Carlos you are so brave and you conquered both the drilling and height on ladder. Arne, you are so patient and creative. Love the insect hotel…it’s a 5 star for sure. ❤
Carlos, you get better each time you pick up the drill. I am impressed! Soon you will be Bossy Carlos and Arne will get to show off his “carpenting” skills. Oh the shenanigans!
I love watching you two work together, especially when one of you is better at the task than the other. You remind me of two of my family members so that makes it more fun. Can we see what Erik and Anna look like? I would especially love to see the face of whoever is doing the filming when they're laughing at (with?) you. 😊
thank you for the laughter. seeing Carlos shake his head at Arne trying to figure out how to use the word screw. lol a perfectcexample of love of your partner. lol
Far from an expert power tool user, so glad you started to use that extension makes it easier to get into those tight spots. Also if you rub the screw on soap or a candle it goes in easier without pre drilling.
Carpenter Carlos and Bossy Arne, I am ready to build this insect palace. I was very successful with the Christmas star. You two are fabulous instructors. ❤
You both are so talented in everything you do. I look forward to each Sunday video - what new project you will be tackling. Thank you for your concern for the environment and its creatures.
Your wood working skills are coming right along Carlos, great job! This project is very cool, its a win-win. Using pallets, helping the environment! Great engineering Arne..
Only designers could create a symbiotic video when building an insect palace. The gray, blue of their clothing perfectly matches the palettes perfectly. I truly though this might be the one time the creation was a pile of mess - like everyone else who decides to screw a bunch of wood together - and yet, no. It is perfect. Wow! Long live the insects!
this is one of your very best podcasts. I laughed out loud watching. You two should have a comedy TV show. But in spite of the laughs and all the screwing, the bug hotel looks splendid and will hopefully survive longer than the gingerbread house did. I've tried and failed to dismantle pallets so I know how tough it is. I hope you get lots of interesting insects. Do you have grass snakes in Norway? If so, they will love it too. Thanks once more for a brilliant episode. Whatever will you get up to next. xxx
I never saw the tracks before or where they were compared to where the house and everything sits. Kinda cool. You'll have to take pics of the new neighbors that take up residence in the new hotel :)
Loved the live stream from Kate’s! And eagerly awaited the ‘shorts ’ each day.. hope you guys are safely home. You have inspired me to ‘ thrift shop’ which I did today in search of a style of sweater like the ones you guys wear… no such luck ! I do not knit ! !!! Marilyn USA
great job! What a wonderful structure to have in a garden that is so full of flowering plants. I can relate Carlos to your fear of heights. I never used to have it. I spent my childhood climbing trees. Then when I was in my 40s and building my house I was up and down ladders without a thought, then one day I found myself astride a wall plate (the inner structure of a timber wall) and I looked down, it was 8 meters up and the ground sloping away. It completely took my nerve away and I froze. I managed to focus on getting down and then starting shaking like a leaf. I never completely recovered from that and continued to be very nervous going off the ground. Thanks for sharing this with us. Very glad no-one was hurt in the process. 😀
I bought the cutest little insect house, but have not been able to attract any insects to it yet. BUT I did have a HUGE centipede visit INSIDE my own house last week. Truly a world-class centipede, UGH.
Carlos, you have definitely improved your building skills! I am proud of you for your perseverance. Also proud of Arne' for his teaching patience. Crooked insect house is looking good.
Oh my! I'm with you, Carlos, on climbing ladders. Much prefer to keep my feet on the ground. I hope those insects appreciate all the hard work! Good to see little Freja today. ❤🤗😘
I have all the wood pieces ready to make a big bug hotel (I have a tiny store bought one near my rose bush). Carlos, I have the same drill! I will be using it tomorrow when I build my new raised garden beds.
Oh my goodness!! The drilling and screwing Shenanigans were out of control here! So good! Thank you for the laughter! The Workman's Safety Board would have passed out!!!🤣
Oh, Carlos! I feel your pain! I am no good at all with power tools. I just can't hold them and push the button and get the screw to go in! But, I'm very good at handing my husband the things he needs! Love this whole idea! Your garden is such a beautiful place for all beings!

