Come to reality. AP’s points are realistic and much more digestible by a common man. If you understand the philosophy, it just does one thing- makes that person a better human being. Isn’t that sufficient for the life we’re living here instead of looking for the sound, gods in this cosmos?
@rayaBhamburdekar sir, I would suggest you to find the source of such a claim by USA. I will be surprised if a credible source has published such a news with proper scientific study. Now, don't get me wrong, India was the only country where both science and spiritualism prospered together and that was definitely not because of things like finding which one is first word of this universe. Science never entered spiritual world (aatmagyan, inside world) and spiritualism never got too much into the physical world. And think about such news pragmatically - what is the meaning of "FIRST WORD"? What is "FIRST" in spiritual world? Do you think an entity (aka "Satya", "Aatman", "Brahman") which is beyond time, can have anything called "FIRST"? Second, what is the meaning of "WORD"? Is it not very specific to humans? And, guess what we were not the first to exist in this planet, so we may not have formed or learnt this word "OM" first. We should go back and ask the single celled animal if he/she knew about this.
Don't be too carried out by all these people who claim such baseless things. Be pragmatic.

Don’t fall for him. He has no Sadhna , just book knowledge. To get the realization read Autobiography of a Yogi. Om is not really what he is saying. It’s a sound listened to inside that only a True Guru gives to his diciple
Don't follow anybody admire everyone
For self realization mind has to be stable ,and for that mind has to be alert and humble at the same time. "Ooo" alerts and "mmm" humbles . When it is uttered the mind becomes stable or still and then at that point realization happens .
Alertness and humbleness are ingredients of love ,as mother holds the baby with alertness and yet the same time with gentleness or humbleness.
When one sheds ego the being resonates with 'OM'. As a baby we are at 'OM' and slowly get deviated from it, as we utter the word consciously we are actually getting back to original state . Getting back to original state does not need any action just letting go , which means when we say OM we are actually undoing.
Just saw his eyes move back and forth so many times, its astounding this guy can even focus. He doesnt even meditate. A silent minds eyes dont move so quickly. Acharya Prashant is involved into too many worldly things.

If he isn't meditative, how was he able to crack the three most competitive exams in India and then speak for thousands of hours on Spiritual literature and philosophy? He really has a great clarity of thought and speech too. This requires a lot of focus and patience something people like you really lack nowadays. You aren't anyone to judge someone just because of a few glimpses. Stop embarrassing yourself.

Comment section is super-toxic here. They can't even appreciate how Acharya Prashant has summarised "Mundaka Upanishad" so well without using typical jargons even once.
This Upanishad has been said to be the most potent one out of all and all it talks of is the meaning of OM. And Acharya Prashant has explained the same.

Hello Ranveer: I know Mr. Prashant Jee has a lot more followers and appreciators and probably that's why he is here in your show. I am too an appreciator of him. However, the definition he provided about Astik and Nastik is half correct. All of us are Nastik which is true, but any who does not understand Vedanta is Nastik is not true. I will point the Gun toward Swami Vivekananda Jee and quote his thoughts from the complete works: "Anyone who has realized God, is religious and is astik" Rest everyone just talks. Even people who understand Vedanta can be nastika, including me. Understanding philosophy is not enough, understanding alone cannot take you to the infinite, because the mind is finite, and the finite is incapable of grasping the infinite. Every Karma has a bad and a good effect, where will Mr. Prashant stop finding the correct kind of work. I am a scientist, and I work with mouse models, we euthanize them in 100,000 just for a failed experiment. Is this the right work or not? From Pharma to Food, to Cosmetic, to Clothings, to Tech, to all the avenues are a mixture of good and bad. Tell me one perfect work which does not have a bad effect? Even listening to your podcast, you need silicon, radio frequency, internet, plastic. Tell me how these things are getting generated? and all of these generations have a causal effect. Some good and some bad.

For people confused between Brahma or Parabrahma ...that depends on what you follow . ADVAIT VEDANTA or Dvait Vedanta. The highly thinking and humbled Rishis who never wanted to take Aham Brahmasmi to ego gas lighting started using Parambrahma to refer to the supreme consciousness observed as supreme intelligence in every creation of this multiverse . The soul or the supreme soul both are Advait but with Advait comes acknowledgement of Parabrahma or Brahma swaroopa Vishwaroopa Mahaprabhu and thus using Dvait and to not let the ego gaslight Rishis used referring the soul as Brahm ( the experiencer sense of the consciousness ) and the Parambrahma as the reflection of God in the entire universe creation.

It may be pronounced also as AUM (Sadguru has it nailed down....) - and the meaning here is subtly different. Theosophy does mention two versions of the mantra.

