To me the kids suddenly not trusting platoon leader and wanting out is valid. They just witnessed something that will traumatize them for life and well they're simply scared. I mean they're JUST KIDS. They didn't imagine all this, but they definitely become a overall better team and create a bond with platoon leader in the future so don't give them a hard time, try to understand them :)
Guys I don't know why you don't get it. In this kdrama everyone is a main character. There is no one, where you should say "she/he would have died anyway.
The first time I watched this drama I also thought who the main character was So it's only natural that they think like that, let them watch with their own reactions.. that's what makes a drama exciting because we will be kept guessing:)
Inhye isn't the first one from the class to die. Woo Taek died first. The scene where you said that was his homie. That was Woo Taek. He was the one who was strangled by the neck earlier
Two students died WuTeak the guy who died in the tent is there classmate then InHye that means three people died from this class of you include Ms Park
