Los Angeles did have a little Italy 🇮🇹 it used to be where china town is now. And right over the bridge in Lincoln heights had a booming Italian immigrant population and can’t forget San Antonio winery and the old Italian market/deli that’s still there!

Next door to A-1 is Marabella Vineyard where San Pedro Italians go to buy our grapes and winemaking supplies. The best place right under your nose and you missed it. It it located in a section of town known as Vinegar Hill cuz every home used to make their own wine. They literally share a wall with the A1 Market.

My grandfather was from Caccamo, Sicily. His farm was not in San Pedro, but nearby in Downey. I live close to San Pedro and buy my Italian groceries at A1. So happy you made this video as I was unaware of the other restaurants you featured. I now have a place for arancini, which I have been trying to find locally since visiting Sicily years ago. @@ItalianAmerican A very small town called Norwich, NY below Utica. The Italian population was mainly from the island of Lipari. The Church of St. Bartholomew was the name of the church. As far as restaurants I don't think there is too much. I think there is one Italian restaurant owned by recent immigrants. Nearby Binghamton or Utica may have more to offer. Endicott, NY actually has a Little Italy. There is also a Little Italy Heritage Museum. Frank Capra depicted Upstate, NY Italians in the movie "What a Wonderful Life". Which is based on Seneca Falls. I think Upstate NY has a rich Italian American History, but it is spread throughout the state. I think just about every town has an Italian American heritage festival in the summer.Just a note of interest West Virginia actually has an interesting Italian American History.

Wow… This is so awesome. I love hearing and seeing things about my beautiful city that I called home for such a long time. And having so many of my relatives being a part of this wonderful video. I’m a Trani and a Mattera. Tommy Amalfitano and Mackey Ungaro used to get fish from my dad, John Mattera (his dad was Mike Mattera). I’m also related to them through marriage twice once on each side. So many stories my dad shared with me. Mary Star of the Sea … so many memories. My dad said the same thing …. The fishermen made that Church possible. Sister Catherine Rose (principle) used to carry me around all the time.
But what about Busy Bee Sandwiches??? We can’t forget about that little gem.

I was raised in San Pedro (Peeedro, not Pay-dro!) but moved to NorCal in the 90's. Buono's meatball sandwich is my absolute favorite and I have one every time I'm in town. When visiting my family in Pedro last year, I went to the fish market with my sister but it was so confusing on how to order, we left - hungry! Next time I'll ask someone for assistance because it looks amazing!

It brought back memories of my childhood on Saturday mornings when I would ride my Stingray bike over to Joseph’s bakery and buy a slice of their delicious homemade pizza. @user-er5ro7ir9t take your own advise nothing will change the fact that's its LA and it will never change or be a city. Nothing else to say. .it will never be it's own place it the city of LA and nothing can change that. It seems that you need to go back to school and learn how things work. Someone got sued over a zipcode issue it was next to burbank the location had a burbank zip code but it was not burbank it was LA the sun valley area. I know people that live there they consider it LA I had some one here talk about to. Only people that want to get in trouble would consider something fake anyone in long beach will tell you it's LA. San Pedro has been LA for 100 years. Robert is lost . I know people that will not live there to because it's the city of LA. They want no part of LA.
