They always fire up the starboard engine first, then the port engine. For one flight, they should fire up port first, then starboard. Then, for the next flight, starboard and then port, so that the engines wear evenly.
Jacky Claiborne In the UK, flybe only taxi their Dash 8 Q400s on the right engine. For departure the left engine is started during taxi and for arrival it is shutdown once it is off the runway.
I believe they shut down the starboard enngine first though. Also, sometimes the first engine needs to be started first as it opens access to certain systems.
Between the two which one can cover long distances in short time atr aeroplane or bombardier q 400 aeroplane? And between the two which one can tolerate turbulent weather in the sky?
@@345ToxicNoxx345 Agreed, the older models like the -300, -200 and -100 sound better. Shame they made the planes quieter. I hate how there are sound Nazis who think planes are too loud.
That sound is incredible. If I ever have the money, I’d definitely buy one of these amazing birds. Nothing beats the Dash!
Love the sound when the turbine start to spin
Mmmmm I can almost smell that Jet-A exhaust as it turns at the end lol. 🥰
Thanks for starting filming aviation again. :-). Great video as always.
Nice aircraft, and the airline too:)
Just bought her for my FSX. Amazing system deepth!
how deep is learning curve? Do they have a simple version like quality wings 757?
Thank you :-)

I want Air New Zealand to get the Q400.

The art has longer range but the dash 8 has twice as much horsepower
Favorite airplane next in line would be the 787 and the q400 has a nice sounding hum when full rpm is engaged
+michael touse the 1-300s are wayyy better in sound
@@345ToxicNoxx345 yep they're more edgier sad they discontinued them.
