“Though I have only been working on this album for about a year or two, I feel like it’s been in the making for five or six. Listening over the final versions of everything, I can’t help but feel like this is the culmination of every single hour of work I have put into developing my artistry and my craft throughout my adult life. I feel, for the first time, like I am truly expressing myself in an unadulterated way; like, though it’s a cheesy term, I have finally “arrived.” This album is what the Crywolf project always was underneath the surface, and finally it’s been unearthed.
So here it is, my debut album. It’s crazy that years of work can be contained inside of a 50 minute batch of audio, but I guess that’s the nature of art and creative endeavors in general. I hope this album takes you to new worlds. Listen late at night, when you are in your room feeling melancholy. Listen when you are on a long drive. I hope it stirs something deep inside of you and inspires you.”

you start kind of empty feeling then it slowly launches you violently yet gently into a deep, raw, thought provoking, this-is-my-destiny kind of attitude. then it finishes you off with a whole, completed feeling. like a lock that finally found it's missing key. its like starting off as an empty cup, then getting filled up. then you realize its actually the space around you thats getting filled up and you are about to drown, until the water collapses down into your glass walls leaving you feeling full.

1. What genre would you consider this song?
2. Can someone list songs that are really similar to this one in feel and stuff?
I don't know what genre this is but for songs, I'd say Act Three: looming and Wake- E bow are pretty similar
Crywolf labels his own music as "Indie Electronic", however that's a rather broad spectrum of music and often times if you search for that term, you'll be sorely dissapointed to find the music doesn't really match that level of emotion, skill, and stature of Crywolf's. You're better off finding other artists who are similar, artists like EDEN, Stephen, Singularity, Lauv, or just continue digging into Crywolf's discography.
However, as for the genre, this is a newer wave of music that has *yet* to be labeled. It has been called Indie Electronic, Post-EDM, or often referred to as "Hey have you heard of Crywolf or EDEN?" lol
Exo's Cane Koda is an amazing artist who's similar :)
1. The genre of music this is in, is what I call "Indie Electronic"
2. Another great artist that makes this sort of music is EDEN // TheEdenProject (they're the same person; TEP was discontinued).
I actually found out about Crywolf through him because they made a song together called "Stomach It" (In the album 'Dysphoria')

Jesus christ coming back again to listen to this after sometime, what an absolutely monumental track. Captures the spirit of a full-on apocalypse, interspersed with moments of beautiful intimacy. Especially loving that final climax with the 3/4 time signature and clear drums. Fucking magnificent work!
