BEACH DIG!! BOTTLES, A RARE HUBCAP, AND MANY MORE MUCKY FINDS!
(Not many marbles in this one though... unfortunately) OUR FRENCH FRIEND FINDS SOMETHING FRENCH : ) CATHY GETS FILTHY (what else is new?) DREW FINDS COME BOTTLES TOO! HOPE YOU ENJOY THIS MUCKY, MUDLARKING / BOTTLE DIGGING ADVENTURE! (NO, WE DID NOT GET STUCK IN THE MUD AGAIN!) Hi Cynthia! I like the dish too, but my fav find this time was the REO hubcap! I love the unexpected, rare pieces of history that come out! It was a fun day.. we got a major winter storm, the next two days after!! Spring is slow coming this year.

Yes, and the REO Speed wagon was more than just a kinda wimpy 70s-80s band. Lol 😂 But this fancy hubcap would have been on a fancier model. That was my fav find of the day! -Cathy😁

Hello Cathy and Drew. I guess you did have a fun day at the beach indeed! Awesome video and finds. 🙂 That REO hub cab is like the best type to find and a rare one to. Possibly Holy Grail of Hub caps, LOL! We like the milk bottle and poison bottle you found. So many nice bottles to find there even though most are not blown in mold. Those plant pots are still a nice find and you could still use them. They are probably at least over 70 years old, right? We like the antique bricks you found and that QUIGLEY is really old. X V X could be a date of 10/05/1810? or 1910? Maybe right? I'm thinking older than 1910. Maybe even 1710, it's possible to be that old in that area you are in. Lew and I have a lot if catching up to do with our digging. We are glad to see you both were able to go out on this day. We are looking forward to watching more of your videos. Hi Jeff & Lew, Weird "spring" we're having. Glad we got out, day before the storm! We got quite a bit of snow, but it's melting now. I am very happy with the hubcap! I know it is worth some 💲💲, but I don't think I will sell it. The milk was a different variant, so that was nice. Two of the three flower pots were damaged, and we accidentally left the good one there. Oh well. I was hoping that was a nice big yellowware mixing bowl, or a jardiniere (I could not see it under the mud). I don't think the bricks are super old.. prob Victorian. I do like the old fire bricks with names on them. Hope you guys can get out digging again soon.

Keep looking... I'm sure you will eventually find one. (Cobalt poison). These kind were mostly used for iodine, which was common to have around. 💖

Hi Cathy and Drew, lovely video! The milk bottle is a great find and the Golden Wedding Whisky is beautiful! Lucky Helene finding that blue perfume, so pretty. I wondered where the band REO Speedwagon got their name lol. You really had a good day! The pipe bowl and poison are the things I always look for when I'm out and I'm always happy if I find either. Hi Amanda, We are both well, and waiting for spring 🙄❄️ We have just had a major storm here : snow and freezing rain! Just when we'd hoped we were done with all that! This day at the beach was the day before the storm started. We saw it coming. Glad we got out! I think my fav find is the REO hubcap. I love the oddball unexpected pieces of history that pop out! We found a lot of cobalt blue too! (I already have that poison, in that size.. but it's always an exciting find! I like the milk too, cuz it is different from our others. Funny our French friend finding Evening in Paris perfume! 😄 I struck out on marbles though. Hope you are still doing well🙏. I wonder if you will be getting the storms too?? I hope not!

@@massriverpickers Hi Cathy, we haven't had the storms thank goodness but it has been very rainy. Sadly I haven't been out larking because the people I usually go with are indisposed and I'm not confident enough to go alone yet but it's fine. I have been out for short walks etc and am doing fine. I like the hubcap too, will you do anything with it or display it somewhere? I hope the weather improves for you very soon 😀💖x

We got 7 inches of snow at "the old farm" (our other property). And I had been metal detecting there already! 😦 I will probably keep the hubcap, displayed, ( even though it is apparently worth $$.) I just like it! (Although I was only so-so on that band Lol😁). 7am here.. time for bed. 🥱 But that's ok, I slept 10 hrs the night before. Oh no, the turkeys are calling...

Hi Larisa! 👋😃 We always take the cobalts. I do plan to use some of the fancy glass to craft with... I just haven't had time for crafting lately. But not sure I will use ALL of it though.. I bring more home every trip! -Cathy 💖
I love all the blue bottles I imagine some kinda large tall blue bottle tree in my future. Each bottle will also be lit from inside with … perhaps purple lites. This tree will be seen for miles.
Do you ever do anything artistic with all those neato glass fragments ? Maybe super glue ‘em to something eclectic or sculpture like ??

Hi Christopher! 👋😃 I agree on the REO hubcap being the #1 find! I don't think I will sell it though. That is the kind of find that keeps me going back... The unexpected, neglected, pieces of history that need to be rescued and appreciated.
I have done some crafting with the not so rare scraps I find.. You may have seen the figure kneeling at the ✝️ I made in one of my videos.. I'm quite pleased with that one. And I have made a few other things... But I do plan to do more found object art in the future: fancy glass pieces, metal objects.. yes! I plan to do a small scale auto junk yard diarama with the toy cars/ parts too. That should be fun!
I was an artist for years... Just haven't had the time to do anything in a while.
I probably have more glass scraps than I need at this point, but I keep picking them up. Oh, yes, I have made jewelry with broken china, also. -Cathy😁

Some nice finds today! Have you ever considered an interview with Helene and showing some of her private collection in an upcoming video? I bet she's found some prime stuff.
We may do that some day.. I do have photos of some of her great finds. But what we don't want is to have this spot destroyed by people who see all those great items. Unfortunately, that happened to us, at our favorite river. A spot we worked hard to clean, and someone came and destroyed the place. But some day, later on, we may do that. (Or perhaps we will write another book!)
