for whatever reason, this has become a comfort-watch for me. if i'm feeling really overwhelmed or restless, i just take a little drive through the snow and desert with grey. i think something about the faceless filming is somehow more immersive? all of the outdoor grey videos really hit the "i need to feel safe and like the world is fun and interesting again in a chill, no cliches type way" spot.

The highway section from 46:26 to the Arizona sign walloped me with nostalgia and some wonderful memories from my first and only time in the USA. (Over a decade ago now).

That's called clickbaiting. I honestly feel disappointed, because It seemed like the "bad decisions" would have led to him getting stranded, at least 20 miles off target. But nothing happened, he just bemoaned night driving. Yeah, we know, it sucks, it's dangerous. You do it not because you like it but because the pros outweigh the cons.

Not gonna lie, with the announcement of a 3 month extension of level 5 lockdown restrictions here in Ireland (meaning can't leave a 5km radius), continuing on from what is already 11 months of pandemic and lockdowns, with no end in sight (at least not til Sept, likely longer), this was a much needed 50m57s escape. There is just something to that, your driving in the mountains and red mesas during the day and afternoon it’s just beautiful to see. Then in the evening to the night you might arrived in a Major city like Phoenix, LA, and Las Vegas etc the skylines and cityscapes at night is just so breathtaking. I like coming back here every once in a while because i remember watching this when it came out and wishing to go there and now due to my work i pass on that road every so often :D
This is amazing. There's nothing particularly exciting about this concept, but I was drawn in to watch the entire thing. There's something calming and entertaining about someone who finds such joy and creates such excitement in simple things. I would watch as many of these videos at Grey puts out.
I especially appreciate the contrast of the vehicle vs the route. The car makes me think of his stop in Vegas, with the lights and billboards everywhere, filled with the newest technology. Yet he travels the road with the fewest charging stops, mostly filled with empty stretches of land, almost no sign of civilization other than the road itself. And the few places he does stop seem like classic simple American rest stops. Most people would never expect to see a car like that come through.

@@rox1317 I don't understand your emphasis lol. Caffeine pills are insanely cheap compared to coffee. You can get like 30000 mg of caffeine for $7 where as that could be up to hundreds of dollars for the equivalent in coffee. There's no reason to think of it weirdly, just a different way to get caffeine.

As a Tesla owner, this video feels like a condensed version of what every owner probably goes through in their first month or two of testing and Grey knocks it out in like three days.
