Thanks for the tour. I like the layout of the first better than the 2nd one. Having the kitchen in the front made the space seem more open. I also liked the interior colors on the first one. Everyone has different needs and wants, but that is why I like watching all the different models. Thanks for doing an outside walk-around too.
No problem! We really liked the first one better as well. We have 2 more videos upcoming with more of their models as well. They also have several floor plans available that they didn’t have models of today so you can look at their website if you’d like. We have all their information in the description of the video. Thanks for watching!
Ty for bringing our wonderful homes to light for the world to see. Smart, functional, trendy. We are truly providing the best bang for your buck in the park model world. The options for customization are endless and make it so simple to make your dream home your reality.
@@50pluslife360 it was great having yall in. Transparency is part of our practice. Seeing the process and progress of your home being built is a really intimate experience and makes the buying experience much more memorable.
Yes the layout is pretty nice! Stay tuned, we have five more models from this manufacturer to post in two additional videos. You might find something you like even better! Plus, we'll be putting more information about them on our community page.
I have been researching Tiny Home designs for almost 4yrs. I need to extend my appreciation for the way you film your homes that you have exhibited. You two are very charming and down to earth. Some of my favorite channels for paying attention to details. Thank you for the time you take for others to learn more information. You have a new subscriber who will share your work with fellow tiny home researchers. Blessings to you both 🙏
I love the first model. I grew up in Ocala but currently live in Miami. Plan to retire in 4 years so that would be a cool option to place on land in Ocala! I’m a new subscriber ❤ I’m very interested in tiny living
Here in Florida, the RV/Park Model category determines where it can be parked, However, after a highly damaging hurricane, these determinations can be relaxed to get people back into a home in the larger manufactured home parks. (As in SE Florida)
Good information! The Micro is a home that is HUD approved and wind zone 3 (I think) so I believe it could potentially be used as a FEMA home buy the manufacturer is not a big mass production company. They basically have 5-6 homes in various stages of build at any given time. The first 6 months of the year they build models going to sales yards / seller orders. The last 6 months is when they do most of their direct customer orders. Although they can and will do direct customer orders during the first 6 months. Their build time is 5 weeks. Thanks for the info and thanks for watching!
Another great video! Thanks for the tours. I like model 2 but if I had to choose I would go with the first one. The first one seems better if, like you mentioned, are entertaining, you have all that extra space outside. Overall the layout of the first model seems more workable.
Many people prefer the weathered style as it gives a broader color pallet so almost any color furniture & drapes will blend in well. I personally like light oak wood but that is pricier. I love this house and would only change a couple of features, such as the flooring, and also the ceiling height in the loft. That would have to be raised somewhat, maybe in the center of the room, and add a couple of skylights there to make it feel even taller. I am looking for a tiny house like this one for myself and my two sons and this one has 3 bedrooms and a good use of space overall. Perfect! 😊
I like that. The kitchen is in the very front when you first walk in instead of walking into a living room. I don't think i would pay that much though.
I too have been to the dealership and was told that these homes cannot be placed on my 10 acres in Ocala that I own. They are much too small. Individuals have purchased them to use at Farm but I have not been able to install them. They can only be installed in certain reserved areas, such as RV parks.
Yes, they make park models which technically are RV's and certified to RV / ANSI standards. Depending upon where you live, you may or may not be able to use an RV park model as.a permanent residence. It is all up to the jurisdiction in which your property or desired location is situated in. Park models have to be a maximum of 400 square feet, which qualifies it as "tiny" but because of the RV classification and / or size, there are lots of restrictions. We live in Alabama which allows full time RV living in all but a few areas of the state, where local agencies do not necessarily forbid it, but they make the regulations so difficult, no one even tries.
I love both homes but would like the color in the first house put into the second one. Do you have mini splits or how do these homes get cool in the summer. I think I missed it
Florida offers a multitude of senior living communities for park models and single wides. Most are in southern or central Florida. Communities are more difficult to find in VA, although there are a few - mostly near the mountains. NC and TN have several communities as well.
We agree. A dishwasher is an option they have in other models that we will feature in our next few videos. Many manufacturers don’t include dishwashers because a large segment of the tiny home‘movement’ is about environmental impact, conservation and so on. But I’m lazy and want a dishwasher!
Florida is a vastly different world when it comes to park models, as Florida has its own classification of park models; they are allowed to be up to 499 square feet. Generally RV park models are not intended for full time living, but this is getting more popular. FL has many, many manufactured home / trailer parks for retirees and many of these have RV parks associated with them as well. You have to be educated about the lingo so to speak. Most of these parks have "HUD" manufactured homes / trailers. These would be able to be placed on a foundation and considered real estate, although most foundations in FL are simply concrete pads. RV park models are classified as meeting the ANSI 119.5-15 standard which means they are an RV, and as such must abide by all local and state laws pertinent to RVs, including where, how and for how long they can be parked. So I would imagine it would be the exception in FL to find land or a lot to place the RV park model on a foundation and have it considered real estate. As an RV it will have to be financed, insured, etc. just like an RV. The Good News is that many manufacturers servicing FL make both HUD certified and RV ANSI certified homes. You may find a floor plan in an RV you like and they can manufacture it to HUD standard. At the end of the day, with an RV ANSI park model, whether on a foundation or not, it is still an RV at heart. We've done many videos from FL so check out some of the Dealers and Manufacturers - Chariot Eagle, Regional Homes, Tampa South RV Sales, and Winter Haven RV. Thanks for the question!
Agreed on the price but there is a difference in the quality levels between most mobile homes and these. It’s a trade off of space vs quality in a lot of cases.
You seem to loose some space when you have a loft. It seems like you can not stand up straight in the loft. Lofts are not ideal for senior citizens. It does look like a person can have several different plans if having one built. Wonder how they would hold up with the hurricanes we have in fl, even with them tied down. Thank you for the tour.
I think that is an option in some of the Chariot Eagle models. A lot depends on the floor plan and if there is room in the bathroom layout. You can check their website to see plans and options.
If you enjoy apartment living, great! Most folks looking at tiny homes want a little more space from neighbors. I guess the point is you get your own home for the same price as an apartment.
Nice models, but.....stage them with a few pieces of furniture so we can see how much room there will be around the bed. And in video 2, if the couch goes under the window, you can't see the TV. And you can't really put the couch in front of the doors. Maybe not have such big doors to enter home 2. Maybe consider rain shower head directly above since ceilings are low. And dishwasher option is a must! In model 2, the TV built in seems too large unless it were to have a fireplace option. Otherwise it is a "non-beautiful" eye catcher. Just My opinion. And plan out who will say what so there aren't so many interruptions. And wear the mic- don't carry it. And mic your wife. ;P
We went on their factory tour and the quality of workmanship looked good to us. You can select some upgrades as well. Their material choices have to do with weight as well. Their cabinet maker has about 30 years experience.
I appreciate your tours but it does get a bit distracting/frustrating with all the interruptions. No disrespect. Maybe you could do two separate walk thrus from the different perspectives.
Hate that fake looking flooring. And why would you want "Weathered Wood" inside of a house? Try Oak, Maple or any natural hardwood flooring. Weathered wood belongs outside....
That completely depends on the type of tiny house and how it is affixed to the property. If it is a non-HUD THOW, then it is similar to parking an RV on a piece of land, and thus no real property value. However, if it is a HUD approved home on a permanent foundation or a stick built onsite tiny home, or an ADU in a city, then it does and will add real property value - an owner would just have to look at their real estate assessment. Likewise, some cabins - like the ones we toured in Texas, when placed on a concrete pad or pier and beam foundation, are insured and financed just like a standard stick built home, and thus obviously have real property value.
I LOVE that first one! Nice configuration and a PORCH! That's a huge selling point for me. I'd screen it in.
LOVE the first one! I think I would screen in the porch.❤
That would be a nice touch. I think they don’t do because it would get damaged in transit.
I like the second one.
That privacy wall on the porchis niceand yes i would want it screened in with a screen door
Thanks for the tour. I like the layout of the first better than the 2nd one. Having the kitchen in the front made the space seem more open. I also liked the interior colors on the first one. Btw those barn doors do come with a screw in floor glide that comes for installation after setup to prevent that swinging.
Yeah we discovered that later in the tour. I think we included that in part 2 or 3.
Wow, I really like the set up of this tiny home!