Hi hi, I am reminded of the Gingerbreadhouse project, lol. Hopefully the insect palace is going to hold up better. 😁😆But I am convinced it will have at least 3 stars rewarded, lol. Let`s see, if any other little critters will want to move in as well. Paradise in Arne and Carlos`garden. 😀🙃🥰
Whoop Whoop so super cool Arne, and you so made Carlos feel so comfortable and a part of it even though he hates heights , lol. Love the video and the Insect come bird house xox Love you guy's to bitz
Carlos your drilling skills are MASTERFUL. Truly my friend. I narrowly escaped a tornado last week by the way. It came very close to my house and damaged 100 houses in Virginia Beach. A close call.
Cool! Never have seen an insect hotel/palace ! Charming idea and commentary …Go Guys ! Fine drilling and construction! Love to see you guys with your ‘ heads together ‘ !! What a kind thing to do in making the house ! Christmas star is gorgeous as well . I saved the instructions for it. Love Marilyn D USA xx
❤ You are both so good! What a wonderful thing to do for your environment and it’s inhabitants! Bravo! ☝🏽Ladder rule: always maintain 3 points of contact (safety and steady/balance.)
It's always fun when the power tools come out! Looking forward to seeing the completed project. BTW, I wore one of your shirts to a small, local fiber festival and some folks recognized you/your channel/merch! Thanks for sharing!
Love the double entendre! It's like watching a Carry On movie!! LOL Carlos, you seem so much more confidant this time. Keep at it and you'll soon be building decks and arbours! Thank you for my Sunday morning laughs!🥰😂
I bet the bugs will love this, I hope the snakes don’t get in as well for a home, I would be terrified if I found one. My biggest fear in life. Another use for pallets I saw someone make a table and chairs with pallets they were also. Very good. Xx I think Carlos needs to do a bit more handy work so I think he could knock you one up. Haha. It’s suppressing when things look easy when others are doing things, not the case when we try ourselves. However we’ll done. At least a train will not be passing by. Are the flowers sunflowers. Fancy leaving you stranded up there haha. You looked terrified.
Great job gentlemen! You work well together and even make it look easy. Even though I'm sure one of you loses patience now and then, you never show it. Well, maybe a little. 😄
Carlos is teaching us transferable skills from knitting to carpentry.
We all need to adopt Arne’s positive motto! Through the summer, I hope to see how the insects are enjoying their new resort.
Carlos you did such a great job on the fastening the pallets together. Arne you are a good teacher. This was fun.
Arne and Carlos the two of you are so much fun and loved seeing Little Freya running to you. Thank you for the smiles and laughter
I love watching you two work together, especially when one of you is better at the task than the other. You remind me of two of my family members so that makes it more fun. Poor Carlos! Freja's looking chipper! Great insect palace, Arne! ♥🦘🦘🦘
Such a fun project. I was laughing so hard. Loved seeing Arne taking charge of the project and speaking in Norwegian. Lovely
thank you for the laughter. seeing Carlos shake his head at Arne trying to figure out how to use the word screw. lol a perfectcexample of love of your partner. lol
Yes, Carlos, you ARE getting better at drilling! I will think of you the next time I need to stagger my floats.
Absolutely LOVE this, another thing on my to-make-list when I take my pallets apart 🥰
Thanks for including your fans on your life journey!!

Carlos you are really improving with your woodworking skills!!! I love the insect 🐜 city!!! Have the best week ever!
It looks like a first class insect hotel! When there is a bird house on the top, the birds will have an all-you-can-eat buffet. 😄
Thank you!
Boys, I'm commenting before I've even finished watching this. You two are such fun and have a lovely relationship!
Thank you so much, I hope you liked it!
Your wood working skills are coming right along Carlos, great job! This project is very cool, its a win-win. Using pallets, helping the environment! Great engineering Arne..
Do you get slugs and if so how do you get rid of them.

Cool, an insect hotel and a restaurant for the birds ! 😎
Great episode! Wonderful work! I love the advance notice of "If you are watching this I am O.K."
I never saw the tracks before or where they were compared to where the house and everything sits. Kinda cool. You'll have to take pics of the new neighbors that take up residence in the new hotel :)
You never know what the two of you will be doing next. I hope your insect tenants appreciate all of your hard work! This is a fun idea!
Carlos. Your carpentry skills exceed those of the joiner who built my disintegrating house! Good effort. Jen x

Oh my goodness! If I am watching this I am laughing so hard!! Should have brought your knitting Arne. Sending joy back your way.
23:17 is my favourite part of this video 🤣🩷
Oh my goodness!! The drilling and screwing Shenanigans were out of control here! So good! Thank you for the laughter! The Workman's Safety Board would have passed out!!!🤣
We hope they never see this one!
You might want to install a birdbath bowl next to the bugs and insects structure to attract the little guys so they can drink water.😊
Oh, Carlos! I feel your pain! I am no good at all with power tools. I just can't hold them and push the button and get the screw to go in! But, I'm very good at handing my husband the things he needs! Love this whole idea! Your garden is such a beautiful place for all beings!
Well done, Carlos!! I've been drilling nails for decades and I still start out spinning backwards sometimes.
I love it that you are helping people who don’t know about insects to see their importance to having a healthy garden. Great work guys? Go team!!!
That should read - Great work guys!

