- Another lure making tutorial this time we're making lipless crank bait. Using Linden wood. Two halves method and the tungsten weights. Next part will cover painting and foiling if the lure.

You should use super glue and baking soda to fill in your drill holes, faster and stronger that the filler you use.
Faster? yes. Stronger? definitely (no need for strength in the belly of the lure) but easier to sand smooth ? No, whatever the time you saved on the curing, you'll spend on sanding and still won't get it as smooth as putty filler 👌You can check my Popper or Jerkbait video I will use the baking soda + super glue to embed the through wire for strength purpose, yet still fill it in with putty for smooth finish 😉

Do you think the way you put the wire inside the lure is strong? Because i don’t like to screw wires like marling baits or others do because there are some big fish where i live and i feel like the hooks will just fall off
It is embedded in the solid wood reinforced with super glue - it is a 2" lure I'll be fishing on max 10lb line, so for sure the line will break before the wire pull out 😉 but let's say you want to target big fish and use 50lb line, try the twisted through wire like I'm making in this video:

That just can't break, your lure might get destroyed, but you will still bring your fish in 💪

Nothing special regular "super glue" co cyinide-acrylic glue 😉 5min epoxy will work as well - super glue is just cheaper and faster 👌
No field test if it swim ok?

Balsa could be better
idea for this project.
In case of lipless crank bait denser wood is better because you can reduce the amount of led/tungsten to achieve the same sinking ratio and correct swimming action 😉
