Matchbox renovation Refuse Truck nr K-7. Regular and superfast version. Die-cast model.

The Refuse Truck model was produced by the Lesney company from 1967 to 1973. From 1970, the box, the color of the model and the wheels were changed to become Superfast. To display the subtitles in your language in the movie, please press C on the computer or the three dots on the mobile phone in the movie. I present two copies in today's movie. One from 1967 and the other later. Both my models had broken windows. I made a copy of the PET glass panes by vacuum thermoforming. I also made the missing wheels of an older version in black-tinted polyurethane. I had the mold for these tires from the earlier models that I was already renewing. I also made the missing decals and an older version box. It had a transparent window so that you could see the model inside. Great work on both models, I had the earlier version when I was a child, I also prefer the wheels on the older model, it somehow looks more authentic. Very clever use of the wooden dowel to straighten out the casting.

Paul, as usual, a tremendous restoration. I have this truck with the original style wheels, or should I say, most of them... as far as replacements for the tires, can I substitute rubber plumbing washers? Would you be able to provide exact size, type, etc..., that I would need to get?

I think you need to check the 6x4 and 6x5 O-rings. I used 7 x 4 rims but they were a bit loose. The second dimension is the O-ring diameter.
