Matchbox renovation Dodge Tractor in set Fruehauf Tippers nr. K-16. Diecast model toy.

The King Sajze model by Lesney Dodge tractor and trailers hit the market in 1966. It immediately became a sales hit. It was the longest model made of alloy and had the most wheel axles. To turn the subtitles in your language on or off in the movie, please press C on the computer or the three dots on the mobile phone in the movie. It was produced until 1973. In 1971, the Lesney company changed the color of the model from green to yellow, while the trailers were painted blue. The model is equipped with new Superfast wheels. My copy was badly damaged. The cargo box did not have a flap, the exhaust pipe was broken and a few tires were missing. I made new tires from molding polyurethane, while the old tires were glued on a special plastic glue, which after drying becomes transparent and does not eat into the plastic. I also made a box from the first years of this model's production, along with an insert that had special cardboard tabs that held the model in place. Świetna robota, mój drogi Pawle. Przykręcenie sworznia królewskiego i rogów pneumatycznych jest świetne, ale naprawa zderzaka jest wyjątkowa.
(Przy okazji... Znam ten problem. Dokładasz wszelkich starań, aby przygotować spoinę klejową, a i tak musisz to robić dwa razy...😜)

Excellent work my dear Paul. The screwing of the kingpin and the air horns is great, but the repair of the bumper is unique.
(By the way... I know the problem. You make every effort to prepare a glue joint and still you have to do it twice...😜)

Exzellente Arbeit mein lieber Paul. Das verschrauben des Königszapfens und der Drucklufthörner ist klasse, aber die Reparatur der Stoßstange ist einzigartig.
(Übrigens... Das Problem kenne ich. Man gibt sich alle Mühe eine Klebestelle vorzubereiten und trotzdem muss man es zweimal tun...😜)
Die Arbeit hat sich gelohnt, das Modell ist großartig geworden.

As a teenager I used the rear trailer and a model of a M40 self propelled Howitzer (probably made by Roco) to create my own interpretation of the Grey & Houseman explosives truck from the “The End Of The Road” episode from the Thunderbirds TV series. a few years ago I actually restored and improved it. It might seem a shame to a Matchbox collector but to me it’s still a treasure. 😁

I just finished the main truck, I don't have a trailer. Mine was missing exhaust and a filter box on one side so I had to reinvent those, also broken rear hitch made from a paper clip. Color used was John Deer green. Thanks for showing the disassembly, really helped along with super glue and baking powder. I never removed the wheels or axles, taped them up. Wish I could post pics here, turned out great and did a word doc using an actual model online to get the decals which are just paper. Let me know if I can send the pics anywhere to share.

This is a very rare model that has not been mass-produced by any well-known company. It is usually available on the secondary market as a collector's item at very high prices and so far I have not managed to get such a copy. Best regards.
