Sunny approach and landing in to Will Rogers World Airport on runway 17L. It may not be the most scenic landscape and approach but OKC is like my 3rd home and when its south flow, the downwind past the airport and base turn around Downtown Oklahoma City always makes me smile. Out of all of my flights into and out of KOKC over the last five years this was the first time I had ever consciously looked out behind the acft and caught a glimpse of Tinker AFB in the distance.

Magnificent footage once again, stunning visual quality
Great landing video! It looked like you could see the airport on the left hand side right before the final bank (turn).
@@AListFlierKris Exactly, he turned on left base leg I believe (I was going to mention base but I wasn't sure). That's a good idea, sit by a certain part of the plane if you know the direction of traffic.
That appears to be a DFW - OKC route come in east side of downtown and hook
Lovely touchdown, but thats SWA👋😉😉✈️✈️😅
Excellent Video....the clarity in HD is awesome too !!
It may look like a burnt piece of toast in the winter from the air, but I think Oklahoma is beautiful.
If this video was shot in early May to mid-October it would have been a completely different landscape.
Great HD footage of your approach into my home state!
"Burnt piece of toast" I haven't laughed that hard in a while. I've been through OKC at all different times of year and it indeed can be beautiful at times.
I live here as well, am a transplant from Louisuana, 42 yrs, would love to see a landing with snow on the ground.👋😉✈️✈️
@@carolynsteed3649if so, you will have to be extremely specific with your travel dates. When it does snow here, usually it’s sunny and in the mid 50’s the next day lol.
I lived in Alaska for a while and flew between here and there about 4 times a year. Taking off and landing in the winter up there was a whole different type of anxiety 😅 very beautiful though, for sure.
Welcome to Oklahoma! Hope you’re enjoying it here!!
I would too!
N7855A being a 79P used to fly for China Eastern airlines
Yep. WN has several acft that they picked up from them.
@@AListFlierKris I've seen whenever I pull up aircraft information that several have come from China.
I watch landings in North Carolina, and I watch landings here in OKC (my home) and realize it looks like an atom bomb blasted my city and there's nothing left but dirt. Ugly as sin.
I’ve noticed that before. There’s times of year though where it’s green and looks nicer. Looking forward to your trip that’s coming up soon?
@@AListFlierKris YOU REMEMBERED!!!!! I was going to tell you once I got the details squared away but I didn't think you'd remember me!
@@aviation-zr2ln reading your first comment, mentioning OKC I glanced at your username and it took me about 7 seconds but remembered that conversation about flying and the MAX.
@@AListFlierKris that's awesome! I love it! I leave OKC-HOU May 21 @ 2:50-4:20 come back HOU-OKC May 24 5:25-6:50. I'm excited but nervous too....thank you for remembering and asking. I watch your videos all the time. I can't believe you don't have millions of followers. Your videos blow the others away. Seriously. Quality, content everything!! From what I see many people feel the same way!
Well this was recorded in March, so it was still winter so everything was still brown and dormant.
