Probably because it was a transposition. I took down a 1800 (I am 1300-1400) with a similar transposition from Reti. Walrus Gambit is good for that Stafford Transposition, because it might be someone trying to move order a London or something. So they don't see the Stafford at all. That's my theory!
If you could make the video, Budapest Gambit would divide the video in such a way that it would be possible to see each subject separately Maybe that would have helped . Anyway tnk u for all thats fun videos.
That's to be expected, no problem!! :) I have been playing chess for many, many years -- I certainly did not start out playing at this level haha. Just make sure that you are going over your games with the engine each time so that you can see where things go wrong and how to improve. Also, tactics/puzzles help a ton! In terms of openings, play whatever you enjoy. Hope this helps and all the best :)
