I was watching your Yamaha Stage Custom demo, when I clicked this. Make's me realize how awesome that Yamaha SC kit is ! 🤣
These sound exactly like the Masters MCT series now discontinued. Very nice sounding maple drums.
These shells sound a little more like birch to me. Pointed and articulate, but a little cold sounding...at least when compared to other maple drums.
Yes, their sound has a lot of focus.
It was the same with the BLX back in the 80/90s. But on stage with a PA the Pearl drums always have a very good cutting and articulation.

Interesting. That finish is not sold on that series here in America. It’s only on the SSS.
They look more like a maple version of the export for twice the price. Boo pearl, you ruined a good thing. UT heads at that, garbage.Great vid by the way.
