Regardless who she chooses as her Shaman master or what shaman style she went with, your one job as a spouse is to support her and get her through this…instead you didn’t have her back. You accused her and your behavior changed. You’re blaming her for something she probably never did. Your poor excuse trying to get out of the marriage bc you’re unwilling to support your wife.
Rising shaman can be hard. Especially when you have a con artist master. That master definitely did something to her
How do you know who’s fake and who’s real? Who’s right and who’s wrong? How do you know if it’s good and not a lie from the devil? You don’t.
They all claim to be right but all have something that aren’t consistent with one another.
Whether it be mental health or spiritual awakening we as the ones to notice the difference should be supportive and patient to guide them back on the right track. I say this because My partner and I had something like this happen to us where she wasn't aware of what was going on things that she didn't know she was doing. it takes a lot of strength trust patience support and love to help a person like this to be balanced mentally, spiritually, physically and emotionally. Not to offend anyone but would like to share my thoughts and experience.

As a shaman we don't go learn new stuff. We only worship what is given to us from the universe, we do not go searching for others stuff that doesn't belong to us.

This husband is upset because he’s not put on a pedestal!! Instead of supporting his wife he uses cheating excuses, when he can’t even prove that she cheated. He is so wrong with such narrow mindset. You will not get far even with a new wife because you lack supportive mindset.

These kinds of stories only unveil the speaker's misogyny against women. It's becoming more and more clear by these stories that if you are a Hmong woman, don't ever dare have a physical, mental, or spiritual crises--in other words, don't be human--because the moment you do, there is a very high chance your husband/family is going to abandon you. Hmong women must be super servants to all and never have needs of their own. No one is going to have your back, as many of these stories attest. So sad. As for the guys paranoia about his wife having slept with the monk, um, only your Hmong male mind can come up with this rationale for leaving your wife. Monks take a personal vow of celibacy. Also, by the time these men join the monastery, their little bro is dead, so there are no worries about any illicit activities between your wife and a monk. Omg! Your concern only reveals your dirty mind, not the truth! Esp since your wife is an old lady, too. Geez! Get out of your tiny universe!

Your one sided analysis is flawed. Monks are not all that cleansed. Do you even know the process or how one becomes a monk? Keep in mind we are all human. My husband's Laotian friend said their head of the monk and temple Minnesota kept most of the donated money in his pocket and sent over to lao to his secret wife and build a mansion there for him and his family. Just a reminder not everything is as it look on the surface.

Sounds to me like your partner was going through a crisis be it mental or spiritual and instead of standing by her, you abandoned her with the age old Hmong man excuse of “cheating”. Her “people” didn’t ruin your marriage, you did. Your wife is lucky to be rid of you.

Becoming a shaman is not easy. You will have to find a good, trusted xifu, and your spouse will have to support you all the way. The majority of hmoob couples don't stay together because of no support.

It is ok to be Shaman due to health reasons but not ok to be obsessed with artifacts/lucky charms. Artifacts, lucky charms, and potions are scams. We need to beware of it.

I feel like this story is very one-sided full of bias. Sounds like the problem is him not her. His reason for everything is that he accused her of sleeping with the monks without real proof. He uses that as the reason for his anger, most men are not capable of supporting the wife. He just needs to straight out say he refuse to support her instead of making excuses to blame her for his short comings. Typical. But i also feel like she got involved with something bad, and oversea… thats a bit much to have a master that far away on the other side of the world. New shamans need to keep a clear mind… if you are having to depend on you master for everything somethings not right. Professional shamans understand peoples right to privacy. She don’t think things through and he too impatient.
