had this.... the ones I’ve already had and heal all left scars and I don’t wants scars all over. I went to the doctor for 1 of them they gave me pills and the shit did nothing.

Thank you for sharing this. It can definitely be frustrating when it is recurring like this. As far as the waist line, make sure to minimize friction as much as possible in this area as this can be the cause. This includes tight fitting pants or belts. In the meantime follow up with the other preventative tips and let your doctor know. I hope this helps! Wishing you well.

A week later aka now, a boil appeared in my buttocks and damn i could barely sit or change position. Anyways my question is - is calamine effective or reccomended? i used it on my previous boil and it helped bring the core to the surface

try tea tree oil blended with lavender and lemongrass oil.

I get them about once every 5 years and they usually are in my neck under my jaw. They get pretty large and painful. But never come to a head at all. They just come and go on their own.

Could boils also be caused by excessive sweat? I have a boil that is in a spot that is prone to lots of sweat and it hurts to do anything due to it being a fold in the skin

i think i have one on the concha part of my outer ear, it hurts so bad, it’s just a red lump, not super big but super painful!! i’ve had one before it the exact same spot in the exact same ear (right ear) i don’t know if i should see a doctor or wait until it goes away on its own. my last one went away within a week, and now it’s back.

Hey Doc, I know diagnosing is impossible to do without seeing the spot, but I have a big, red boil? cyst? Right near the valley between the nose and cheek, but not right in the valley, just to the left of the nostril, but on the cheek side of the valley. Nose isn't bothered at all, but it's been a few days and it's pretty much stayed the same size, only randomly being painful when touched(obviously not touching often), but there is no whitehead and doesn't look like one will form. Does this sound like a cyst or boil? Or is it just not possible to know without viewing it?

    • @jeffreyruttibaker1081
      @jeffreyruttibaker1081 2 года назад

It's only the size of say a dime wide and a few CM high. Not like a golf ball or anything crazy. More like a super small marble, but not a perfect circle. More like a flowing mound(again, with no whitehead/peak lol)
