FAQ: (Questions that are asked to me OFTEN, will answer here)
Q: Why is a small portion of the video completely muted?
A: Copyright reasons. Sometimes I get hit with copyright claims AFTER the video has already been posted, my only choice is to refute the claim but if RUclips denies it, I have to either take down the video or mute the small portion they are claiming. If the video has been up for a while, it is much easier for me to mute this small portion in the YT studio and then unmute it months later after people aren't watching the video as much.
Q: Why is the movie not as loud as I want it to be, why can't you show more of it uncut?
A: Copyright reasons. Notice a pattern here? Most of your questions will likely be answered with some type of copyright related reason.
Q: Why is the movie footage flipped?
A: Again, copyright reasons. I am watching the movie the normal way, it is only flipped for the video.

To me, Kate Winslet’s acting talent is next level. Her ability to disappear into a character and make it genuine and compelling amazes me! This is one of my favorite movies. I love how the dissolving memories were portrayed. Also, I love how Clementine’s hair color was used both as a portrayal of the timeline, and as the stages of their relationship (Revolution Green, Red Menace, Agent Orange, Blue Ruin)

Her monologue in the book store is one of my favourites. I always find myself attracted to women like her. I’m very much a Joel. Both of them were robbed of Oscar nominations.

This definitely fits the description of a weird film, but weird in a good way. It won the Oscar for Original Screenplay and Kate got her fourth acting nomination for this. A very unique experience.

Great reaction man! This is not just one of my favorite romance movies, but one of my top 10 favorite movies. And Kate Winslet has some incredible films like The Reader (for which she won an Oscar), Revolutionary Road, Heavenly Creatures, and Little Children, and two great HBO limited series, Mildred Pierce and Mare of Easttown. Just a few of my favorites from her that you should consider checking out!

I really enjoy watching reactions to this particular perfect movie. But I was really impressed at how quickly you figured out what was going on and the chronological order in which it takes place. Nobody else does, and some people don't even figure it out after it's order. Good reaction!

Oh, also I wanted to mention that Charlie Kaufman wrote this (along with "Inside John Malkovich" and a film that is related to this one: "Adaptation").

The fact that that girl slept with the married man again after her memory had been erased proves that we need our bad experineces as well as our good experiences lest we repeat our mistakes and never grow.

YES exactly- even painful memories that SEEM to have no value at the time DO (or will) actually have value.
When memory erasure came up in the movie upon my own first-time watch, I knew right away how I would decide- I would NOT erase ANY memories.
In fact, when I started thinking about the memories I DO have right now, both good and bad (and many that are good/bad MIXTURES)...
...to think of ME losing any of them, or just any person intentionally giving up memories like the characters in the movie...
...that got me tearing up like crazy at many points during the movie... the first time I saw it on my own, and even sometimes during reactions.
Upon my first watch of the movie on my own, I kept saying to the characters "Don't do it, don't do it..."
I've discovered that it's actually really rare for any movie to make me cry (even with many "classic tearjerkers"). And I've actually been seeking out tearjerkers on purpose, ever since I firsthand discovered that feel-good brain endorphins can get released with crying (it was "Inside Out", relatively recently, that converted me, lol).
But especially AFTER I finished watching THIS one on my own just a few days ago, when I let the wheels in my head start turning, it triggered one of the hardest cries of my life, comparable only to my reaction to "The Land Before Time" (which was a long 7 months ago!)

I think the whole thing about the 'uncomfortable' baby scene is that she's his comfort; childhood is so goddamn lonely and confusing. Clementine being there makes his memories of his lonely confused childhood feel like he has a partner through it. It makes it comfortable. It's an important set of scenes to set up why Joel is the way he is; his insecurities and his memories of when he is most vulnerable. And he wants to share them with Clementine. He wishes she was there his entire life. They aren't supposed to be creepy or weird, they are supposed to be 'I've met my partner and I wish she was with me the entire journey'.

    Thanks for doing this one!
I went into this movie (saw it on my own just a few days ago) with some hopes it'd be a tearjerker for me (despite really enjoying tearjerkers, it's actually VERY rare for a movie to make my cry)... and early in the movie when I caught myself saying "Awww they are SOOO CUTE TOGETHER!" ... I was like, "Ok this movie may very well destroy me" lol.
    And.. it DID.
It's so rare for a movie to make my cry... the last time I cried that hard was a long 7 months ago (for "The Land Before Time").
It was actually the [intentional] loss of memories that got me the most... there is just something about potentially losing the memories themselves (including any good ones!) in addition to the person (or pet, etc)... that just destroys me. During the movie I kept saying to the characters "Don't do it, don't do it..."
I re-watched and commented on your "Interstellar" reaction a short while ago (THAT'S HOW I found your channel in the first place FYI!)
Like you said for yourself in your "Interstellar" reaction, I also don't cry a lot, but THIS one got me (but not you, at least not nearly as much).
If you are interested, the two below-listed movies "got" another particular reactor, who has ONLY cried to THESE two (out of over 800 videos!)
    - The Curious Case of Benjamin Button
    - Schindler's List
