I love the way these Lou Lou’s look! The puffer gives me casual vibesssssssss! I love it in a pop of color! I’m definitely going to get the original small Lou Lou this year BUT, I’ll grab this puffer next year (after my first Chanel lol).
I love my LouLou’s! I haven’t gotten my first Chanel yet and not sure if I ever will. 🤷🏽♀️ This week I’ve been using the regular small one a lot!

I may go to Saks this weekend to see if I love the black with black hardware. I've been searching for months for the perfect black handbag and am exhausted by the process. Thanks for this. I ordered the Puffer by mistake thinking I was ordering the Loulou. After viewing your comparison, I think the Puffer is a better fit for me. I hope it ages well and won’t look dated in a few years because I don’t replace bags on a frequent basis. Thanks again!

Thanks for this video super helpful ! Does this bag look less shiny in person? I just got mine and it looks more matte. And it has some wear to it like wrinkles on the sides of the bag. I don’t know if that’s the look of the bag. What are your thoughts?
Mine has the same amount of shine as shown in the video. Sometimes leather can vary bag to bag. I don’t recall any wrinkles when I received mine. If you are unhappy with it, ask for an exchange. The new one they send you could be “perfect”. 🙂

Cristina de Almeida i Love ysl so much - years ago the grained leather college with ruthenium hardware (small square size same size as Pochette metis )was my dream over the boy bag at a third of the price 😅 I honestly prefer it to this day looks wise! I adore my medium size Loulou too so chic .. and I’d not mind a small Loulou and the Puffer at all 😂😂

Such a thorough video! I am currently obsessed with getting a "puffy" bag, and I am debating between the YSL Puffer and the Chanel Flap 19. Because of the crazy price difference (I do also own a classic Chanel flap, so I'm more leaning towards trying another brand). This video helped so much. I am typically the type of person who enjoys the contrast between the hardware and the leather, but the YSL black on black bag has my eye.

Hey Ayesha ! Another question for you, are you getting wear out of the classic Lou Lou as well as the puffer? I want to get the classic Lou Lou next but my friends are saying they’re way too similar. I beg to differ! I bought the puffer with the silver hardware and I want the classic with silver hardware as well. What do you think? Thanks!
They are pretty similar, so I’m not sure that I would get both with the same hardware. If you do get both, the classic Loulou would probably be better for nights out while the puffer would be better for everyday.

I have both too. And you are absolutely right! I tend to use my puffer more often than the regular small loulou. This bag is very versatile and lightweight. My only concern is... wonder if the bag will get stain by watermarks, in case it rains or any water droplets get in contact with the bag??
I haven’t had any water spots. I haven’t been caught in a downpour wearing this bag, but it has been hit with sprinkles.
Simply Ayesha does the sprinkles spoil the bag?
This is why I want a large college bag for work. I think the grained, pebbled leather will be more durable and withstand the rainy British weather.

Thanks! I’m not sure of the actual weight, but it isn’t heavy at all. It’s relatively lightweight for an all leather bag with chain straps.
Excellent review. I agree about Chanel. I think some buyers consider this one as an option to the Chanel 19. I love this bag and will probably buy it if I run across a pre-loved. I like YSL but I sold the loulou because I did not like the divider in the middle and I sold the college because the chain was too heavy. tfs!

They seem to be the same weight empty. You can put more in the Puffer so I’d you fill it completely, it would be heavier.

I just got my first luxury bag ever and was the LouLou Puffer black on black in medium size and I love it!! Now I'm hunted by the cream on cream but not sure if I should get it in medium or small considering cream is not a color you will use on daily basis. What should I do! Also, is it valid to have 2 identical bags? I just love this model so so so much! Please send comments! :)
I absolutely think its okay to have the same bag in 2 colors if you love it that much! I personally think the medium is pretty big so more suited for everyday. I think the small size (or even the mini) would work well if you are looking for an occasion bag.

I would if I didn’t already have bags to fit that bill. For nights out, I would probably switch the strap to a chain.

I think it will work year round depending on your wardrobe. I don’t wear much black in the summer so I’m not sure that I will use it a ton during the summer.

Hi Ayesha, may I ask y you picked the small instead of the medium? How tall are you may I ask?
I picked the small because I knew I wanted something just a little bigger than the small regular Loulou. I had a medium Loulou and found it too big, so I thought that I would find the medium puffer too large as well.
