it is a completely different way to enjoy karting, definitely an alternative. Some people run up front and race, others just have fun running in the back, others only restore karts for show ... Events tend to be every 6 weeks around the country, mostly at historic tracks or top end facilities like NCMP. Lots of socializing, with many former / current big names in karting in attendance.
@MiniBikeOutlaws, not exactly sure, most likely MC101A/A or MC101Bs ... most guys like to dress up their 101's with the chromed shrouds even if they are models that did not come with them.
I am trying to put together a Flexo with the Turbine wheels... sure would like info as to those rear wheels! I am looking for 6" keyed rears for the live axle. Anybody??
What's the cost for that seat and frame combo? I know y'all are into era correctness and all but I got some mean little Gx160s in the works. I'm not into junk and just lost my father 2 months ago. He ran a 59Mga and a 58 Buyers special type in VSCCA and VIR, won Mont Treblant, raced a Lotus at Daytona and quite a few in Limerock. I miss him a lot and I want to build a cart in his memory. I know this is an old post but any feedback would not go to waste. I tought myself the engine part because I like to think we are still working on them together. Everytime I tear one down and start it back up for the first time I think of him and wish I was half the Hero he was to me. Here's one of them....ruclips.net/video/NhFFKL1laAc/видео.html

WOW that looks like fun. Beatiful machine! Now I know why you guys pay me such big money for the old Mac saws!
Bet she will get up and go!😊
Next - maybe a 3rd small engine running a supercharger for the other two..
