So wonderful to see a room with atmosphere. I know the he issue with having lots of books, but it's great that you have as many out to be seen and enjoyed as you can. I have to say I really like the suit of armor fire tools.
As a designer I notice that you are getting the gothic look right. You have created a nice sanctuary of your own. The castle theme always seems to require a hearth as it was the first feature upon which castles were created to create warmth as the foundation leading to foods, social aspects and then protection from the outside world. Maybe you can use the rectangular corner space next to the chimney wall where the television is currently situated as a display corner of interesting ancient looking items. You have nice wooden beams on the ceiling and wooden doors. You could use these organic features to design the space into a Farmhouse inspired living room with fluffy cream rugs or even an industrial building style but I think industrial will be a little bit out of your taste but I can imagine you enjoying Farmhouse style. I also like designing my space for different seasons which it fresh and interesting to look forward to something slightly different every time. I agree your cream or ivory looking walls contrast nicely with the black velvet looking sofa. You could collect these items along with the bohemian looking rug and make this kind of eclectic jumble of different cultural expressions kind of arts and craft inspiration behind it such as gypsy jewelry etc. I am the same with make belief desires that I spend my time on enjoying. There are many more never ending interesting things contained in the hidden realm that we do not encounter in this material reality. I just read about you and your book on Goodreads. I look forward to purchasing it. I don't know what Terry Gooden's did but the way people or speaking of him on forums seems like the poor man was just misunderstood by the wider conventional society.

You have a beautiful cottage home! Autumn is my favourite time of the year. I honestly could decorate with these colours 'year round'. I have an affection for the art work of Linda Ravenscroft. I have her Mystic Faerie Tarot deck, and it is so sweet. I gave one of my granddaughters the same deck. (she's my little witchling). Luna, what Harry Potter House are you in? I would guess Slytherin. Oh yes the 3 best trilogies by Robin Hobb! I'm now double the age as when I read them but it feels like yesterday crying over The Fool which I loved dearly, lol. I kinda just want to show you my covers 😂 they are so pretty, same style as that one extra book you have.
The HP series also shaped me so much.

If you like Harry Potter you should read The Earthsea stuff. I think Rowling pinched a lot of her ideas from other writers and I think the whole Potter concept was lifted from A Wizard of Earthsea!

In love with your home! You probably won’t read this but just a suggestion for the living room would be to move the gold mirror over the fireplace to the wall behind the sectional and mount your TV over the fireplace. You can find another home for the TV stand, thereby opening up that out-cove to insert floating wood shelves on, maybe you could even get a bookshelf ladder to attach. Only other suggestion I’d make is to add lots of plants both potted and hanging. Overall gorgeous home with beautiful features, great job!

I just discovered your wonderful channel last night and spent a good 3 hours bingeing your vids! Absolutely loved this tour. Your cottage is stunning. We also have a very similar huge green sofa and it just goes with everything. Where the heck do I buy Mythologie candles in the UK? I've had my eye on them for ages but only ever seen American creators using them. I didn't know we had them in the UK. Looking forward to watching more of your beautiful vids later xx

Watched the house tour and stayed for the great book recommendations! Also, I don't know what's wrong with Terry Goodkind, but the Sword of Truth series is excellent. My only complaint is that there are about a billion books, and the plotlines start to feel recycled after 7-8 books.
