NAS Pensacola offers two (or three) great campgrounds. This is our first time staying at any of them and we were not disappointed. The Navy has some of the best military campgrounds out of all of the services. Oak Grove Park Park and Cottages is a great place to spend a few days or even the winter with their great usage policy. It is easy walking distance to the National Naval Air Museum ( www.navalaviat... ) and the Pensacola Lighthouse & Maritime Museum ( www.pensacolal... )

Military campgrounds (or famcamps) are a great benefit to Active Duty, Guard/Reserve, Retired, and some disabled veterans. If you have any questions about eligibility to use them, please contact the military campground you are interested in visiting as each has slightly different rules. All branches of the service (Army, Navy, Marines, Air Force, Coast Guard, and even Space Force) operate campgrounds all over the United States and not just on military installations!

That’s a lovely park! The sites look nice and have great shade. It’s cool that they offer long term parking for 3 months at a time. The rates aren’t too bad. The cabins get a great view for sure! I would not want to take our rig down that back way for sure.
It is a really nice park. Someone updated us in the comments about rate changes but still not bad. Military parks have been a huge blessing to us.
we love the Gulf! Been down there to Eglin Air Force Base and stayed several times but not at Pensacola naval air station. Looks nice!

I was considering this base as a DoD civilian for a month or so, working. If one has their own hot spot & booster, was cell service usable & good ? Thanks.
We do a lot of these videos. If it isn’t mentioned in the video, it is hard to remember.
CORRECTION - as of 1 May it the price for military is $30 a day for the non-"premium" sites. And/or $900 a month. No more weekly or monthly rates. The "waterfront"/prime sites (next to the laundry room/bathhouse are $34 a day. The 1 bedroom cottages (they aren't all up and running yet after the hurricane) are now going to be $125 a night for military, the 2 bedrooms are going to be $145 a night.
