the lack of sufficient ammo hurts BOTH the launchers. A whopping 81 damage leaving tanks enough time to run away and repair makes these weapons pretty useless. And they have aps that blocks half or a third of your total ammo
They really should give more details in terms if stats. Like the reload speed of each gun. The armor protection of the tanks mav etc. Good video. I was asking myself that question

The M5 also has the huge zoom on it's scope which can be great for hitting targets on larger distances. Not to mention that it's very easy to calculate how high you need to aim since you can just ping the enemy and calculate accordingly.
It’s worth noting that the RPG has a reload bug which allows you to reload a rocket much faster than you can when going through the whole reload. When the rocket is loaded, you already have your one shot. You actually don’t have to wait for the soldier to put the RPG back on their shoulder for you to fire it again. It may be unintentional, but it’s excellent for putting damage down range quicker than the Recoilless.
Seems like the rpg works a lot better in teams of two or more where you're coordinating an attack on a tank. That pretty much mitigates the issue of not having enough rockets and you can pretty much instagib a tank with it

I am also someone who fights aircraft with the launcher, and the three M5 shots can bring down a hind and condor, RPG can’t do that. Like you mentioned the rangefinder is also a huge deal for those far range shots. The RPG just feels so obsoleted and I feel like it can’t compete with the recoilless especially with the 2 shots. The high damage is really the only reason to grab this and I think another additional shot for each launcher would be a great thing and would allow the RPG some more utility over the M5. Nice video ghost ☺️
I tried the RPG and went straight back to the M5. Having only two shots is very limiting, even if you have someone giving you ammo you have to wait for the cool down to get your next shot so the M5 generally has more damage potential. The range finder is super effective and you can make camping tanks/AA at long range retreat. The other reason is having extra ammo to shoot at helicopters.

The rpg can lock onto marked vehicles
unrelated but the fact that the sph only does 8 damage is crazy to me. They fr need to buff rocket launchers
What about against infantry? Does it have more splash damage? Also against air is it the same situation with damage values?
I didn't test it against a transport helicopter but it definitely 1-shots the rest as expected. I've hit infantry a few times but considering you only get 2 shots I don't really recommend wasting it on that. Seemed similar to the M5 in terms of splash.
@@GhostGamingg thank you 🤙
m5 can also lock onto a soflam
is there a delay when you want to fire the rpg, look like it on your gameplay
Yeah there's a slight sway until the ADSing animation is done, it's to make up for the same zoom in animation on the M5 I think.
Can the RPG lock on to a target that is marked?
Yes
I didn't have anybody to test this with but I'm going to go out on a limb and say yes, otherwise it would just be an even worse choice over the M5.
I don't play the engineer class because it takes 30 seconds to get 1 rocket from the ammo box. It's just stupid, I should be standing still for 2 minutes to replenish all of my rockets. That's gamebreaking for me.
*At what distance does RPG start to drop??*
i hope they add scope of 2042 to bf 3 weapons. And maybe add bf 4 will be big update
Idc which is better. The mere existence of the RPG as an option allows me to roleplay and faction lock my loadouts.
why do you only start with 2 rockets with rpg? fires quick but aiming isnt as easy with the sights. plus i hit people with rpg and they dont die?!
Rpg splashes so much you'll hit something see the sparks but get no damage
¿El RPG funciona con el SOFLAM?
Yes
How about splash damage
ty
The lack of rounds doesnt make sense at all. They hyped up the amount of vehicles and such but then make the only two options for shoulder fired infantry rockets almost useless. In bf4 you could kill at least two tanks with one spawn and now you can’t even kill one… its so frustrating and stupid
You forgot to mention that the M5 can lock onto a laser designated target (soflam)
RPG can too
Hello. can you test RPG on Helekopt. Sometimes hits but little damage to helicopter
How to obtain rpg ? I cant see it anywhere
Waaait a moment, ghost gaming, did I play against you yesterday evening in a nightbrid vs nightbird on hourglass map??
did you test damage vs infantry?
Need a direct hit, it’s blast damage is negligible
Theres like 2 seconds of lag whenever i hit something with this launcher and having one less shot makes this thing pointless to run.
in conclusion: The rpg is more fun
Thanku!
I feel like when I play bf2042 the the rpg needs at least one extra round to compair it you the recoiless feels like the smaw where it does less damage but has a faster traverse speed more ammo but less damage form bf4 but the rpg should get 3 rounds to make it more effective at taking out armor because I feel that right now rpg is not able to handle ground vehicles unless there already damaged by someone other than you 2 shot is not enough I'm my opinion plus in bf4 that was the draw backs smaw had more ammo traveled faster but did less damage than the rpg vs ground vehicles
I cannot collect anymore boins. I got to 5100 and they just stopped. Anyone else have this problem? Is there a limit?
Splash damage on infantry??
Too small. It must be a direct hit to kill.
I’m console controller player and the game assist has been so screwed up with so many patches that it’s a wonder that anyone with controllers are hitting anything with it. Dice needs to stop all the nerfing the weapons and systems before all we are shooting each other at point blank range and not killing each other. The LATV 25mm flack gun is a great addition to the infantry because this prevents being farmed from preying helicopters. Most of the times I can’t even get my Wildcat to spawn. Keep the game realistic and stop this nerfing.
M5 launcher has a scope glint
Lack of ammunition. Prigozhin simulator.
"...if there's a support player nearby"
Ah yes, the biggest draw back to playing engineer. You never have ammo for your launchers when you're the main form of AT. That's why so many play Lis. Infinite missiles.
2 frame reload difference IS important
