The kerfmake I bought is from Bridge City Tools. They are pretty expensive but worth every penny. . Here is a more affordable version from Amazon;

Wow, I just love your tips and tricks - I look forward to these as they really save me a lot of time. They are so useful!!!
Such a simple way to get an accurate joint.
she is perfect in every way❤
Yeah that's nice. I keep meaning to pick one of those up.
Keep pumping out the excellent content, i'm very contented watching you work magic with wood! Your voice is relaxing yet exotic, and it keeps me listening too! Thank you for sharing your knowledge!
Excellent, clear and simple
Glad you liked it
Very good teacher, very interesting themes and very nice woman 😊❤
I love your presentation (and your accent!). The audio is good and you obviously know what you're talking about. Keep up the good work.
Thank you so much!
That was great! That’s something I’ve kind of struggled with. I’m going to try that. Thanks for this.
Glad it was helpful!
Thanks for sharing your method. The kerf maker tool is interesting. Cheers!
Glad you enjoyed it. Thank YOU for watching
Thank you for the tip on saw depth. I've been using a measuring tape and it produced cuts that I declared "good enough" but were really not. Swapping the wood upside down till you get the paper thin slice is brilliant. The blade you used doesn't look like the one in your link (or is it?), so I wondered what blade you were using? Thanks again!
Thank you for the tutorial. I’ve never done a lap joint. Your method seems very thorough but I’m a total novice and probably need an easier method. Thank you for your content. New subscriber.
You can do it!
Thanks for the easy-to-follow video and introducing me to a kerfmaker. I will order one today.
Hope you enjoy it!
Awesome..mantaap
Very useful product, you are right pretty expensive. Thank you for sharing your demonstration with us. From Henrico County Virginia
Glad it was helpful!
Thanks for the tip, looks like a nice tool. Do you have any tips on cutting half lap joints at a 45 degree angle ?
simple and clear explanations = subscribed and bell activated. Thank You to share.
Awesome, thank you!
Well done. Mine never come out that good.
Thank you very much, Bobby
Nice work ❤.
Thanks ✌️
I can appreciate a woman who is good with wood and is beautiful.
Aww, Thank you
Well done.
Thank you
👍👍👍Thank you
Thank you too
Liked the video, good sound and shots! I have always just measuered my lap joints, but see the value and will check out the jig's pricing. Do you do a lot of lap joints? I see alot of 1x scraps. Is your shop use mainly hobby work,(1 offs) or do you do production work? Thanks for sharing and the detailed demo of the Kerfmaker jig S&S! Would like to see a video of your shop sometime. I will look for more of your videos S&S. Go Bengals!
Glad it was helpful! I dont do production work. Only started woodworking in November 2022. Made a desk for my daughter so far, a few end tables, bookshelfs, cutting boards, boxes, etc
LUUUUCILE ! LUCILLE LUCILLE LUCILLE 😊
Hi - I've noticed you have a DeWalt table saw, as do I. What's the flat-top saw blade you use? I'm struggling to find one that'll fit the 30mm arbor that the DeWalt's have...
I have the Ridge carbide box joint blade. I dont think is available on Amazon anymore. But a full kerf ripping blade usually have flat top as well. I am looking at ridge Carbide TS2000 Heavy duty 10" 24 tooth rip blade on amazon. In the description under Features and details it says Flat top.
الارتفاع جيد بس اثناء العمل لازم بعد التجربة
I wonder how these joints were made before power tools etc?
Another way is to take an offcut of the material you want to fit and rip it in two and glue it back together resulting in a piece of wood one blade less that can be used against a stop block to get the second cut. If the offcut is too small use hold downs on a sled to rip, if it's too tight your scrap might have had planer snipe.
I saw the way I described on RUclips I can't remember which channel I think it was some company that makes these.
The best part of this video was 9:00 - 9:40 I watched in slow motion
Cut a piece of the same material 45°on both sides to get the middle. Raise or lower your blade until the top is even with the cut. No guess, no mess. Make your cuts. Inspire Woodcraft does an excellent video on how to make lap joints.
Great tip! Thanks
7:44 How is cutting at 45° different than cutting at 90° in the video? Seems like it would just waste more material.
@@edeaglehouse2221 First, place a stop block. Then cut at 45.
Then flip over the piece that was against the stop. Cut at 45. This produces a knife edge at half the board's thickness. Place the knife against the blade and set the blade to the knife's edge.
@@bobd5119 Now that makes a lot of sense. Where the bevels cut from both faces meet is exactly halfway. No fiddling other than to eyeball each cut so they go more than halfway through, without much waste. Thanks for explaining!
I just got a kerfmaker, one of the Chinesium ones. No instructions. Watched your vid, problem solved. I need to make a sled.
Glad I could help
This young lady, besides being pretty and with 2 beautiful bubs is very smart and clear in her way of tutoring us.
Thank you,
Your inset picture reminds me of Naomi Watts. There are a couple of differences though.
:)
Measure the width of the wood and the depth. Use a square and pencil to mark such on both pieces of the wood. Draw the line with a knife. Chisel to the line to form a saw recess and cut using a handsaw. Cut out waste with a chisel and make flat and square. Do the same to the other piece. No need for kerf measures, power saw and countless trials to establish width of blade. Perfect every time once learnt, with added satisfaction of using a learnt skill. 😊
That’s definitely a skill I want to learn. Thank you.
Not everyone has time for that....
Learn to use power tools quickly and efficiently. That's a skill too.
thanks my wood is hard and i know how to half lap
Wood is good but gneiss is nicer
Great rack
Hhhh,ya,,,😂tits
NICE rack!
Well - that is certainly a high quality kerf maker, but it's also a bit pricey _[$ 109,- for the KM2]_ Other than that: *cool video*
I agree. There are many RUclips videos how you can make one
Hii mam
😍😍😍🥰🥰🥰🥰👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
This is the most tedious method I have ever seen. I'll stick to my own method. I can make perfect lap joints in half the time.
Thanks for taking the time to watch the video! We're glad you've found a method that works for you.
This is insanity.
Dado as opposed to dato, just saying.
Ah jeez, here she is again teasing with that t-shirt. Do you REALLY care about lap joints????????????
I am really interested but you have to turn up the volume. You are competing with pets, kids, old age, and the neighbours lawnmower. Please take this as helpful, not criticism.
Thank you for your feedback. Yes, will work on the audio
Five and a half minutes on measuring the kerf.. should have been a video for itself...
Yawn.
Sorry if that segment was too long. Was just trying to give opinions….
Long but demonstrates multiple techniques. Not everyone finds just one way easiest. I appreciated the alternatives.
@@woodworkingwithSkyler No need to apologize, the 5.5 minutes are needed for many woodworkers to comprehend. Everyone lacks the IQ of "Keith". Nice presentation, well done.
I have a kerfmaker but I did nowhow to use, Now, thanks to you I now am able to use it. ❤❤❤❤
