This song is so peaceful and gorgeous and Matt, Ameer, and Dom's verses all go perfectly with the tone that Joba creates. I love this track so much. It's so peaceful then in the video they're destroying a house.

This is art and passion. The freedom of ideas and expression of the soul in different perspectives. I'm so extremely proud of everyone in Brockhampton, they've came such a long way and I'm so happy to have met them and experience their growth. Brockhampton is a catalyst to something bigger than ourselves. Just seeing them evolve into something better is amazing. They are doing what the fuck they want. Live by that. Write something, be spontaneous, go live, because you only have one chance to.
the lady that walks out of the house when the guy is speaking spanish is such a cool detail, it really made the atmosphere for that situation, like it wasn't just the dude. it helped with a family vibe or something, that goes on. fuck it's hard to describe. but yeah, super organic video ! brockhampton's projects are always fyeeee fire emoji fire emoji hundred emoji.
Rachel Kim that's a good point. I think the really interesting thing about this video is the stuff they have going on in the background, like the woman walking behind Roberto. they're all singing/rapping about their emotions and being vulnerable with the listener/viewer while in the back everyone else is being destructive, of their own house no less. plus the shots of them lying on a half naked pile of each other is also pretty badass
This song always reminds me of a road trip I went on with a friend. He introduced me to this band by playing their albums while we were on the road. This song was the one that stood out from all of the songs he played. I remember playing it after we came back from the trip and feeling sad cause I knew once we stopped being friends this song would be ‘his song’ in my brain. I don’t know where he is, how he is doing, who he’s playing these songs to now but I miss him today so sadly here I am.
i had a dream about this music video last night. i remember every part, every verse, every instrument that being played. it's weird. first time listening to this song and it already click. love is real
i love that just because they are men they don't act any less human. most famous/up and coming men in the music industry put up the strangest front, making them seem very "macho" and disconnected. i feel like i could have an actual conversation with brockhampton and thats fucking cool
Alex Luckoo only talents in OF were the internet, trash talk, tyler, earl, and frank. The rest had career flops and didn't go anywhere. A couple years ago I watched Hodgy open for Xavier Wulf and he got booed off stage. It was pathetic
hodgy has a specific type of rap sentiment/ flow, being boo'd off is fucking mean. just not everyone's style. he has good songs though !! listen to p2 by mellowhype too.
yo it's kinda harsh to say 'career flops.' sometimes they just out their living their life, their career was a cool thing cuz their projects will always be out. doesn't mean it was a 'flop' for like mike g or whoever you're referring to from OF that aren't the members you mentioned.
Joba's vocals on this are gorgeous, but for me Dom's verse hits the hardest. "I can see the future and the past in your eyes. I know the future has been passing you by" Every line in his verse is so beautifully put. "I got a dream and if you believe then I could take you somewhere that is pristine". So hopeful, so applicable to so many different scenarios in life. Thank you Dom for your words they are helpful and inspiring dog.
btw love dom's voice in this, his voice/ his first verse really set the mood of starry skies and velvet stars or something idk it's hard to describe. kinda feels like the first moments of dreaming when you're outside looking up at the night sky in a vacant place. woooo. then matt's voice comes in & sets the even darker tone of the night. kinda the loneliness & deepset longing feeling, and slightly roughed up. ameer comes in and it's roughed up, hardened, & calloused. almost in a way where he speaks of life & love just matter-of-factly with deep underlying emotion, not so 'on-his-sleeve' though. if that makes sense. joba goes on again, in with feeling, stabilizing the song. just felt like analyzing out of the blue. i wish i made this song it's quite good >:o lol.
Rachel Kim wow totally agree but my favorite was Matt. his voice fit perfectly with song from his verse to the way he was rapping. not saying the others didn't fit but matt match the tone a little more.
going off your comment a little and how at the beginning a girl walks out and roberto says “we’re destroying our house” maybe the song could be about the process of a breakup. Dom’s verse being the dreamy, fantasy, “honeymooner” phase of love and then matt’s is that relationship tearing itself apart and conflict starting and that could be represented by them physically destroying the house then it ends with amir’s verse where he talks about the loneliness and distance that comes after the relationship and all the while joba keeps saying “tell me what you’re waiting for” which could apply itself in all three of the stages. idk this is just an idea but i cant stop thinking about it after i saw your comment lol.
I stumbled on these guys yesterday and haven't stopped listening. It's like something I've been waiting for and didn't know I was waiting for. These guys are gonna take over.
I'm white girl 37yo mom, who grew up around old school rap, pre '00 raves and shit in the Cleveland and Pittsburgh area. This shit is genius on the song AND cinematic front. ALL OF YOU ARE KILLING IT. Your drive as seen on Vice, you're dedication and love for all arts is incredibly relevant for today's culture. I can't explain how what you are rapping now, relates to my and my siblings lives back then. You are a superior talented inspiration for fucking generations before and after you. You're creating a legacy, that is very much supported, even by the older generation. Keep on being being punk rock, rap, techno, rock and and other amazing influences that you all already have. Don't let ANY record company sway you for $ or bullshit. Make what you want forever and continue to create you brand, which is ultimately creating you OWN FUCKING GENRE of music!! That shit is EPIC! Much love. Xoxo
" What's your motive with me baby? Cause I don't trust nobody lately I twist and turn, moving just like a serpent New times are coming just like a virgin Get you all outta my head Cause lately I'm better off dead I say this all out of respect Sometimes I want nothing with you Wearing your love like medallions Cause I know thousand men want ya, wants the menages Fucking, riding shotgun, slap your buns Melting, fading, under stars and the sun 85, 90, gon' bust out the gun Know they sent me from the neck of the woods Change my name, state so they never could " ..... 👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿
No one commenting on how Robert said we are going to destroy our house and then some girl walks out and Robert looks depressed? I feel like there's a little deeper meaning there.
I can't not listen or watch this video without welling up with tears. There is so much emotion in both aspects of this song. I'm so happy to have found brockhampton.
Its always a treat when joba sings
vada vada literally every time