I like the first one better the set up was nice and no stairs to climb and a washer dryer hook up. I'm to old to crawl on my knees.
Yeah we agree! We like the first one as well.
Thanks for sharing!!

These have mini splits
Thank you for showing us these tiny homes! If I were to purchase one, where is a good tiny home community to park it? Thx! John
Where do you live or want to live?
I live in Halifax, VA
I would like to move to Florida.

To each his own - that’s why so many different models.
Ocala is a nice town.
Yes it’s changed a lot since the last time we were there.
In Florida, can a park model without wheels be put on a foundation and be considered real estate on private property?
Florida is a vastly different world when it comes to park models, as Florida has its own classification of park models; they are allowed to be up to 499 square feet. Generally RV park models are not intended for full time living, but this is getting more popular. You’re welcome! They are built in Florida. They have a line of homes that meet the HUD standards. The Park model line meets ANSI standards.
❤❤❤
Where can you place these on land?
You have to check local laws and regulations. They vary so much from state to state and even locally within a region.
❤
Can you grt a bathtub?
I think that is an option in some of the Chariot Eagle models. A lot depends on the floor plan and if there is room in the bathroom layout. You can check their website to see plans and options.
Bigger than my home, nicer too😂
Nice. But you can get 1 bedroom apartment in Ocala for $109,0000

I'd rather have my own place, even if it's tiny.
2nd was fine not really my taste, Thanks you two!
You’re welcome! We’ll have a couple more videos up of the same manufacturer in the next couple days with other floor plans.
Can't wait
how much does this cost?
The current prices and sales of both units is shown in the video.
Nice models, but.....stage them with a few pieces of furniture so we can see how much room there will be around the bed. And in video 2, if the couch goes under the window, you can't see the TV. Is that bed a full size? To small
The bed was a queen. Either home has enough room to accommodate a king but the king would pretty much fill up the rooms.
I have a single bed..😂 My place is real small
Thanks for sharing both of the models are very nice !! @@50pluslife360.
Can't hear the wife that well. If she must have to comment, she should wear a mic also.
Yes we realized that. We’re working on our mic situation and trying to improve. Thanks for the feedback!
Great video, thank you. These models look cheaply made. Cabinets aren't real wood and the louver door for w+d in kitchen sticks out like a sore thumb.
