- I used to have a 2004 MDX, deleted the resonators on it (resonators for those who don't know are basically mufflers on the underside of the car, used to quiet the vehicle even more). That video is also here on youtube. This is a 2007 MDX with the 3.7L engine. Same thing, resonators deleted, but in this case instead of just having one resonator, it has two. Very simple thing that can be done at ANY muffler shop.
Which trim is the best to buy on 2007 model? There is elite trim and entertainment trim model? Any suggestion ?
Entertainment. Sorry I am late. Stay safe Bro👌
Any seat-of-the-pants drivability difference? Back in the day I had a V6 Ford Contour (don' judge me, yo!) and had the resonator removed with no drone, better mileage by a point or two, and much livelier throttle response. Anything like that going on with the MDX?
check engine light came on? Or any warning ⚠️ on the dash at all ? Also no problem going thru inspection?
Hey there Paul. Any additional sound clips being added?
No drone at all. In fact, unless you are standing outside the car, you can't even tell that anything was done.
No throttle response difference. MPG stayed the same. it is an automatic, AWD, very heavy SUV
Not sure if you're still replying. Was this a cold start or warm start? Also, you're saying you can't hear the difference at all inside the car? I find it hard to believe you don't hear any difference when it's definitely louder from the outside.
This was a warm start, had just driven back from the muffler shop. There is no sound difference inside. If you put the windows down you can hear it faintly, windows up you cannot. Acura did a very good job at keeping outside noise outside the car.
Paul Morgan very cool! Thanks for the reply. Do you think it's worth it then if you can't really hear it when you drive?
@@Taquitos95 depends on what you are going for. I like it, has a nice little growl to it now. Before it had nothing. If you are looking for loud exhaust, you would have to do more than the delete I did.
Paul Morgan that sounds perfect. I don't want it loud. Just to sound like a stock M car or something a little more sporty. Just some noise to hear the engine more.
@@Taquitos95 I would say yes, worth it. I hate an engine with NO exhaust note.
Is there any drone at city or highway speeds? Any rattling or raspiness when cold?
How much did it cost for the removal?
wasn't planning on it, but sure can. stationary or moving?
what did you remove to get that sound???
Resenator delete there are two resonators
Sounds like infiniti 0-o
No noticeable difference.
+Paul Morgan No throttle response or mileage difference either?
Mine sounds so much better
I kind of liked this one more.