Those who have even a little experience of yogic system and spirituality, they easily recognize the falsehood of Acharya Prashant ji. Supporters of Acharya ji, like him, are only going to spread bookish knowledge without spiritual experience, the day they get a little bit of spirituality. Even a little experience of Yogic system will understand what is the truth in reality?

OM is the Brahm vachak word. That means it refers or relates to Brahm. So when one utters or chant OM he or she relates to Brahm. OM is like the bridge between us and Brahm. Brahm is an eternal infinite entity. Only because of the Brahm everything exists. In other words, Brahm gives existence to each and everything. In addition, Brahm is the base of all. It's also called Akshar. That's why you will find OM before every Mantra or Shloka. Without OM all the Mantras or Chanting is incomplete. Apart from this, there is one more entity besides Brahm which is Parbrahm. Most Hindus think that Brahm and Parbrahm are the synonyms, but they are not. For the sake of better understanding, one needs to understand the verbal meaning of it. It is as follow: In Sanskrit Par means beyond, above, highest, mighty and/or supreme. Hence, the literal meaning of Parbrahm means that which is above or beyond the Brahm. Moreover, Bhagvad Gita is the most authentic text or scripture for every Hindu and most intellectuals. Therefore, read Bhagwad Gita chapter 8th AksharBrahm Yoga and 15th Purushottam Yoga.

You are saying “Highly thinking and humbled Rishis who never wanted to take Aham Brahmasmi to ego gas lighting.” Let me tell you something as long as you have “Ego” you can not reach that state which is called Brahmi sthiti. Being Brahm swarup simply means you are above and beyond all the Vikaras or the very human tendencies. So when you utter this word Brahm that means you are above all the raga- dawaish. Second thing is Parbrahm is entirely different entity. I have already explained about it. Also mentioned to read Bhagwad Gita chapter 8th and 15th. You have used the words Advaita and Dwaita. But it seems like you haven’t understood the concept of it. In which context they have been written. Please read that thoroughly. Brahm and Parbrahm are two separate eternal entities. We are the Jiva (soul) who are trapped into the viscous cycle of birth and death. Not knowing the real form or Nij Swarupam which is Brahman. That’s why our scriptures proclaim we are the Brahman or Aham Brahmasmi. Even after reaching that state Parbrahman remains. Why??? Only because Parbrahman is above or beyond or supreme than the Brahman. This is the brief explanation of Jiva, Brahm, and Parbrahm. Apart from this, I have understood all this after reading the scriptures by myself. Not by following someone or other. I firmly believe that if you follow someone then you will have an understanding according to those people or a person. Therefore, I preferred to go through all the scriptures rather than borrowing concepts or dogmas from others. This is not to defame anyone, but to let it know what happens when you don’t go through from anything by yourself. Thank you!

Even after explaining the literal meaning of it. This is what happens when you accumulate different things and make one concept. It’s very easy to say Narayan kan kan me hai. But do you know the context?? It just sounds philosophical. I don’t deny the fact that he is everywhere, but why it’s been said so?!! Whatever you are saying is way too abstract. Whoever will read it won’t understand what is Jiva, Brahman Parbrahm. That’s why I said it’s an illusion. That which can’t explain anything clearly it is merely an illusion. Doesn’t matter you talk about the Brahman or Parbrahman. After reading your concept I can tell that you haven’t read Advaita shidhant. Don’t worry let me explain it to you. Advaita means only one. Not two. Why?? Because when you become Brahm rup there is no Me or I phenomena. Hence, only one entity remains which is Parbrahman. But modern Vedanti they turned this to only Brahm. They don’t even mention about the Parbrahm. It is the fact that most Hindus don’t understand the literal meaning of Brahm and Parbrahm, but rather interpret as a synonym.That’s why I started with explaining the meaning of Parbrahm, so it will be cleared to everyone that Parbrham is different entity. I asked you to read Bhagwad Gita so all your illusions will fade away.

Isn't this nepotism ? Leaving that aside. The universal oneness all inlcuisveness with the ultimate one is advait vedanta. How did i sound different from it ? The concept of Parabrahm- Brahm/ Aatman is of Dvait Vedanta. You must read about it. Ultimately Advait is the one to accept but Dvait cannot be denied .

Still you are making out your own concepts. Come out of the illusion man. Again Advaita is not an illusion, but you haven’t understood it the way it is. That’s an illusion. Besides that, there is no such thing like the top level. There have been six Acharya who wrote the commentary. Adwaita is one of them. If you truly wanna understand anything then you gotta go through all the principles of vedant. Not only Adwita. If you are the follower of it there is no harm, but understand it thoroughly so you can put it out to anyone with clarity. Whatever you are saying is literally accumulating from here and there. There is no clarity. In other words, you are not going from A to B, but rather jumping. Take sometime and clear all the concepts for yourself.