'Cause I don't trust nobody lately
I twist and turn, moving just like a serpent
New times are coming just like a virgin

Cause lately I'm better off dead
I say this all out of respect
Sometimes I want nothing with you

then matt's voice comes in & sets the even darker tone of the night. kinda the loneliness & deepset longing feeling, and slightly roughed up. ameer comes in and it's roughed up, hardened, & calloused. almost in a way where he speaks of life & love just matter-of-factly with deep underlying emotion, not so 'on-his-sleeve' though. if that makes sense.
joba goes on again, in with feeling, stabilizing the song.
just felt like analyzing out of the blue. i wish i made this song it's quite good >:o lol.
Rachel Kim wow totally agree but my favorite was Matt. his voice fit perfectly with song from his verse to the way he was rapping. not saying the others didn't fit but matt match the tone a little more.
matt has a unique 'defeated' tone to his voice but it's like aloof at the same time. like 'i don't give a fuck.'
Rachel Kim this made this song so much better
going off your comment a little and how at the beginning a girl walks out and roberto says “we’re destroying our house” maybe the song could be about the process of a breakup.
The fact that such a budget song video can be this good is saying something about these guys collective talent
MATT KILLED THAT SHIT
Sariah Zurita YES!!
I'm in my feelings as I'm listening to this song, and that hasn't changed no matter how much I've listened to FACE
I am so happy I found this, on repeat all day
3:23 THIS SHOT WOW AND THE VIDEO REMINDS ME OF CHARLIE CHAPLIN. BH SEASON
holy shit, i just noticed everyone disappears when ameer says "i still feel alone"
x
Dom's verse is one of my favorite Brockhampton verses ever... such a smooth flow
This song remind me of someone and it only reminds me of a pain that I am nostalgic for.
5500 much strength from here
The range all of brockhampton displayed so often is just beautiful man, going from Face to Heat to Boogie to No Halo to Junky is crazy
I think I just discovered my new favourite band
YAKUZA more like favorite human beings
Gingerscantbepirates no ur’e gay

I love how effortless it all feels; how much they do with seemingly so little
I stumbled on these guys yesterday and haven't stopped listening. It's like something I've been waiting for and didn't know I was waiting for. These guys are gonna take over.
I keep listening to this song these days.
I also just spent many hours of my quarantine to make a guitar loop pedal cover of this song.
Thoyer it’s actually pretty sick bro
Much love. Xoxo
crying to this rn thank u and goodnight love yall
this was the song they played at the hollywood show pretty sure. amazing.
It totally was! That performance was tight
Stodium yeah it is
Stodium after they did it i was lookin everywhere for it
Does anyone have any videos or anything from that performance?
THE SMACK SHOW (ROPE209) yea
i really think this is my favorite music video of all time. i always come back to it. i miss you guys, but very grateful for the art
Ameer’s verse still sounds amazing no hold
" What's your motive with me baby?
Cause I don't trust nobody lately
I twist and turn, moving just like a serpent
New times are coming just like a virgin
Get you all outta my head
Cause lately I'm better off dead
I say this all out of respect
Sometimes I want nothing with you
Wearing your love like medallions
Cause I know thousand men want ya, wants the menages
Fucking, riding shotgun, slap your buns
Melting, fading, under stars and the sun
85, 90, gon' bust out the gun
Know they sent me from the neck of the woods
Change my name, state so they never could " ..... 👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿
BackwoodWulf one of the best verses I’ve heard in a long time
Proof that Matt is the best BH member
No one commenting on how Robert said we are going to destroy our house and then some girl walks out and Robert looks depressed? I feel like there's a little deeper meaning there.
Big Boss ruining a house could have to do with a divorce or like cheating on someone ruins the house
Big Boss he’s a “home wrecker” that’d be a dope allusion
WHATS ROBERTOS STORY
Get Out
well thought tbh, didn´t noticed that
Joba killing it with that voice 💯

I can't not listen or watch this video without welling up with tears. There is so much emotion in both aspects of this song. I'm so happy to have found brockhampton.
