Me as well. It has a lot of character. I would suggest she downsize her bed, maybe a sponsorship could help replace it. I love to spread out but a queen size would give her a little more walking/breathing space.

She learned from 1 decluttering, which took me 4. When you're finished decluttering, get everything out of your house right away! It frees up your energy. She did a great job of letting go of a lot, & I'd love to see more!
I was sooooo impressed when she said she would get the stuff into her car and drive off immediately to the donation place. That is where so many times I fall, my car is stuffed with donation bags all the time, used as a storage unit. Granted we can only donate on Thursday mornings and it’s in the town centre, on a busy one way street with no parking, which means I take 2 bags on the bus every Thursday and then have to wait for a return bus, so it’s not that easy here. The whole process takes hours each Thursday. At this rate it will take me 10 years to get rid of the stuff😂

I liked Gabby (standing on a mountain of stuff to give a reading was adorable!). It feels like all her furniture is too big for the space. I kept thinking, "downsize the bed, hang the tv, hang the mirror, downsize or eliminate the couch, use wall hooks by the door, etc." i had to keep reminding myself we are in decluttering mode first. In short, yes, please go back again!
Same thoughts but only about the bed - Gabby get a queen and lose the king, being able to walk around the bed to put the sheets on is such a great time saver. Great vibe on the episode as usual 🎉
Agree. Also, lose that dingy brown curtain & get white wooden blinds. All your ideas I thought of too: & it would make it look twice the size. 😊

Would love to see another episode. She should buy some vacuum bags and store inside her luggage it will give her more space to store the things she wants to keep and not get dirty with dust. I can't wait for the next one. She did a great job decluttering. Thanks for sharing

Hang the peignoir on the wall across from the bed (hanging in the window in direct sun will damage the vintage fabric) and add a small shelf next to the closet to display the Lucys in their boxes and some of the small trinket boxes - this frees up dresser top space to showcase the sentimental boxes. Great job Carla and Gabby!
Yes! I was thinking the same thing about a shelf for the Lucys, and think the peignoir would look beautiful on the wall above her bed.
This! I feel like that would be the coolest wall decor piece! And definitely letting some of those items be on display.

Was so excited to see a new Carla video this morning, but I made myself run my errands and take a load of stuff to the donation center before I could watch it, as well as make a big pot of soup so my vegetables wouldn't go bad. You are my reward for doing things I didn't feel like doing! I'd love to see more videos with Gabby ❤

Carla what a great gift you’ve given to Gabby by helping her with her adorable little apartment. Sometimes you just need someone to help guide you when decluttering. It’s so true that the more you declutter the easier it is. I could easily let about 80% of my things go just to feel the weight lifted. I’m sure Gabby is so grateful for your help. I hope you can do another video with her and finish off her space.🥰

I think she should get rid off the cube bookcase from the closet and have the baskets on the bottom of the closet. That way she has more space for longer garments and she can double stack sets and similar items with the little hanger hooks.
She could also get something to cover the closet so it wont look cluttered(like a curtain or maybe something more sturdy)
A roman shade would be cool.
I saw a tension rod above the closet. A curtain could go there

She did good letting go of so much! I can’t wait for the next episode. If she wants a bit more room, she could swap out the king for a full bed and put it on an angle. And in her office space add a 3 drawer plastic cabinet under the table. Then she can file papers and supplies in it. BTW - those hangers are great. I have the same ones.

Such a cute space. I vote for her displaying the vintage gown like work of art on the ceiling. Won’t get in the way, not in the bright sun and it’s like secret artwork that you have to know to look up to find 💕

Oh this was such a fun declutter to watch! Her style is really nice and the apartment itself is really charming. And you are so great at both being practical and helping people navigate the emotional aspects of decluttering, Carla. Imo I would have kept the bed cover in her situation even if it took a while to get on, having to refind and rebuy something like that if you need it could be annoying. I also appreciate slim hangers but I wouldn't hang jackets on them in case of breaking, and use sturdier wood/plastic hangers for them.
The Jackie O' Judge coat did seem big on her so it didn't provide the right fit and gave off "judge" instead. I think decluttering makes sense for her.
With the barbies you can buy stands (if they don't come with them), maybe you could put them on the TV stand, dresser, or put up a shelf? You can also find acrylic display boxes for dolls online too.
oh one thing you can double the slim hangers and it makes them a bit sturdier for heavier things like sweaters!

@@TheCarlaProject cut up pool noodles and cover both sides of the top of a skinny hanger with the noodles taped on with a little ele ctrical tape for hanging sweaters.

Acts of service has to be the other individuals love language not your own but still that shouldn't be too difficult.
Good for her, it looks like the apartment has some potential to be cleaner and look more spacious with the right furniture pieces for a room that size. Some of her stuff is bulky, CUTE! But bulky for her current living space. With some more decluttering I can totally see her spirit shining bright and freer than it already does. Good job!

This is such a cute apartment, and you’re uncovering so many cool treasures as you help her declutter! Fun to see you becoming friends too. It occurred to me that her candy factory Lucy doll might look really neat on display somewhere in her kitchen / dining area, especially if she frames that 1950s ice cream ad and hangs it on the wall nearby. The colors would pop and they’re from the same era!

When your're indecisive and depressed it can really procrastinate progress to organizing and decluttering. Having someone assist you without being critical to let go of things that doesn't serve you and /or imbalances energy in your space helps tremendously. Great job Carla✨

I loved this declutter and hope you and Gabby will do more! Her apartment is so cute, and I know it will look so good with less clutter. And I'm totally with you both on clearing the energy and it will help you manifest what you really want and need instead of all the clutter. I recently finally sold a dresser that I loved but didn't fit our new home, and after looking for weeks for a replacement for it, within 24 hours of posting the dresser on Marketplace and selling it, the perfect new cabinet showed up and became mine for less than half of what I sold the dresser for. This kind of thing happens to me all the time, and I'm a huge believer in decluttering for that and all the other good reasons. You have a gift for helping people declutter with patience and compassion, Carla, and I love watching you work with others.
I also live in a small space and struggle with decluttering. This is the year to get my space in order.
