Thank you for putting that video out. I just went to Farm and Fleet bought some more Barbwire and the exact same fence stretcher. Your help is appreciated.
The ATV is a neat trick. FYI, Goldenrod makes another model called the Extra Hand. It lets you make multiple pulls in loose, long runs without having to take your puller completely off the wire. Saves time. Thanks for your ATV trick.
Love people that do their own work,,a little tip,,alway wrap the wire around the post trice..it then will NOT come lose and you will always have enough extra wire In case you break one and need MORE to Splice later.
Good morning, That looked a whole lot easier then how I had to do it growing up. Wish we had a 4 wheeler and wagon not to mention the wire puller/stretcher thing.
Question: How tight should barbed wire be pulled from one post to another? If its too tight would be easier for a person to climb over or should there be some sort of slackness to it?
@Silent Knight I work at an airport and we always have issues with our auditors from the UK telling us the bared wires at the top of the fence isn't pulled tight enough.
Good idea using you little wagon, it would make it a lot quieter and easier on the wagon if you cut round discs out of plywood for both sides of the wire.
I have about 1 mile X 4 or 5 strands to run, and however many posts that’d be to plant into basalt. This is my summer goal Edited to say thank you as this is my first barb wire lesson and I’ll be a pro by the end of my fencing if I learn enough here on YT
Hey wj... there are lots of us hot girls running the whole show by ourselves, not because we HAVE to but rather we WANT to because it's the only way the job will get done and done right!!!

Good morning,
That looked a whole lot easier then how I had to do it growing up.

Morning! Yeah, people were such hard workers back in the day. What amazes me are the barns they used to build!
I often wondered how that wAs done. Interesting stuff for a lifelong city guy like myself.

Right on Ty for posting fixxen run now
You really need horizontal and diagonal braces on the corners if you want it tight and stay tight.
Yeah, I put those up after, we were in such a hurry because the cows I purchased needed more pasture... ASAP
I like tight

Rogues in India just put 3 to 4 tough jute bags over the wires and then press with heavy logs to dialodge them 🤒
I can't believe a hot girl like you have to do farming all alone.