Good for you Carlos that you are open to not being perfect! Here in Santa Cruz, CA, I think of you as my friends!
I love it when you break into Norwegian! Sounds so cosy!!
Carlos, YOU ARE SO GOOD!!
❤️
Good job Carlos! Practice makes perfect.
Ladder safety! Three points of contact, always. Work safely.
The biggest insect hotel in the world! I hope there are enough plants etc to feed them all...
You are both just delifgtful. Cant get enough of you!!!

Yes, that was a lot of fun though
Hi guys. Enjoying all the travel photos you are posting. Thank you!
Definitely time for a Dolly Parton cake bake!!
I appreciate Carlos' fear of heights! My palms are sweating just watching him. BTW, I love what you are making. So ingenious.
Whoop Whoop so super cool Arne, and you so made Carlos feel so comfortable and a part of it even though he hates heights , lol. Love the video and the Insect come bird house xox
Love you guy's to bitz
Thank you!!
What a wonderful idea! So beneficial! Thank you for the great idea!
I can't use a power drill either. We all have things we're good at and other things we struggle with. Such is life
Great use of pallets! But how brave you are Carlos!!! My husband would have been sweating bullets!
Finally, Arne, you get your tower! Even if you have to surrender it to the insects 😉❤️❤️❤️. Carlos, you’re a brave (& patient) man! 😂
Yay!

❤ You are both so good!
What a wonderful thing to do for your environment and it’s inhabitants! Bravo!
☝🏽Ladder rule: always maintain 3 points of contact (safety and steady/balance.)
Thank you!
You're inspiring me to get going on a mason bee house -- but mason bee houses are a lot smaller! Your insects have it really good! 🐝
"Arne has left me here, and the drill is down there."😂😂😂 Carlos, you make me laugh. Thank you!
This insect hotel is bringing back hilarious memories of the gingerbread house! 😂😂😂 That was the best ❤
It's always fun when the power tools come out! Looking forward to seeing the completed project. BTW, I wore one of your shirts to a small, local fiber festival and some folks recognized you/your channel/merch! Thanks for sharing!

Carlos, you're so good!
Arne, you are so fussy over an insect hotel!
You two make me smile
The things you do for love! You both get high fives from me.❤
This was fun to watch. There was a great shot of your land along the track, from the house to the palace. !
So much fun to watch them do the creative outdoors work!
Job well done, Carlos and Arne :-). This will be the Ritz for your bugs!!! ❤
You guys are great!❤
You are so cleverly creative … and hilarious. Just the laughs we need. 😊
Hugs Arne so loving & patient 🥰
3 words...pretty drill holes.
Nice job guys.
Stupid auto correct...PRE drill holes. 🙃
❤️
Great job gentlemen! You work well together and even make it look easy. Even though I'm sure one of you loses patience now and then, you never show it. Well, maybe a little. 😄

Take care . We just love this . Happy bugs 👍
Very roomy accommodations for your bug friends.
We hope we will get a lot of visitors!
Great video. You guys will try anything. I love that about you.
Slightly hair-raising but fun. Your insects are very pampered!
Your outdoor and garden projects are my absolute favourites!
I would love to see an update with the finished project - especially the birdhouse part!!
Yes!
There’s a birdhouse part? I must have missed a few videos. I’d wear gloves around wood and old nails, otherwise looking good 😊
You both are so Goood !!! This is a huge insect hotel !!!
Carlos, you look like a pro! Such good work!
THIS IS AWESOME!!!! Loved this!!!!!
Thank you!!
Adorable 🐰🌿
Definite improvement & growth😂
Magnifique votre " Hôtel à insecte " j 'adore !!!!!!! Félicitations
Absolutely fascinating. Thank you both very much. x
One of your better videos. Needed to laugh - thank you! ❤
Haha❤❤❤❤. You two! I laughed my head off when you were waiting for Arne when you were on the ladder. Too funny. Nice job on the bug castle
Glad to know, you didn't hurt yourself, Carlos. Arne, you are diligent.
Great video. Laughed and loved it but...won t the birds in the attic feast on the insects!!! 😂 xx
Would have been easier to drill pilot holes before putting in the screw. Very interesting structure and I am sure it will be widely used.
Thank you for the tip
Seems like over time you've made progress with different insect hotels! Hope you up-date when "residents" check in!
